Prayer to Our Lady of America, Patroness of our Land Written at the behest of Our Lady, October 5, 1956 by Sister Mary Ephrem (Mildred Neuzil) Oh Immaculate Mother, Queen of our country, open our hearts, our homes, and our land to the coming of Jesus, your Divine Son. With Him, reign over us, O heavenly Lady, so pure and so bright with the radiance of Gods light shining in and about you. Be our leader against the powers of evil set upon wresting the world of souls, redeemed at such a great cost by the sufferings of your Son and of yourself, in union with Him, from that same Savior, Who loves us with infinite charity. We gather about you, O chaste and holy Mother, Virgin Immaculate, Patroness of our beloved Land, determined to fight under your banner of holy purity against the wickedness that would make all the world an abyss of evil, without God and without your loving maternal care. We consecrate our hearts, our homes, our Land to your Most Pure Heart, O great Queen, that the kingdom of your Son, our Redeemer and our God, may be firmly established in us. We ask no special sign of you, sweet Mother, for we believe in your great love for us, and we place in you our entire confidence. We promise to honor you by faith, love, and the purity of our lives according to your desire. Reign over us, then, O Virgin Immaculate, with your Son Jesus Christ. May His Divine Heart and your most chaste Heart be ever enthroned and glorified among us. Use us, your children of America, as your instruments of peace among men and nations. Work your miracles of grace in us, so that we may be a glory to the Blessed Trinity, Who created, redeemed, and sanctifies us. May your valiant spouse, St. Joseph, with the holy Angels and Saints, assist you and us in "renewing the face of the earth." Then when our work is over, come, Holy Immaculate Mother, and as our Victorious Queen, lead us to the eternal kingdom, where your Son reigns forever as King. Amen Nihil Obstat: Daniel Pilarczyk, S.T.D. Imprimatur: +Paul F. Leibold, V.G.
My husband and I lived just outside the gates of the Monastery of Mother Angelica and were told by Deacon Bill (God rest his soul) that Mother said she would "live in the new era" . Perhaps we have entered into that era (of living in God's Divine Will as many of you are trying to do), but not the fulfillment of it, That will come in God's time.
I suppose she does much more by her suffering, by lying on the Cross than she ever could do at EWTN. I was watching an old episode of her from back in 1995 and she mentioned ill health even then. There is no doubt she will be canonised but I suspect all the current crop of US Bishops and Cardinals will have to be well cold in their graves first.
I came across the following blog article clearly written by a Protestant by his reference to the Rapture. As a Catholic, I don't believe in the "rapture" as Protestants do- that it comes before the Second Coming of Christ. But, I wonder about his premise in terms of The Warning. Will certain countries or regions be more responsive to the illumination of conscience? I'm wondering if people and places that have lost their way rather than completely turning from God, will be more open/ ready? http://www.wnd.com/2014/09/where-is-america-in-end-times-prophecy/
Well I suppose one could look at this as the glass half filled vs. half empty! But, it just brings to a boil to see groups like this American Humanist group indicate that the words "under God" discriminate against atheists. I mean if you don't believe in God, then why would you even care? Just ignore it. I mean they are good at saying something does not exist, so just think to yourself that the words don't exist. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/sep/4/under-what-poll-one-third-of-americans-want-god-ou/ O well, onto more important issues, but I guess just more signs of the times of how America has become over secularists, placing no reliance on God. The chickens will be home to roost very soon.
There are red martyrs and white martyrs. The more your heart hurts because of what is going on the the world and in the Church, the more you die. Praise God and offer all to Him.
I find atheists to be interesting. All too often I find that atheists hide a stewing anger and resentment under their "logical" facades. In debating some of them about the existence of God, I find that it is not logic at all that moves them to come to their decision, but emotion. As I said, many seem angry about something that happened to them at some point, or resentful. I've yet to find a happy atheist. Many are intent on trying to undermine others who believe in God because of that anger. They need to lash out. I think this is at the core of this American Humanist group.
