I think it's important to consider immediate effects of a financial collapse. Over 50% of Americans now dependent on government subsidies. I would guess that in every developed country, when the checks stop coming there will be chaos and panic. We have two generations of people who rely on fast food - they don't know how to feed themselves. I think it's foolish not to have at least 2 weeks worth of provisions, so we're not out trying to gather needful things with a mob. It will be time to stay put and pray without ceasing.
Absolutely Kathy. A very scary time in this country after a collapse. We are only 3-6 meals away from total anarchy. Trust in God and His Mother will be the most important thing to do but it will be hard to do.
I struggle with the fact that I have to work but desperately yearn to be free from debt i.e. our mortgage. I so want to get back to the life I used to live, a life of prayer and being able to get to daily mass. But I am on this tread mill, working, working, tirelessly working [tirelessly is definately a fib]. By my calulations our mortgage will not be paid for at least another 4 to 5 years and thats if I continue at this crazy pace. What happens after a global financial crash, with a persons mortgage? Do the banks just come and take your home and land? I realise after a crash of that nature, homes won't be worth much and no one will have the finance to pay for a house anyway. This would be so very hard. For so many. Lord have mercy Christ have mercy Lord have mercy. Mary mother of Jesus, be a mother to your poor banished children, now. St Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart, pray for us. Divine Mercy, repose of hearts, peace amidst fear, I trust in You. The words of Our Lord are ringing in my ears Have no fear, for I will not abandon you. You are precious to me
josephite, I believe that Jesus wants us to take a path of responsibility, each and everyday. Sometimes the heavy load this demands is very difficult. But if you place your situation in Mary's hand and let go of the future, then you are right- Have no fear, for I will not abandon you. You are precious to me! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
I am a believer in Father Malachi Martin, at least what he said in reference to the material colapse and the spiritaul colapse (or loss of faith by nearly all Christians) and the fact that "Russia controls the timetable and is the ratchet" to all that will take place. As far as money goes, I believe whatever you have in the bank will be very hard to get out at some point. Forget social security, 401K or retirement pentions.....I don't believe any of them will be there for us in the very near future. Put yourself back in your grandparents day and prepare how to surrvive. If you can, get a small acreage. Go to www.bisonpumps.com and get a good well pump, as water will be one of our greatest assets. I no longer think years away, I believe we are now weeks or months away now. If looking for a safe place to purchase silver/gold (even small amounts) go to www.bulliondirect.com . Silver is still a good buy and it could well double and tripple its price when the great tribualtion begins.
I too have thought about those who have a mortage during this period. At least in the US, 80% are in the same boat and do not own their home (mortgages and renting). So with our government colapse it will be hard for anything to function...even banks or loan companies who will be hit the hardest. Our Lady is in control of those under her mantle, so I have no where else I would rather be. If you are supposed to witness and live the faith in your current area, then you will. If our Lady calls your to a refuge, then so be it. I am not going to worry to much about what I cannot control, but what I can control and that is my prayer life and trusting in Divine providence.....whether it is to live or to die. Seriously, there is not a one of us with all of our contingencies in place that will not have our plans changed by God. Be prepared to be led by God grace during this period and as JPII said so often, "Do not be Afraid".
Our lady has said, in at least one prophecy, to have 6 months worth of provisions. Two weeks won't get you much with all the panic coming.
Think this article and youtube clip as some merit in the money world. http://usawatchdog.com/u-s-gold-holdings-close-to-zero-rob-kirby/
For those like me in close proximity to a large urban city, the issue that comes to mind is you can plan and secure the provisions needed, but what happens when the anarchy spreads to the suburbs? I'm not a violent person, but a fundamental and ethical question comes into play- how do you protect your family and how far are you willing to go? It's a question I've been pondering and I agree that with tine running short, I need to prepare an answer to that internal question.
I don't know that there is a good answer to this situation. I think it is prudent to do what you can to protect your family, but at the same time I do not want to think that we have to be overly agressive about it. Pray and prepare best you can is my motto.
