June 18, 2014 - Joey Lomangino has passed away.

I see Padraig that other people continue to speak about Joey's eyes and the prophecy. Was it only me who was not allowed to speak about this ? Sorry, I just try to understand the logic here.

 

I believe in due course the Church will recognise the sanctity of Joey Lomangino, the blind apostle of Garabandal and friend of Padre Pio - now a mystical friend to all of us on this forum. I feel Joey close to me though I never met him, indeed I dreamt about him last night and saw him receive a beautiful embrace from our Lady, a truly moving sight.

Sorry my friend, I deleted your other comment.The Lomangino family asked me to keep the funeral arrangements private. He has a very large family and countless friends who would like to attend,but won't be able to if all know about it. The Wake last night overfilled the funeral home, so they are looking to avoid the same problem at the church.

 

Yeh Gelnn! The thing about St. Faustina is real!!

Don't forghet to remebar this thing to those who don't believe in Garabandal due to the death of Joey Lomangino



And, dear Glenn, if you could ask -if you can- to Conchita to say something to support all the people that sill strongly believe in Garabandal I will be very very happy!!!

 

I see Conchita monthly, and she remembers all supporters and my apostolate work in her prayers.

 

Let us remember that now Joey can do more for Garabandal than he ever could here on earth. He has not forgotten and has full knowledge of God, Mary, etc. His faithfulness and prayer for Garabandal did not end with his death but really begins now!

Today’s reading at mass: Mark 10:46-52

Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”
So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

WOW , how fitting a reading for today ! Joey had better vision than most of us, for he saw through “spiritual eyes “, having to put his total faith in God in all things he did, regardless of how impossible it may have sounded to him. Imagine starting this worldwide apostolate by walking door to door with a photo album ,with brail captions ?
Who here would have the courage, or faith to do that ? Not me ,lol. But he did.


John 20:29 “ blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”

I once asked Joey, “ what was your greatest blessing in life ? “ ( thinking to myself
well maybe it’s meeting Padre Pio, Conchita, the messages of Garabandal, his family ).
He said “ my blindness “. Alittle dumbfounded I said “ why ? “ “Because if I had never been blinded , I never would have probably been saved” . He taught me one lesson after another. He sees through “spiritual eyes”, I forgot. Your soul and its final destination , that should be our focus and aim in life. Thank you Joey !

I want to leave you with this last thought. Just like at the wake , amidst my tears as the Joey’s casket rolled past me for the very last time, a smile then came to my face.
I remembered what the priest said to end his homily. He reminded us that when a blind Bartimaeus (now healed ) opened his eyes, the first person he saw was Jesus, and now too, the first person Joey saw ,when he opened his “new eyes” , was Jesus !

 

she told me that the voice you heard was hers and that you shall see on the very day of the Miracle.

Since this was the direct quote given to Joey by Conchita directly after she asked the Blessed Mother about him, with no embellishments or any other statement about getting physical eyes, instead of making the limited human assumption that for him "to see" on this earth he would obviously need eyes, one could just as easily (if leaving aside human hope alone) have assumed that "naturally" he would have to physically die in order to see and logically that would then have to happen BEFORE the day of the miracle for him to get his sight back in heaven since what is lacking is completed perfectly there. God always speaks with a greater meaning than our limited expectations....thank God!

There is also the tie in with his question about whether the voice that he had heard being the Blessed Mother's in truth which also he would realize or "see" as having been necessarily true when all that had to do with Joey and this special mission from heaven would be completely clarified on the day of the Miracle and he would "see" just why and how he was chosen and how everything fit together.

 

Eternal Rest grant onto Joey's Soul O Lord and May Thy Perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in Peace Amen!

It never fails to amaze me how ignorant we are in general of the basics of Our Holy Catholic Faith!

The fact that Joey or anyone else has passed on without the apparent fulfilment of his personal message
does not and could not ever constitute proof for or against an apparition.
The only thing that can prove or constitute proof for some supernatural happenings is that it contains nothing against Faith Nor Morals taught by the Magisterium of the Church for centuries!
There is absolutely nothing in the messages of Garabandal that were given between 1961 & 1965 that go against the Magistirium of the Catholic Church.
Garabandal is nothing more nor less that a wakening up call to humanity to return to Prayer, penance and holiness of life before it is too late, confirming what we already know from many prophecies down through the centuries, of a warning, chastisements in which 3/4 of humanity will perish, the great Miracle, the return of the greater part of humanity to God and His One True Church, the ensuing Reign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as promised in Fatima for a time,the second general apostasy, the Reign of the Antichrist and finally the overcoming of the Antichrist and the second coming along with the Last Judgement after which will come about the Messianic Kingdom of a 100 thousand years as foretold by St. John in the Apocalypse!

All personal messages and prophecies are by their very nature subject to the persons personal correspondence to grace, to teach other wise would be heretical as it would be conferring some kind of infallibility or automatic confirmation in grace to a human being which not even the Pope enjoys except when he declares a Dogma of Faith on Faith or Morals and at no other time in his human existence!

The fact that the seers of Garabandal denied the apparitions as Our Blessed Mother foretold would happen does not and cannot invalidate the apparitions in themselves, it only serves to show how fallible and week we human beings are especially when we are subject to pressure from all sides.

All posterior opinions or interpretation of the messages are nothing more nor less that personal human and falible opinions which have no weight whatsoever in validating or invalidating the original messages given by Our Blessed Mother in Garabandal!
The main message here is Prayer, Penance and Holiness of life so lets get back on track and fulfil the Holy Will of God in our daily lives!
May Our blessed Mother grant us all the grace to live and die in Her Love Amen!

While those who have doubts are to be respectful and hold off any challenge to the prophecies , It appears those who wish to promote excuses have free reign. Perhaps the respect due Joey due to his Faithfulness should also hold to those affirming their position, and the position held by those promoting Garabandal for the last 50 yrs[including Conchita] for a few weeks.
Joey has been waiting for the Warning and his Eyes for 50 yrs and they never came.So keep quiet about what you think maybe the reason.

 

Hi Glenn, it is really sad to learn that Mr. Lomangino has passed away before he had his new eyes as promised.
We believers of Garabandal are waiting for the events as promised by our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Days are difficult, and the faithful ones have waited for so long but without seeing what they deserved to see.
How many days are we still supposed to wait? Could you do us a favour asking Conchita, even she is not allowed to disclose the exact date, but how close we are approximately to the promised events, months or years away?

 

Conchita is not going to reveal any dates. It is the strategy of all modern visionaries (except MDM who is learning slowly) including Medjugorje. The real prophecy will be to reveal the datum of a great event (like the Aviso or Miracle) and await it's occurrence. This is not going to happen ever. With all my respect, I insist, with all my respects: who is going to happen to Garabandal if Conchita would pass away? What justification will be found then to going on beleiving in this apparitions?

 

Obviously if Conchita died there are other prophecies to cover this like 'The way the miracle is announced will be a miracle in itself.'

And like Fr Andreu whose corrupt body will be found incorrupt. Conchita would return 8 days to announce?

 

No - if Conchita died then that would be it. Garabandal would be consigned to history because she could not announce the Miracle date eight days in advance. When she lost her husband recently she stated to Glenn that she had only one mission left in life (to announce the Miracle eight days in advance).
