I have said several times, Fatima, that the Rescue is when Our Lady is sent, visibly and miraculously to all, to rescue us from the Storm at near its most dire point. My priests suggested - and I have come to agree - that it is synonymous with the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart. After that comes a prolonged - but natural - period of peace, joy and prosperity. On another thread here is a debate going about timelines. Those things are a temptation to me to speak beyond what I am told or authorized on (yeah, my mind is given to speculation too, so I discipline myself to avoid it.) I will say two things here on the matter. First as to the times...no one has yet come up with an objection that I didn't already come up with...but I was told my private speculations on the matter were errant because they placed limitations of man on God's actions. Second, my work is confined to getting people safely across through the Storm. I may briefly help folks to disembark after we reach the safety of the other shore, but I have no part in the substantial rebuilding effort that comes after that. I will be allowed to enjoy a few years and am encouraged to help gather support for the building of the Shrine...but I am firmly instructed that if I try to supervise rebuilding efforts my time here will be ended abruptly...and I really want to enjoy those early years of peace.

There is also other Catholic prophecy that after the Great Miracle of Garabandal (permanent sign in the sky) then comes the Chastisements. Could the great 'Rescue' be the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the crushing of Satan's head) sending Satan into his rightful place in hell until the end of the world? Then comes the era of the anti-christ and false prophet and the ambomination of desolatation for 3.5 years (book of Daniel prophecy) bringing his destruction through the Second Coming and era of peace?

I was reading through a book of poems and came upon this one which struck me in light of the storm we are in.... The Captain's Daughter by James T. Fields We were crowded in the cabin, Not a soul would dare to sleep, It was midnight on the waters, And a storm was on the deep. "Tis a fearful thing in winter To be shattered by the blast, And to hear the rattling trumpet Thunder, "Cut away the mast!" So we shuddered there in silence, For the stoutest held his breath, While the hungry sea was roaring And the breakers talked with Death. As thus we sat in darkness, Each one busy with his prayers, "We are lost!" the captain shouted As he staggered down the stairs. But his little daughter whispered, As she took his icy hand, "Isn't God, upon the ocean, Just the same as on the land?" Then we kissed the little maiden. And we spoke in better cheer, And we anchored safe in harbour When the morn was shining clear. Kinda reminds me of Charlie's mantra of Hope and Trust.
I was fascinated to read this article about talk a Franklin Graham gave the other night. Maybe he is reading Charlie's blog . He too says we are in the Storm and the ONLY way through it is trust in Jesus. IMHO Franklin Graham is a modern day Jonah crying out to America to repent. Here's my hang up: if the storm began in 2009, we are waaaay past 25 million deaths worldwide. Way, way past.
It's been predicted more like 70% of world population due to natural disasters and a large percent of the survivors from disease, etc. afterwards!! Well, when you think about the small remnants from previous purifications...like Noah....what should we really expect for a world such as today's!!
Your problem is because of the ambiguous way I phrased it. I did not mean that 26 million total would die during the duration of the Storm, but that 26 million would die as a direct result of the Storm. After reading your comment, I realized that using the word "through" is ambiguous there. I was thinking "through the instrument of."
Putting that into perspective: the population of the state of Texas was 26.96 million in 2014. And 26 million people would be a little over 12% of the population of the United States.
