I agree, it is just getting them to listen. But I have to tell them what I think may be happening- it is just how to broach it with young adults think I am over the top as it is.

Great thread. As anyone with kids/teens, working full time and trying to stay strong in faith it can be very difficult. Taking my 19 year, pot smoking (hoping only this), newly athiest son to university shortly it's all I can do to get enough sleep and find peace, concentrate at work, lead my family rightly and trust in Jesus. Feeling really tested right now. I know now is the time to prepare for things to come. My wife and daughter are versed in it but it scares them. As head of the family (not bragging this is were I am put) just trying to prepare myself spiritually enough to lead my family is proving difficult. As for physically preparing I really have to Trust in Jesus and Mary to lead/guide me as they see it best. I am willing to scrifice myself for my family or other in need if that is what I am called to do. We have no debt and some money set aside but I am not counting on that at all nor do I really care about money or things. I am just going to keep praying and look to others also to help guide me and my family. This will be the unltimate test of faith and I am not certain I will stay strong enough but I do know I can put everyone before myself if needed. This MOG site is great and the people on here are inspiring. My only out of place comment for Padrig is.... it would be wonderful if the recent post list was 2 or 3 times longer. Digging into threads through the menu system makes them often very hard to find again. I know there is the seach feature to but this is limited also.
I think the recent post lists only show the places you yourself have posted on. Post all over the place and you wil lget a huge list.
I think the referral being made is to the "Top 10 list" in the right margin. I also have desired to see more than the 10 most recent bumped threads. It would be cool if the Recent Posts title above the "recent 10 list" was itself a link to a longer Recent Posts list (like the most recent 20 or 30 threads with posts).....
Just for interest sake regarding the Russia invading Ukraine part......I can't say what is true or false in the world events reported anymore, everything is spun to make the other side look bad. This link, although not in english, from from almost 3 weks ago claims Ukraine was purchasing cheap tanks from Hungary to possibly paint as decoy Russian tanks to futher the hostilities. Is it true? Who knows but don't believe everything you read on the MSM as fact I would advise. There isn't a clear good guy/bad guy scenario like people want you to think. The pictures tell a story for sure, but who really knows who is transporting those tanks and where too. The US knows the collapse of the dollar is upon them and war is a great distraction. I have yet to see a picture of him from the press making eye contact with anyone. His pictures are worth a thousand words. I just read the last 3 weeks of LTTW and they are spot on. I hadn't been keeping up with them because of summer chaos here, but just to read them in hindsight is startling. I watched a video last night which gave me pause...its short. MMM- I WAS that pot smoking, 19 year old athiest in college and I can tell you this- Mary never abandoned me. I look back to my college days and remember SO many times that I was given the grace to avoid a situation or certain people. There was always a line I wouldn't cross (Mary WAS that line I realize now). Keep up the prayers, they really do make a difference.
