Report: Pope Francis Is 'In The Crosshairs OF ISIS' Israel says so....Vatican denies. http://washington.cbslocal.com/2014/08/29/report-pope-francis-is-in-the-crosshairs-of-isis/ Problem is for such alleged "threats" is that he's not afraid....perhaps even as the messages allege to the point of going to Israel when they are despairing due to the surrounding threats with no buffer zones left of earlier "neutral" countries. Things are spinning rapidly...esp. with "no U.S. strategy" to lead or depend upon. I have analyzed these locutions since february 2013. Even i read all the locutions twice. It consumed me plenty of time (more than 2 months). I wanted to believe it was true, but I could not come to this conclusion. The Locution's idea of the church moving permanently to Jerusalem is contrary to what I read in Maria Valtorta's works and dreams of St. John Bosco and others sources. There may be a temporary change but not permanently. The Pope may leave the Vatican and stay in exile for a while. In these locutions they insist to not back to Rome after this exile. The goal of these locutions may be to create a schism in the future. Anyone with a powerful mind who knows the third secret of Fatima can write these locutions, and a fallen angel would do this very well. Be very careful with them. The angelic mind is infinitely superior than our.
Reading them but I am still discerning. I dont think there is any reason though that the church might not move to Jerusalem in a new era. There are questions about Maria Valtorta also. I
Hi Bonaventure, my views on the matter are well known, so I will not add to them - except to say I am living the First Five Saturday Devotion - and First Fridays as well. I preach that we must man the posts given to us faithfully - and so I try to live it. But yours is an excellent question.
I too believe along with Father Apostoli that the second part of what Our Blessed Mother has asked has not been done. How many good Catholics do you know who aren't even aware of the First Saturday devotion but complain that the Consecration was not accepted? I can tell you that I know of many and I am still making Catholics aware of it. We need to stop our concerns about the Consecration and do what Our Blessed Lady has asked of us. We also need to make our Priests aware. I have been Catholic for 20 years and have heard very few Priests even speak about Fatima. Even this morning on this wonderful feast day of Our Lady, Her name was hardly mentioned during the homily - it was all about the Birthday of our Diocese. It makes me so sad! God have mercy on us! Sorry for complaining.
Amen, Lynn....Amen, Charlie.....when I hear the Consecration was not accepted it sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher to me.....wahh wahh, wahh wahh wahh wahh, wahh wahh...... I can't control anything except doing my piece, which is the first 5 Saturdays devotion and to spread that! ....off to wish the BVM a Happy Birthday at Mass tonight!!!!
I agree, we need to do what Our Lady asked and not worry about things not in our control. I can tell you there are two of us left on a Saturday Mass at Church each month spending the fifteen minutes to meditate on the the mysteries of the Rosary. Most people in my parish do not follow either First Friday or First Saturday devotions- I believe if the Church did we would be in much better shape. I also was sad the homily this morning was not very Marian focused but I did bring Mama roses this morning to her side altar. As for the locutions, I have stopped reading them. To me they are way too tied to the current news of the day. Jesus is not waiting for His opportunity to opine on Obama as much as I would love it Anyone paying attention to the news or talk radio can see what is ahead of us- even those not particularly religious. I believe the Lord does not want us to speculate as much but to prepare our hearts and souls for Him to return and be ready at all times. Even if world events do not unfold as it looks like they might we all still face our own end times. But yet while we do not know the date or time we are to look at the signs and be ready. The Blessed Mother at Fatima and Our Lord to St. Faustina has given us our assignments. That is the part I can do.
Amen, Lifesong. We worry so much about the 'politics' of the moment. After having spent the bulk of a lifetime working in the field, I have been telling my friends in that business that "traditional politics is already a dead man walking" since 2007. I have helped some of them - still give counsel to those who call me. But I do it as a matter of living solidarity with people I care about - and living solidarity means helping with what is important to them, not just what is important to me. But all my friends know that I believe politics is already a useless endeavor. People think that the politicians you see and hear on TV and in the news are the titans; the decision makers of our time. Actually, they have already become irrelevant. They have nothing to say - and nothing they can do any longer - that can help things. The only power they have left is to speed things along on the road to crash. There are those in the seats of power who privately know this. Some call me to talk about their plan for refuge and how to protect their family when it all comes unglued - as they now know it must. They trundle along for the same reason the rest of us do: it is what they have done all their lives and all they know to do. Christ our light!
What's the most TRUSTED profession in the nation? Politics? nay Doctors? nay Stockbrokers? nay Lawyers? nay It's nurses! A bit off topic, but had to share that.... Notice where Lobbyists fall! http://campaignforaction.org/community-post/2013-gallup-poll-nursing-most-trustworthy-profession
Depends on what your needs are at the time. A plumber could be highly respected if your sewer is backing up into your basement
... more right on than we imagine... The Church in the World We are in the midst of a Third World War, says Pope 21 August 2014 by Hannah Roberts in Rome On his return journey from his visit to Korea this week, Pope Francis lamented the growing number of conflicts across the globe, saying that we “are now in World War III”. He told journalists on board the papal plane: “Today we are in a world at war everywhere. A man said to me, ‘Father, we are in World War III, but spread out in small pockets everywhere.’ He was right.” In an extraordinary intervention, the Pope on Monday implied that military action might be necessary to stop the jihadists of the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq, though he ruled out the use of bombs. More than 100,000 Christians have been driven from their homes by Islamist terrorists. He said that he is considering going to northern Iraq to show solidarity with those who have been murdered, raped and exiled by the IS. He added that strong measures were “justified” – so long as these were not the acts of only one country. “In those cases where there is an unjust aggression, I can only say that it is legitimate to stop the unjust aggressor,” he said. “I underscore the verb ‘stop’. I don’t say ‘to bomb’ or to ‘make war’, but to ‘stop’.” We should be “frightened at the level of cruelty that has become the norm”, Francis continued. “Today children do not count. Once they spoke about a conventional war, today that does not count. I’m not saying that conventional wars were good things, but today a bomb is sent and it kills the innocent, the guilty, children, women – they kill everybody. No! We must stop and think a little about the level of cruelty at which we have arrived. This should frighten us.” The Pope went on to condemn the way torture had become “almost ordinary”. “I tell Catholics that to torture a person is a mortal sin, a grave sin. But it’s more, it’s a sin against humanity,” he said. The Pope has dispatched a special envoy, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, to Iraq to deliver spiritual and financial support to the Christian and Yazidi minorities. In a joint statement with Chaldean Catholic Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako, the cardinal said they had “heard about and seen for themselves the tragedy and suffering of so many families that have left their villages, their homes and property”. The cardinal said that the international community had a “moral responsibility” to use military force to liberate villages from IS terrorists. “The hope of these people must not be allowed to die!” he said. Last week the Vatican called on Muslim leaders to “unambiguously” denounce the persecution by IS and suggested that it will break off relations with those who do not. The Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue said: “The situation of the Christians, Yazidis and other [minorities] demands that religious leaders, and above all Muslim religious leaders, people engaged in inter-religious dialogue take a clear and courageous stance. All must be unanimous in unambiguous condemnation of these crimes and denounce the invoking of religion to justify them.” Amel Shimoun Nona, the Chaldean Catholic Archbishop of Mosul, living in exile after IS drove all the Christians from his diocese or killed them, told Italy’s Corriere della Sera newspaper that “liberal and democratic principles are worth nothing here”, adding that “Islam does not say that all men are equal”, and if Westerners “do not understand this soon enough, you will become the victims of the enemy you have welcomed into your home”.
