Civil War in the Ukraine?

Well, the church attendance rates are stunningly high in the parts of Ukraine that are Ukrainian Catholic - the most religious area. The US Conference of Bishops was amazed when the leader of the Ukrainian Catholic Church Sviatoslav explained to them recently that the average age of Ukrainian Catholic priests is 35 and many applicants to seminaries can't be taken in.

President Yanukovych, the one using forces of the state to repress the pro-democracy protestors, belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church's branch in Ukraine which he uses for his own political motives. So many Ukrainian Orthodox have had enough with the Russian Orthodox Church's politics in Ukraine that millions of them simply have formed a separate as of yet non-canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kyivan Patriarchate) which is to serve the people and Christ, not the Kremlin. This Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv probably stands even in membership with the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine. Moscow refuses to let Ukraine's Orthodox have their own autocephalous church, even though Ukraine is the world's second largest Orthodox country and religosity is higher in Ukraine than in Russia. The Kremlin both politically and religiously wants to still control Ukraine.

The Russian Orthodox Church (in the person of Metropolitan Hilarion) still to this day claims Stalin's liquidation of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in 1946 was correct, notwithstanding the Soviet secret police torturing, murdering and imprisoning thousands of Ukrainian Catholics.

"flook The EU" - US State Department Blasts Europe; Revealed As Alleged Mastermind Behind Ukraine Unrest
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/06/2014 - 12:47
    [IMG]
A leaked recording of a telephone conversation allegedly between US assistant secretary of state Victoria Nuland and the US envoy to the Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt discussing who should be in Ukraine's next government has, according to The FT, threatened to fuel east-west tensions over the troubled nation's future. In apparent frustration with the EU – which has failed to join the US in threatening sanctions against Ukraine’s leaders if they violently crush the protests – the voice resembling Ms Nuland at one point exclaims "flook the EU". As the two US diplomats decide whether "Klitsch" or "Yats" should be 'in' or 'out', listeners will be reminded (uncomfortably) that the governments of Ukraine and Russia previously alleged that the protests are being funded and orchestrated by the US.

Praying for the Christians in Ukraine as well as in Bosnia. Civil unrest is spreading like a plague. I wonder when the first secret of medjugorje will be revealed....with everything going on I think it might be soon.

I like the puppy that is trembling, under your name...:)

I just wonder if this all will not mean one day that the anti-Christ will come crying out: "Peace, Peace !! I will bring Peace and Comfort to all of you !! Just follow me....." and most people will follow him......

  6. Isn't that what the U.N. is doing???

[IMG]It certainly looks as though the Ukraine has fallen outright into Civil War. Both the USA, the European Union and the USA seem to be getting more and more sucked in, this despite the fact that previously , *expert* anaylists said this would never happen as this is Russia's front garden.

One of the most heart stopping things recently is that army and police conscripts have gone over to the pro Western Forces who now themselves seem to be heavily armed. Also heart stopping is the major intervention of the Catholic Church in what appears now to be outright war.

Pro-Russian Government Special Forces (Spetnez) and police beating and killing protestors today.

    Shocking, shocking video.

This is a very great sign. This is the beginning of the events that will eventually lead to a Russian invasion of Europe setting the scene for the warning of Garabandal (the warning may be but a few years away'. )

    A terrible situation.

Though, Im perplexed and worried at the west's governments and media calling the groups 'protesters'.
Protesters hold signs and march, stage sit in's etc.
Here, we have a group of people arming themselves, burning down parts of the city, throwing rocks and firecrackers at the police, even taking 60 police hostage.
Thats crossed a line from protesting.
I was amazed at Obama critizing the Ukrainian gov. hard line on 'peaceful protesters'.
Im not taking sides, but there are worring parallels in Ukraine and Syria about violent opposition, and sometimes as in the case of Syria - extreamist opposition, being called protesters because it suits.

Lets be clear, Protesters they aint.

I admit I find it not to feel angry at the moment looking at some of these pictures.

High powered snipers being used to target the head, neck and chest of the 'protesters' is appalling. A government treating its own people like that is terrible.
Im privately very worried about where this is going.
Especially as russia seems to be getting tough. God help us.
Im thinking of Padraigs ukraine dream all day.

Gog and Magog come at the end of the world, not at the end of this era.
