Thank you for your insight. Clarification please...do you think it is coming from me?:( I appreciate honesty for without it one cannot change that which is wrong.

That's a question you can only answer, with the grace of God, yourself.

I find in my own life, if I have a problem its best I search my own heart and actions first. This is why Jesus said,

    Matthew 5:5

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Thank you. I have recently been praying more than usual and visiting the Blessed Sacrament. Trying very hard to be loving and understanding, but the more I do, the more are the indignities that are hurled at me. I am a sinner who is trying ever earnestly to follow the Right Path. Thanking you for input.

When the enemy can't trip you up directly, he uses others, especially those who are not in a state of grace, to do so. When things don't make sense, I suspect the enemy.

I also suffer persecution from my family. Some of them openly mock my faith. Others seem to hold resentment and contempt for me for no reason that I can determine. I am certainly not perfect, but it just doesn't make sense. I've been taking care of their invalid mother for 12 years!

One particular in law repeatedly accuses me of judging her. I've searched my heart, and just don't find it. In fact, I recognize that without the grace of God I'd be in worse shape than her. I think that the presence of God in me is what convicts her.

Kathy, thank you. I see it that way, but I posted it so that others would provide their viewpoint.
We all must bear our crosses. Your quote from St. Theresa is one I learned long long ago andhas proven a source of consolation over and over again.

Things sent to trip us up can be the rungs that help us to climb to heaven. Everything, even the bad is gift.

Quite true. I am at peace. Lonely, but at peace. It is difficult to face each day without the love of family, but, there is a reason.

Ellabell, I will pray for you that you will find peace in the family challenges. We all have them at some level. We must turn to Mary our Mother, who knows all our sufferings and can bring peace of heart. We must learnt this great secret now, because what is coming is far worse. She is our refuge our hope and protector.

Yes, she is and thank you!

I wonder if these times we are experiencing have been felt and seen before or are we indeed preparing for the Chastisement. I believe we are.

I, also, feel an urgency. Found myself buying a beeswax candle yesterday and asking our priest, after Mass to bless it.

I have found that closing my eyes and picturing the Divine Mercy painting while silently saying "Jesus I trust in Three" over and over. It really works at driving away temptation. The picture seems to come alive while I keep saying the words and then I get caught up in Jesus for some reason.

Ellabell - I have that problem too with my family. It was terrible for a time but now every day I say "I consecrate myself and my family to the mercy of God". I cannot explain how much that has helped me over the years. Standing by and watching as your family falls away from God, the Church and any path that leads them to God was the hardest thing I endured so far. Right and wrong just does not register with them but I just keep saying that Prayer and consecrating all of us to God's mercy. Over the years it has been the greatest help I have had.
