You know if things do turn bad and the forum does go down a while, I would not worry to much, I believe it is heavens intention from the beginning for it to help folks after the Warning ,so it should be here at least off and on untill then.

Padraig if the board goes down temporarily I hope it wasn't because I pushed the wrong button. Happy to help out.

Really Glenn. A German/Irish Catholic from the south is virtually unheard of right.

I must first say I don't know Andy besides his posts on the forum and the scapulars he so graciously sent me- but I had a dream about you and your new role last night/ you and another new moderator began your work for the forum and from your words and help the forum exploded! (Not literally :) ) I saw hundreds of flowers blooming and opening due to you and the new moderator and I knew it represented uncountable new members coming to the forum and being inspired and changed
So,there you go for what it's worth. No pressure Andy!

thanks for the pressure. I think this place has exploded already since I joined last September as member number 666 (YUCK!!!) ha ha. It is up to God and Mary to let this place explode and of course the wonderful work Padraig does and the contribution of every member here. I am happy to do whatever but I have always felt this place is Mary's family room (I know others refer to it as the living room but to me the living room has always been the room I could never go into as a kid so I prefer the family room ha ha) so it needs to be a place where as a family we all hang out and really love one another despite the differences we may have in our discussions our love for one another and for Our Lord and Mother has to be first and foremost.

Its OK by me...but you got to share some of that good ole Kentucky bourbon (y)...how bout one shot...repeat one shot only of the "kicking chicken"...better known as Wild Turkey 101.:X3: That'll grease your gears!

I followed a link to a Catholic forum the other day, quite a big forum and they were using foul language to each other and being really abusive.

You know it is a real tribute to the people on the forum how really respectful (I have never ,ever read foul language) kind and open and often loving to each other people are on the forum here. A sure sign of the presence of the Holy Spirit and the Mother of God.

In fact a noticed a few posts were people commenting how they felt they had to behave well here and hush down a little as they felt they were on , 'Holy Ground'. Again a wonderful tribute to people here and an affirmation that the Mother of God and her holy angels are really and truly present.

I think Charity put her finger on and has prophetic insight in her post. For now, it is true moderators will have little to do but soon it will not be so. With so many folks coming I am afraid there is bound to be a need of a Sheriff or two. So I am glad Mary sent Andy along.

Deal on the bourbon. I am quite knowledgeable about the brown liquor. Love a nice bourbon on the rocks from time to time. My favorite affordable is Bullit Bourbon 10 year. It is hard to find outside KY but if you do it is a must buy. Very smooth and full of flavor! Runs in the $40 a bottle range in KY. Bullet in the orange label is great too. My favorite more expensive one is Elijah Craig 22 yr. very rare and fantastic.

Alright, whiskey boy -Feel free to drink in moderation, but for heaven's sake, don't drink and moderate the forum!!! The last thing we need is an immoderate moderator.;)

It is a rare treat for me and not to get drunk but I enjoy the flavor and warmth. What I like about drinking bourbon on the rocks is that it takes about 45 minutes or more to complete the drink. It starts strong and then the ice begins to melt and it gets better and better. Bourbon is more of a fall winter thing for me. I will never take the keys of our Mothers car and drive!! Many are wine people and I am not one. My expertise comes in Bourbons. It is a Kentucky thing ha ha.
