Little Me, If you're still listening, I wonder if you've ever heard "The Servant Song" at mass. That song for some reason turns my eyes into streams. I think it's because I watched my father live out his faith, loving my mother with the love of Christ, even though her mental illness caused her to mistreat him. He went about all the duties of husband and father of 5, suffering in silence, but so strong in his faith, a very good example of a man, ...quiet, but with unseen strength, and the heart of a servant.
Latest Pelianito Message 2 Maccabees 2:5, 7 Jeremiah came and found a cave-dwelling, and he brought there the tent and the ark and the altar of incense; then he sealed up the entrance. (Jeremiah) declared: “The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy.” “My beloved children, the time is drawing near when this prophecy will be fulfilled. After the time of sorrow, comes the time of glory, the days when my children will know and love me. And they shall be one with me as I am one with the Father and the Spirit. I cannot convey to you adequately how much my heart longs for this. You cannot comprehend the depths of my longing. If I communicated this longing to your heart, it would burst immediately. Children, pray for the coming of my kingdom, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of our Mother. Long for it as I do. If I find even a sliver of longing in a heart, reparation is made for the great and many sins of the age. Give me your longing children! I will use it to shorten the days.” Our family always prays for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart after our nightly rosary. It was special to read this request of our Lord. It won't be long now. We need to add praying for the coming of the kingdom of the Divine Will as well.
There are many mysterious references in the Bible that leave me wondering. Here is yet another one about a mysterious cave. I love this just for itself and feel like Indiana Jones reading about such things. But there are also some very mysterious events going on in our own days linking to the Triumph of Mary, which is to say the Triumph of the Church. I know that in the the end it is love and prayer that really matter still I love some of the wonderful mysterious matters I read and hear off. I think this of the cave reminds me of the cave in Revelation which as you recall the woman runs to , with her child to hide from the dragon. It also , of course has echoes of the Nativity Cave in Bethlehem and Mary and Joseph hiding from Herod. At least those are Indiana Jones ideas.
A mysterious cave under Mount Calvary and the place of Jesus' Crucifixion holding the Ark of the Covenant to receive the Blood of the Spotless Lamb is discussed here and then here
Thanks sister, I am away camping a few days I will watch it when I come back. I think it was Blessed Catherine Emmerich who had a vision of a Holy Place on top of the Himalyas were many holy objects are kept including the Holy Grail and the staff of St Joseph by guardians who are permitted to live till the end of time. This is very like the Tibetan story of the land of Shangri la http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shangri-La I think what makes the story plausible is that it was Catherine who indicated the site of the Holy House at Ephesus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_the_Virgin_Mary
Cathy...this is where the Catholic Church eclipses the Protestants and Jews. You Protestants do not have the book of Maccabees II in your Old Testament canon...nor do the Jews. In our Catholic Old Testament canon we do have the book of Maccabees II and do consider it inspired Sacred Scripture. Maccabees II clearly relates that Jeremiah took the Ark of the Covenant to Mt Nebo where "so stopped the door". God hide the Ark on Mt Nebo till the appointed time. I find it humorous that the Catholic Church has a monastery on Mt Nebo whilst the Jews and Protestants look elsewhere. What is striking is the picture of Pope John Paul the II at Mt Nebo next the "Rod of Aaron" with a Serpent looking into Israel...just as Moses would have done. Moses was buried on Mt Nebo...and God returned the Ark of the Covenant back to Moses's burial spot. The Ark if you recall contained the 10 Commandments, the Rod of Aaron and some Manna. God has hidden the Ark with the man Moses. Our Catholic Sacred Scripture tells us so in Maccabees II. God in His wisdom has hidden this from the Jews and Protestants. So when the Ark of the Covenant is found the Catholic Church will gain complete credibility because we have it in our Old Testament Canon whereas those who rejected the authority of Christ Church shall recognize who the real Church of Christ is.
My apologies Cathy...not to be a smart bunny but I automatically assumed that if you where Catholic and Sacred Scripture relates where the Ark of the Covenant is that it would be a settled matter for Catholics. I once worked with the guy at the Nashville Sheriffs department that provided Ron Wyatt his security on his excursions and actually did some diving for him. I asked him if they ever really found anything...he just mentioned they saw some stuff in the Red Sea and nothing about the Ark of the Covenant in Jerusalem. He also mentioned he almost quit because Ron's son was smoking a lot of hash. He was a true law and order man. I'll try and contact him when I get a chance ( if he still alive) and see what he thinks about Ron's claim concerning the Ark.
If I lived in your part of the world Padraig, I would like to try camping a night here...,not sure if it is still open...http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/...tes/st-patrick’s-purgatory-saints-island.html
Under Calvary is Adam... Essentially the same story is recounted by: A text of c.325-350 attributed, probably falsely, to Athanasius of Alexandria (c.297-373) John Chrysostom (c.347-407) in a homily on John's gospel, 19:16, says "Some say that Adam died there, and there lies; and that Jesus in this place where death had reigned, there also set up the trophy." A fifth or sixth century commentary on Isaiah, attributed, again probably falsely, to Basil the Great (329-379) Epiphanius of Salamis (c.310-403) in his Panarion 46.5, against the Tatianists, says Adam "was buried there, on the site of Golgotha. This is probably the way the place, which means 'Place of a Skull', got its name, since the contour of the site bears no resemblance to a skull." Basil of Seleucia (d. 458) in his Sermon 38 (Patrologia Graeca 85.409) Jerome (347-420) in his commentaries on Matthew 27:33 and Ephesians 5:14, both written in 398; though he finds the story doubtful. Even at this stage of Christian history, there was some doubt about the archaeological truth of the story, despite its tempting doctrinal resonance (Christ as the second Adam). The location of the crucifixion was not known with any certainty; still less, the burial place of Adam, which Jerome instead located in Hebron. If Adam's skull is buried under Golgotha, and if the Holy Sepulchre is indeed built on top of Golgotha, then the skull is somewhere under the church. Regardless, it is still a very old story, as the examples above show.