Dont stress to much over these things . Even if I had a shed full of supplies I would give it away anyhow. I have seen no approved prophecy telling people to store food and water . I do know of people who have done it [since the 70s] . What a joke. 25Therefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat: and the body more than the raiment? 26Behold the birds of the air, for they neither sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns: and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not you of much more value than they? I must say that in New Zealand with our access to fish and meat , Im in a good place. 4 million people , 40 million sheep
Since I've been tricked by Jesus into spending hours a day quilting and praying (2 quilts down, one to go!), I've had many good conversations with Him. I am currently in training to learn the following 3 things: 1. Stay put! I don't go out without three good reasons, except to work. 2. Don't fret. Jesus tells me that when His people fret and worry, it insults Him. 3. Pray without ceasing. The rosary has never been more important. We can't give our Mother too many of them right now. I get the sense that those who are consecrated to the Blessed Mother will be safe in the ark. We will be cared for just as the chosen people were during the exodus. We have a very big God who is perfectly capable of protecting us. He can multiply our provisions, surround us with angels, and blind the enemy to us and our families. Nothing will happen to us outside of God's will, as long as we stay in it. I asked one time in prayer why so many Saints died caring for plague victims. The answer was that many of them ran ahead of the will of God. A sobering thought. (I have a long history of running ahead of Jesus, but He's almost broken me of it!) We need to get quiet enough, and spend time enough with Jesus to learn His voice, the whisper of inspiration. During the tribulation, it will be crucial not to take one step without consulting the Lord.
That answer you recieved from the Lord reminds me of what Padre Pio said. It goes something like this; 'Love and prudence are sister virtues. Love has legs to run and prudence has eyes to see. They must walk together arm in arm least you stumble'
This is going to happen for sure, all currencies will go belly up, but when I have no idea. Don't forget that corrupt forces also want this because they want to push through a world currency system that will be administered by a central international agency, which will in turn continue the push to a world government which is their overall aim. I think the best answer to this might be if you have money in a bank to consider buying real tangible goods with it now rather than rely on it being there always going forward. Meaning if you were a dressmaker you could buy up a load of cloth with it that you could use in future etc, just real things that will always hold their value, somewhat anyway? Like the way they used to trade in cigarettes after WWII.
So true. I must remember that during the Troubles, there may be many who come to my door looking for food, etc. Even if I have a six month supply, it may be drained very fast. As Kathy says we must pray fervently because the loving, specific response to the Will of God may be different for each one of us: 1Kings 17:8 Then the word of the LORD came to him, 9 "Arise, go to Zar'ephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you." 10 So he arose and went to Zar'ephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks; and he called to her and said, "Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink." 11 And as she was going to bring it, he called to her and said, "Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand." 12 And she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of meal in a jar, and a little oil in a cruse; and now, I am gathering a couple of sticks, that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die." 13 And Eli'jah said to her, "Fear not; go and do as you have said; but first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the LORD the God of Israel, `The jar of meal shall not be spent, and the cruse of oil shall not fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.'" 15 And she went and did as Eli'jah said; and she, and he, and her household ate for many days. 16 The jar of meal was not spent, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD which he spoke by Eli'jah.
I think of Elijah and that widow often; their story gives me great hope. God never changes; what He did in the past, He can do again. I also believe that He has new graces reserved just for this time. The Will of God absolutely will be different for each one of us. That's why it's so important for each of us to seek the Lord for direction. Even though we can be inspired by each other, our paths in this time will unique.
I don't think I don't think there is any possible way that all those in the Body of Christ, or all those consecrated to the Blessed Mother, will be preserved from material suffering, or even death/martyrdom in the time leading to the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart. I believe it is even stated in the prophecies that "the good will also die", and that New Pentecost outpourings of the Holy Spirit on this scale (e.g. Warning & Miracle) must be paid for in blood and suffering..... Trusting in His Will then, also means being open to the above.
I, too, have heard that quote but cannot remember where it originated from. Six months is a good target to strive for in terms of supplies, regardless. Regarding finances during a collapse, I don't think there is really much one can do or prepare for. Have some gold/silver on hand. Cash might be worthless and financial institutions will be in disarray. Its the transportation networks that might be disrupted therefore food supplies will run short.
THANK YOU ALL...thank you for such words of wisdom! Kathy K...your words are a balm...an ointment for my wounds. You remind me of my own dearly loved and dearly missed grandmother. Yes...towards the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 the US dollar will suffer a devaluation and then another some months latter. People will finally awaken to the weakening fall of the petro dollar. The satanic globalist have decided to "speed up" the collapse due to the recent European "rise of the right"...after all...they are enemies of nationalism/culture and race. They want us all one gray dull blob they can control at whim. I make no light of it...I dread the coming days...as pronouncements by the prophets speak of untold suffering. I only add that a well loved priest used to say at every Mass. " God let us know your will...(pause and then with emphasis)... and give us the courage to do it". I pray for courage for us all.
