The Church in the future I think, after the Warning will be very much a lay Church as indeed the Holy Father has indicated. The Official 'Church' will more nor less collapse. It will be more and more about the Mystical Body than the organisation.

I think the Warning will be the jump seat to this.

I was thinking that too Padraig, we really will all be one.

Yes sometimes it is necessary for the old to die for the new to be reborn. If Rome and the Curia as it is now had continued perhaps it would have been a block to the new.

We are all of us , in a way about to take a time trip back to the catacombs were we will all start again on a level footing. This will make the reforging possible.

Theological disputes won't matter much when we all face death and have all seen Christ face to face in the skies; having being confronted with our own sins we will not be concerned with the failings of others.

would the US have the audacity to declare war on Russia? We are fighting IS in Iraq and trying to hold up our borders.....this would be HUGE

This is exactly how I feel. I just hope they listen and not think we're saying 'I told you so' and boasting. But the way things are going now, many people could be very afraid and may cling to us for hope and guidance. For ourselves, we are so blessed to have so many like minded people here on MOG.

This is also very much the sense I had when reading Fr Adam Skwarczynski's book 'Z Aniolem do Nowego Swiata', which although as he admits is partly an imagined literary account of life in a small Polish village in the future, is also substantially based on his own visions. Fr Adam's post-convulsion Church is very interesting: firmly Catholic as regards doctrine and sacrament, centred on the Eucharistic Presence, but at the same time including of all that is best in the other Christian traditions: the village's church for example has an iconostasis, while the Parish organization is reminiscent of the lay-driven practical arrangements of non-conformist Protestantism ... and in Fr Adam's vol. 2, 'Wejdz do Radosci', clerics are addressed as 'Brother' rather than 'Father'. The Vatican in his account, by the way, is reduced to a few rooms after a huge earthquake hits Rome as well as most of the world's major cities, with the Pope living very humbly. Vision, fiction or a bit of both?

My problem is that I know me, and I know I am soooo going to have to resist the urge to say 'I told you so'.
I could be the first casualty of a bolt of lightening from heaven!
    Lord make me humble.

I can't remember where I read it, I hope I didn't dream it so I leave myself open to correction here: But I'm certain Ive read somewhere that Russia have said the invasion of Libya by the west was like the invasion of Czechoslovakia - Russia didn't like it but were prepared to let it go. However the invasion of Syria by the west would be to Russia what the invasion of Poland was to Europe; unacceptable and would be meet with a response.

Lifesong, I feel we need to explain it to them now, to the best we can, because allot of suffering and death will occur long before the Warning takes place and they will need to be prepared for this.

Lifesong, here is what our Lords message to Verene Dagenais said about the Protestant Churches after the Warning.

11/06/07 "After the warning, there will only be one church. All Protestant denominations will have no reason to exist. For all Protestants will see the truth in my Catholic Church. Those Protestants who in their pride reject my truth, will become apostate and persecute my true Catholics. Many Protestants will enter my church because of the warning. My son, the largest number of converts will come from the pagan religions. Many Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and tribal peoples will accept my mercy and truth because of the warning. My church will experience a large amount of growth in those areas. I will need my faithful to teach these converts. Many miracles will take place at this time.Bilocation and other miracles assisted by my angels will occur. My faithful may be teaching in different areas of the world. After the warning, there will only be a short time given to mankind to repent. If no repentance is done, I will allow Satan and the antichrist to chastise a sinful generation. At this time, many faithful will be: called home, persecuted, martyred, and taken to my refuges. Only those who are not spiritual babies with my divine life residing in their souls will endure those days and enter my era of peace. My son, at baptism all my children receive sanctifying grace, but many do not progress beyond spiritual infancy. I will not lose any the Father has given to me. My spiritual babies will come home to be with me to prevent the loss of their souls. After the warning, many souls will need instruction. Many of these souls will be spiritual babies and will be taken home, after the warning". http://www.scribd.com/doc/22505473/God-Speaks-Will-You-Listen

Indy, we must realize that we can only plan seeds of truth. The Holy Spirit will water the seed and make it grow. I use to think, unconsciously, that I did both and then wondered how come certain family memebers or friends did not adhere to the seed I planted. A lesson in humilty it took for me to realize it was not about me to convert, I am only a sower of seed. Teach your family and friends and let God do the rest.

Funny we really never know when those prayers or our words guided by the Holy Spirit affect people. It might be immediate but usually it can take months or years. But one never knows when those little seeds begin to grow. But at least we know they are planted.

I don't like to get mixed up in politics but I think this gentleman is right. My impression of President Obama is he is only really interested in Domestic Politics and is totally lost in Foreign stuff, that he wants to bury his head in the sand and just wish it all away. In a way I sympathise.

I wonder if Fr Adam's book is available in English? Oh how I would love to read it. He reminds me so much of my old Spiritual Director, Fr Bernard.

I would also like to have read and followed the attacks against him by his Polish critics. As far as I can tell from what Fr Adam himself says they seem predictable, that he is basically a nut.

I don't think so at all. Quite the reverse . Perhaps someone somewhere will translate, but there is so very, very little time left.

But I will watch the video again at the week end.

I don't think the books have been translated into English as yet (the first is more international in application; I'd gladly do this myself were it not for time constraints... I will however attempt to summarize the main points or translate short passages as and when I can).
