You know Miker as a guy in the industry I could go on and on about how the future looks bright as corporate profits and expectations are on the rise and how inflation is low and GDP is rising and the market on an earnings (PE) basis is cheap historically at 17x forward earnings vs 19 as the avg over the past 25 years etc etc but the reality is that it is all smoke and mirrors. Those things I mentioned are true but how can they matter when the US economy sits as one of the worst in the world as far debt levels and current account deficits etc. Sure you can say that it doesn't matter when the US owns a printing press to issue treasuries and then print their own money to buy them as well as the fact that US is the last game in town as far as how the world thinks in finances. When there is panic in the stock markets of the world they all buy US bonds and dollars which makes no economic sense given the US is house of cards sitting in sand on a windy day, but that is what happens. Yes I agree this bubble can only stay afloat so long and then it must fall but sadly it will take global disaster to make the whole house of cards fall and that is where I think we are headed. It is all phony and propped up but what do you do? Go to cash? Bonds? gold? what is the point, when it all collapses it will all be worthless except the gold but the moment you try to barter or trade with your gold you just put a bullseye on your back. Play the game while it is here to be played then leave it in the hands of God.

I don't follow and have looked around often and don't see much prayer. I feel like the scene in the train station with Gabriall Bossi and the Lord in France when she was praying and the Lord gave her great thanks and told her she was the only one praying and talking to the Lord in that entire busy train station. I hope you are right but I think of that often and always make sure to be talking with the Lord especially when I am in a crowd of so many souls so that I know at least one person is giving him glory, praise and love but I am also asking Him to poke another on the shoulder so there will be at least 2! Just two days ago I was in a meeting with a client and her entire team: attorney, CPA, advisors, trusted son, etc. This is a Jewish family with so much wealth and I think she is a wonderful treasure of a woman and yet after 90 years she stand so strong on her politics and liberal beliefs and has funded planned parenthood for many many years. It always saddens my heart. In the middle of this meeting after hearing a story of what I can't remember, I just felt the urge to call out to Our Mother and prayed the Hail Mary. I got to thinking that this was probably the first time ever, Our Mother was thought of in this home and hopefully that little prayer helped bring Our Mother into everyone's heart.
Andy, I see you're in the business. Against my broker's advice, I went all cash last Friday. He tried his hardest to talk me out of it, but I'm pretty sure the Storm is a coming to the market as well and at least it was "something" material I could do while also preparing spiritually. Now what to buy with those dollars. Seed for sure. Not sure what else. praying about it daily and waiting to be led to the answer.
I have been buying things for years and personally went to cash and US short term bonds (the dollar and the US bond are the last game in town before global collapse in the paper assets category) back in April but at the end of they day it does not matter. Use some cash for stuff needed now if inspired to but at the same time I feel that with full trust in God then the stuff does not matter unless we are to provide for others with it. Yep, totally agree and that's what I told my wife and thankfully neither she nor I look at money as anything more than a necessary evil to provide for our family. I told her I don't think we'll ever get to use most of that cash, but at least it's liquidated and we now can start to react quickly if and when . . .
Greed and necessity from the US government to operate. The US like any country needs cash to operate daily budgets. They usually sell Treasury Bonds promising interest to the holder of the bond to get the cash needed. In the past few years foreign governments have not wanted to buy US bonds since the rates were so low and out national debt level was so high. So what the Federal Reserve has done is print new dollars putting new cash in circulation and using that cash to buy their new bonds they are issuing. It is economic long term suicide because it is supposes to devalue your currency, but when you are the US and the dollar is the world reserve currency you can get away with this. There are of course very simple solutions to this problem and that would be to lower government and stop wasting so much money as we do. That is probably enough of economics for now. At the end of the day the US is broke and the world knows it. We are a house of cards built on sand with a storm out at sea working towards shore. Since China used to be a large buyer of our debt they pretty much own the US and in the past few years they don't want our worthless paper in bonds and instead have been buying or owning and operating our infrastructure, ports, land, etc.

You are right: all signs point to this being the end of the age. All around us, evil is coming to full measure. As for the warning, who knows? Regardless, the end of our personal age is coming for sure. The death rate is one each. The chastisement is here. God never changes, and He has a long history of allowing people to reap what they sow. With our collective pride, worship of false idols, and slaughter of the innocents, we have sown the wind and are now reaping the whirlwind. Strap in tight, in the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
