wow, I don't read Charlie's blog, so this is an interesting thread for me. The fact that obama will not finish his term and there will be no election in 2016 I find fascinating. After obama was elected the first time, I was sure there would not be another election...but then there was. I thought again there won't be another election, so maybe I'm right on this last call. although, I always thought he would call martial law and call off the elections so obviously he would be finishing his term and then some. so, we'll see how it ends. it's right around the corner too...whatever happens.

Bonaventure, the context of Charlie's prediction that Obama will not finish his term is that the entire government will fall. Everything goes, not just Obama, although I'd like to see him go sooner rather than later. But Charlie's prediction is that the entire government falls and all of the supporting structures of our society. That's quite daunting to consider, so I try not to think about it too much as it just leads to worry and instead concentrate on doing the small things one at a time. Sometimes that's hard to do and doubt, fear, and anxiety crept in again last night and I couldn't fall asleep for a couple of hours as I considered in my mind what it is to come and how I'll protect my family
Also re. Obama, I believe Charlie said he was shown that in the end, Obama converts (meaning he really doesn't believe in Christ now). After Obama sees that his decisions led to the destruction of our country, he comes to realize his role in the cause and turns to God and is saved. That's good, I don't wish eternal damnation on anyone's soul.
yeah, I was being a bit tongue in cheek there....I know that is what Charlie's reference may be toward, government collapse. Eye on the DOW, down 300 today....Overseas, not a good day either....but who knows what will precipitate this? Today at school, the Power crashed off.....everything went dark for 5 minutes.....I was actually thinking "Is this IT?" Personally I worry about an EMP or Meteor or hack....but, I went on the walkie talkie and asked "Is this outage building wide?" I work in a HS the size of an airport.....the answer was yes.....quiet, no lights, no computer....the few kids in my office were like, what's happening as the generator struggled to start....then, it all came back on..... But I can't take anything for granted, FP
Obama is a very evil narcistic man. If he converts it will be nothing short of a great miracle. I don't see Charlie's prophecy coming true on this one. Could be wrong, but a great miracle it will take.

Right! All is possible with God. That is why our family pray's for our leaders every night after our rosary. I am just saying it would be of the greatest grace for him to enter into the light. He is a man who has stated publicly that he would have his own grandchild killed if his daughter was to have an unwanted pregnency. Doesn't get much more evil then that.
I have no problem believing a conversion can take place. If one has life ,one has a hope. But yes a great miracle needed indeed. Its when people talk about Judas making it to Heaven ,I think ,What planet are you on? Charlie ,you know you have a huge following on this forum. If you've been following Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, he is saying 2015 is another shemitah year, ie, a repeat of the 2008 story all over again. An its definitely shaping up that way. * A "Grexit" is being openly spoken about by EU leaders in 2015. *The EU will begin outright money printing in 2015. *The US has been printing money for years and is just a bad shape as Europe. So many different people saying a crash is coming.

Hi Mac, no your little digs don't trouble me (too much, anyway). I was in real politics from the time I was 16 locally and then much larger - and I wrote extensively for some prominent public policy journals. I long ago got used to people talking rough about me. Ironically, some of the people who talked roughest about me early on became steadfast friends and allies eventually. You never know. Actually, I just am overwhelmed with stuff at my site and with emails I try to respond to in a reasonably timely manner. I check in here every few days at the least - I do enjoy the vigorous debates on things and it often informs my thought. I think this is one of the few forums in the world where serious Christians can have at it - and Padraig does a marvelous job at keeping it open but keeping it from becoming an all-out street brawl. Even so, I dare not get caught up in some of the brawls here. First, I have my own platform, so I get my say. Second, my ethnic background is mainly Irish, German, and American Indian. My dear mother spent much of her life tormenting herself over the damage her sharp tongue sometimes did when she got her Irish up. I am my mother's son and try, as much as possible, to avoid such regrets. (Alas, it's a dodgy proposition. Thank God for confession!)

Charlie has a new article today that reiterates the dire situation we are all in. It is not meant to insight fear, but is rather a dose of reality in order to encourage us to gird our loins, rely on the Lord, and remove the blinders.
I share the blessing/curse of the Irish way with words. I'm convinced that if I make Saint, it will be chiefly because of the brilliant, biting things I DON'T say. It is truly painful to have such things on the tip of my tongue and then, with a nudge from my angel, choke them down like a dirt sandwich for the love of Jesus!