When she set up her mission in Irondale, Alabama, the state was less than 2% Catholic. I was pleasantly surprised that that is where she located - because I was a toddler in Irondale. Used to spend time with my great-grandmother on a hill above the old railyards. I remember a big boy who took a liking to me who used to ride me around town in the basket on his bike. EWTN headquarters are just about three miles from where I stayed. And the Catholic population of Alabama has more than doubled since she came. Now it is just under 4%
Mother Angelica is a Saint! She is suffering and praying for this country and for the Church in America. Thank you, Jesus for giving us this beacon of light in the darkness of this world!
I guess this is common sense, but nice to read that perseverance pays off. We sometimes drag our teens kicking and screaming to Mass or to the living room for the Rosary and I have to admit that sometimes I'm agitated by it all. I hope though as this article appears to show it is sinking in ! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david...-teens-kee_b_6067838.html?utm_hp_ref=religion
n April of 2012, in the name of Pope Benedict XVI and the Church, the United States Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, called on the United States to lead the world: “The Church in the United States should lead the entire Church in the world...This is a great task, but you have the determination and the grace to do it. This I know is the vision of the Holy Father regarding the Church in the United States.” Pray, pray, pray!!!
miker, My six children are now aged 30 down to 16 and all are faithful to Jesus and His Church. Keep up the good work! Believe me that it was the faucet of family prayer that kept their hearts open! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
It sounds like the FBI and other law enforcement agencies have inside knowledge that there will not be an indictment and are preparing for what sounds like chaos and violence. I feel this country in many ways is sitting on a powder cake and just ready to explode with anger. I pray cooler heads prevail. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fbi-...olence-extremist-protesters/story?id=26980624
immigration announcement today...ferguson planned for tomorrow. maybe the cold weather will keep some protesters at home and hopefully the snow puts out the fires of this powder keg this country is sitting on. Our Lady of America...pray for us...what a crucial time for this country of ours!1

Hmm... Maybe Duke will now even allow Christian groups to freely encores their beliefs on Campus. Don't hold your breath. Another sign of western civilization just rolling over. http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...o-be-chanted-every-friday-at-duke-university/
I wonder if politically motivated Duke University will set aside a time to braodcast the Rosary daily? It is all meant to be to bring forth the anti-Christ, but it is all to obvious the soul of America has become Babylon the Great.
The only chant I've heard in recent years about the rosary in more than one country is 'Get your rosaries out of my ovaries'. To be honest, it's looking more and more like, implicitly at least, Catholicism has been outlawed.
These things shall come. I really urge all to not get too caught up in these things as it will steal your peace and take your eye off the ball of what you need to be doing now. We know most of our brothers and sisters are lost souls. We know the tribulation is at hand and much worse is coming. We know there are thousands of abortions carried out daily and various other atrocities by the minute it seems. It'll get worse. It is literally time to circle the wagons with your trusted family and friends and cling to God and pray for the lost souls to be converted. And prepare, in prayer, but also prepare physically with whatever it is you feel you need. Whether it be ammo, firewood, non perishable food, a water filter or access to spring water, a physical refuge. Whatever. The one thing I keep thinking I'm missing is a couple of really solid cast iron pots and pans, going to order those today online (any ideas on some good ones?). I'm sure there's a lot more I could use but at least that's enough to make me feel I've prepared to the best of my feeble knowledge to be able to feed and keep my family alive to the best of my ability. I only skim the news now to keep an eye on the horizon for the big ones coming. I saw that Duke story and just shook my head and moved on, there's nothing we can do about these things not in our territory that we can exercise some influence upon. Trust God, take each step one at a time, be a sign of hope to those around you. Don't give in to anger or feeling helpless, just turn it over to and trust in God and let Him direct you
So somehow Duke can to its senses. I'd like to think it was through it prayers, but why do I think their alumni donors were calling and making their voices heard. http://www.wncn.com/story/27857809/duke-university-to-hold-weekly-muslim-prayer-service
