(From the Friends of the Suffering Souls 6/12/2013) Feast of the Immaculate Conception December 8th Our Lady said as follows: "It is my wish that every year, on 8th December, at noon, the HOUR OF GRACE FOR THE WORLD be celebrated. Many divine and bodily graces will be received through this devotion. Our Lord, my Divine Son Jesus, will send His overflowing mercy if good people will pray continuously for their sinful brother.... it is my wish that the HOUR OF GRACE FOR THE WORLD be made known and spread throughout the world. If anyone is unable to visit his church, yet will pray at home, he will also receive graces through me.... will find a secure heavenly ladder and receive protection and grace through my motherly heart." Our Lady promised she will hear any prayer we make at this time (noon to 1 pm). THE REQUEST OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER FOR THE HOUR OF GRACE: Day and time of the Hour of Grace: December 8th, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, to be started at 12:00 noon and continuing until 1:00 p.m. for one full hour of prayer. During this hour, the person making the Hour of Grace either at home or at church must put away all distractions (do not answer the telephones, or answer any doors, or do anything but totally concentrate on your union with God during this special Hour of Grace). Begin the Hour of Grace by praying three times the 51st Psalm with out-stretched arms. (Psalm 51 appears below). The rest of the Hour of Grace may be spent in silent communication with God meditating upon the Passion of Jesus, saying the Holy Rosary, praising God in your own way, or by using favorite prayers, singing hymns, meditating upon other psalms, etc. Please copy and distribute this message. Remember to pray for your country during this hour. The Blessed Virgin has requested that her important message be sent throughout the entire world. Please help her Mission: that all souls be drawn to God, and that Jesus will be loved in every heart. This is the perpetual song of her heart. Let it also be yours. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ PSALM 51 Have mercy on on me, God, in your goodness; in your abundant compassion blot out my offence. Wash away all my guilt; from my sin cleanse me. For I know my offence; my sin is always before me. Against you alone have I sinned; I have done such evil in your sight that you are just in your sentence, blameless when you condemn. True, I was born guilty, a sinner, even as my mother conceived me. Still, you insist on sincerity of heart; in my innermost being teach me wisdom. Cleanse me with hyssop, that I may be pure; wash me, make me whiter than snow. Let me hear sounds of joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Turn away your face from my sins; blot out all my guilt. A clean heart create for me, God; renew in me a steadfast spirit. Do not drive me from your presence, nor take from me your holy spirit. Restore my joy in your salvation; sustain in me a willing spirit. I will teach the wicked your ways, that sinners may return to you. Rescue me from death, God, my saving God, that my tongue may praise your healing power. Lord, open my lips; my mouth will proclaim your praise. For you do not desire sacrifice; a burnt offering you would not accept. My sacrifice, God, is a broken spirit; God, do not spurn a broken, humbled heart. Make Zion prosper in your good pleasure; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Then you will be pleased with proper sacrifice, burnt offerings and holocausts; then bullocks will be offered on your altar.
Thank you for the reminder about the Hour of Grace. I might go to a noon Mass Sunday and pray the Psalm (3 times) just before the start of Mass.
I have heard of this hour of grace before, and there was info at the church I adore at. It is from an apparition from the 1940's. Link below has more info: http://catholic-church.org/grace/marian/mystical-rose.htm
There appears to be two versions of the story http://www.marypages.com/MontichiariEng.htm http://catholic-church.org/grace/marian/mystical-rose.htm
is there anything our Blessed Mother doesnot do to make things easy for us. I have never herd ofthis- I will do this on Sunday. It is depressing the Spiritual things I do not know about. How have I gone through life in a so called Catholic country and never heard about this.
Our Lady's little requests with great promises attached seem 'too good to be true' sometimes but consider Naaman in the OT who suffered the most dread disease of his age, leprosy. Naaman took the advice of a little Jewish girl and eventually met the prophet Elisha who told him to go and bathe on the Jordan seven times and that he would be cleansed. Naaman didn't believe that it would work because it sounded too easy and resisted. When he finally did what Elisha said, he was cleansed. Sometimes the remedies of Our Lady for cleansing the soul sound too easy but we should take the advice of the little Jewish girl (Our Lady) and accept Her recommendations for the sake of our souls though they sound too easy, especially to the learned and proud.
This is a good site on Rosa Mystica,..I appears to be a continuation of Fatima . We have always referred to Mary as mystical rose in Our Lady of Lorreto http://rosamystica13.com/Appartions.php This from Spirit Daily claims rejection by the Church, but allows for devotion to the image of the statue?? That seems a little confusing to me as all the messages are not contrary to what Our Lady has been requesting over the years and an extention of the Fatima messages and also as quoted through Elena Aiello Our Lady has her mantle covering the world thus delaying justice. Also there have been many reports of Rosa Mystica weeping tears and blood. http://www.spiritdaily.net/rosabloodfetus.htm
Thank you for this SteveD. I will please God do my 4th First Saturday today and will spend the hour of Grace tomorrow, praying for Ireland and my family myself and all those in the Book. Years ago I corrected someone who said Our Lady was Catholic and pointed out that she was Jewish. Then I read someone that Our Lady said she was the First Christian and thinking about it, realised how right she was.I never forgot that -God founded our Church and we know its first member. What glorious footsteps we follow in.
I suppose you could say that Mary is both Catholic and Jewish. In fact in a kind of way we are Jewish too because of our Faith. I remember Pope Pius x11 once said that the Jews are our spiritual grandparents. We are maybe not apart from Judaism but its flowering. I don't know if any of you have listened to Scott Hahn on many of the Jewish roots to our faith, he is wonderful