You would not be allowed to camp their Mac. The Church owns the whole island. But I went on a parish pilgrimage one time and to my delight two of our Bishops led it. I didn't want to go as the Penance put me off and anyway I prefer being on my own. But it turned out to be one of the richest spiritual experiences of my life , a real knock out, especially since I never expected anything at all much. A very powerful confession there, for instance. In the middle ages St Patrick's island was one of the greatest pilgrimage sites in Europe people from all over came to visit, that in the days it would have taken them many dangerous months. I can see why. Great graces of inner conversion.
I never knew Scripture indicated where the Ark lay. Sometimes I fell like I am just starting to learn.
March 1 2015 message to Pelianito: Psalm 99:5 Extol the Lord our God; worship at his footstool. Holy is he! “Beloved, if you knew the power of praise, if you fathomed one small portion of its depth, you would not cease to praise your God. Extol your God! This is the Christian’s secret weapon, for evil cannot exist where God is praised. Let ‘Holy!’ be your cry. Let not your lips open unless you are praising God in your spirit. The soul that praises God continually in her heart will never have to confess sins of speech, for the odor of praise will emanate from her words, even when she speaks of mundane things. Praise is a remedy for sin, but not just a remedy, for it can prevent sin. Ponder this deeply, my children. Praise God continually in your hearts. In the Divine Will alone is this possible. But I have made this gift available to you, so make use of it. Do not let so powerful a gift lie dormant. Children, live in praise through the gift of the Divine will. I am near.” Heavenly, Father, Son and Spirit, Mighty God, Blessed Trinity of Love, in the Divine Will I ask for the gift of continuous praise. May every beat, breath, and movement I take or make be a reverberation of praise in my soul and in all of heaven! May your holy name be glorified! May your praises be sung on earth as in heaven! In me O Lord, I want you to find the praises of the Gloriana* eternally repeated in me through our Most holy Mother. Holy are you! Holy! May all creation worship you! Amen. (*Gloriana: The angels and saints in perfect communion with the Blessed Trinity; the perfect unity of heaven.) http://pelianito.stblogs.com/
What a beautiful message!!! This prayer of praise "I love You, I praise You, I worship You, I honor You, I adore You, I thank You! ... is the particular form of prayer that Jesus taught to Luisa Piccarreta to pray in the Divine Will. They have created a marvelous version of this prayer for daily use -similar to the structure of the Divine Office- free for download here. It is a VERY POWERFUL form of prayer, you get a special sense of it and a desire to pray in that way. And then you feel drawn to just dwell with that kind of praise, adoration, and thanksgiving in God's Lap. I highly recommend you to try it.
I love this message of Peli's today- praise and worship sometimes is all you need to keep focused on God and to stop looking at your circumstances.
Sunday, March 22, 2015 Jeremiah 7:13-15 And now, because you have done all these things, says the Lord, and when I spoke to you persistently, you did not listen, and when I called you, you did not answer, therefore I will do to the house that is called by my name, in which you trust, and to the place that I gave to you and to your ancestors, just what I did to Shiloh. And I will cast you out of my sight, just as I cast out all your kinsfolk, all the offspring of Ephraim. “My children, how much longer must I put up with this generation? The time is very short indeed, for many have turned their backs on my Word and spurned my love. Therefore I will give them what they desire, a world bereft of its Creator. Woe and lamentation! Pray and fast, my children. There is much to be done, for when my children have lost everything, then I will reveal myself to them and outside of grace, it will be too much to bear. You, my children, must be dispensers of grace in the world. While you are able, receive me in the Holy Eucharist. Carry my presence to the world. You will be a light shining in the darkness. I have told you these things to spur you on to more heroic sacrifices and prayers. It is easy to be distracted, but I tell you, you will one day lament the time you wasted, when you could have been praying. Children, unite yourselves to me. Live in me. Let your daily duty be consecrated to me, that I might sanctify the world through your every movement. Live in me. We have so much to do! Children, listen!” Heavenly Father, already I lament the time I have wasted frivolously. In the Divine Will I ask you to redeem those wasted moments and use them to your glory. Help me not to waste any more precious moments, but to consecrate my every thought, word, and deed in the Divine Will, through the Flame of Love of our Immaculate Mother. Here I am Lord, I come to live in your holy will. Here is my weakness, Lord, give me your strength. Amen.
While you are able... Dear friends, It is good to discuss and and enjoy one another's support. And I believe that the gathering in Minnesota should not be taken lightly! But the time is soon when we will have neither the internet or the Eucharist near at hand. Time is so short. I suggest you practice making spiritual communions regularly, especially on days you fail to make Holy Mass. Intercede for one another. If you have discerned not to re-locate then find Christians nearby to network with. This fall is decisive and it is but six months away! Pray to St. Isaac Jogues who was without Eucharist for over a year while imprisoned by the Iroquois. Pray, fast, and be God's hands and feet to the weak and the lost. Be at the Holy Spirit's disposal. Always rejoice in the Two Hearts and thank God for His gifts of both mercy and trials so that our hearts remain humble and pure! O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you!
The spiritual communions are for those who cannot attend Mass (or are unable to receive communion due to confession). The Pieta prayer book lists a Spiritual Communion as: "The value of a spiritual Communion well made is enormous. We can and should make one frequently. Simply think on Jesus and how much He loves us and how much we love Him, then ask Our Blesses Mother to ask Her Divine Son to come into our hearts. We can offer these Communions for the interest of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, noting our special intention!" God Bless!
