Certainly, the “Synodal Church” is not the Catholic Church. To paraphrase that modern cliche that describes the hostile takeover of institutions by leftists, the ‘sinodal’ church, as I tend to spell it, is wearing the skin-suit of Christ’s Church. An unpleasant, even shocking, image, but not inappropriate.
Life is so passing. In a time of the Great Storm we must not be distracted by the fact that our mission is to get to heaven. If we fail in that we fail in all else. We must not permit the evil actions of others to loose sight of that.
The above grieves me and makes me want to throw up, for it seeks to destroy the very hierarchical nature of the Church. Before you know it we'll get to vote on what should be removed or added to the Catechism! The following expresses my sadness, today, but I know Our Lady's Immaculate Heart will triumph! Bring conversion, O Lord, to the revolutionaries! Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us!
Our poor, poor Mother the Church. Even the saints and angels in heaven must be crying their eyes out. But on the brighter side , evil has come right out in the open. People are waking up.
One thing I notice about Utopian movements like Socialism is that they have this wonder Utopian Dream of how they will solve everything and make everything alright. But when we come to leaders of Socialist parties again and again endlessly for corrupt. Being moral and obeying the Law is for the little people. The idea is to do what we say rather than what we ourselves do. We saw this during Covid for instance when those organising the big lockdown and face masks were caught again and again disobeying the rules themselves. Being obedient was for little people. It seems to me that what the Church is meant for is to get people to heaven. Not to try to organise a heaven on Earth. Since we are all sinners this is impossible. But like Socialists of Freemason or Woke or whatever I would expect as a matter of course for their to be immense corruption at the top. I think the reason why the Vatican is striving to make a Utopia is that they no longer believe in God. Not really. Or if they thing He does exist He does so in a way that does not effect we mortals down here.
I think too with the Vatican that they discount the central importance of the Cross. Jesus said that we must pick up our Cross and follow Him. This life is very, very passing but while we live on this Earth as Christians we must hang upon His Cross and so obtain the resurrection with Him. If we deny Christ we still suffer , this is unavoidable in this Fallen World. It is just that our sufferings are those of Hell and do not produce the Resurrection. The current Church leadership has lost sight of this and think that somehow we can loose the Cross and still obtain Resurrection..at least here on Earth.
8 nations in Latin America turned right after USAID was shut down. The idea the communists had is that if nations could be conditioned culturally they would continue to remain communist. However, everytime the communist machine loses its funding everything goes back to the right. This they cannot account for. I think it is similar in the church. Currently online there are huge debates with huge audiences outside of the hands of church authorities. These debates are being watched by future clerics in the church. We also hear the youth in general are leaning more to tradition. There will always be progressives in the church, but they won't dominate as they do now. This isn't some kind of political battle. It's simply that people are seeking the Truth and are finding it, especially online. They apply the Truth in their lives. Because their lives count on it. So they can attempt to control everything by dictates. But it's gonna fail, the church has been around 2000 years. Many have tried to kill it but all have failed.
Yeah, hardly anyone cares about the synods or their outcomes. We want stories of saints, deep and profound understanding of Scripture, animators who guide us to holiness. People who can inspire us on our journeys towards God. The synods are just discussions centered around progressive politics. Entirely boring and uninspired. Boring to tears.
They are so concerned with our rights and our physical comfort. I wish they spoke of our souls and sin.
Bl. Fulton Sheen said long ago " they want Christ without the Cross--they shouted at Calvary to come off the Cross and they would believe in Him. " Many years ago I was standing at my stove cooking and I had a picture of the Sacred Heart on the wall above and I was asking Him why everyone was receiving charisms all around me and I didn't seem to receive anything. He very distinctly said to me in that inner voice--and said sadly--"How many want My gifts. How few want My Cross." I told Him that day I would accept the crosses in my life gladly for His sake. I have always felt that pull to accept and offer up everything to this day. I dont always do it gracefully or generously. Sometimes I kick against the goad but mostly I do it. A very great unearned grace.
Speaking of remaining beneath the Cross, what should one think when considering Bishop Schneider's increasingly negative reflection on Rome's direction? How far should lowly Catholics express disappointment. After all, a bishop or cardinal I'm not. I will share my personal reaction soon, as I'm still sorting out my tangible angst on this year's Vatican policy direction. Do my opinions matter, and this question is not an attempt to gain sympathy.
I have not watched Bishop Schneider for quite some time; nor Bishop Strickland or so many others either. I must make time to listen again later. I do listen to the Papal Posse and the things they talk about fill me with a real feeling of horror and dismay. The entire Church appears to have fallen into a state of total chaos and outright heresy from high to low. What can we do but pray? It is good to stay in touch with things but..alas there is little we can do but pray. The words of Padre Pio come back to me, 'Pray hope and don't worry'. It is Christ's Church, His Bride, and no doubt He is taking care of things in His own way. Honestly when I hear of current events it almost physically hurts. It is just totally horrendous.
The fundamental Gospel message is: "Repent and believe the Good News" as embodied in the person and life of Christ, which has been taken up by His Church in the centuries that have followed. Its lived experience is a life of charity and obedience in conformity to the Gospel and the teachings of the Catholic Church guided by the Holy Spirit through the centuries. There have been rough patches, certainly. In every century, the Church has cautioned its children to remain obedient to the Deposit of Faith, especially when societal "progress" has promoted laws and philosophies antithetical to the Gospel. Slavery, materialism, and abortion are examples. Though the Church has always struggled in conforming itself to its inherent mission in her social context, today I see compromise in the realm of morals (1.e. homosexual deviancy), idolatry relative to false religions, and liturgical compromise. And these shifts have clouded her once clear catechesis. Bishop Schneider believes the Holy Spirit is convicting him to speak out forcefully on these compromises without choosing a path of separation. Some faithful clergy urge caution while the rebels within the hierarchy resent the exposure and push back! True spiritual warfare. What can I do: pray and live a life of more penance! (still working on the latter)
I respect Bishop Schneider very much and I am relieved to hear him stick up for our Church. They are going to put Jesus in a box with other Religions and He will be diminished.to a prophet. The signs are so clear even though I avoid reading or watching videos, I still catch a news story about the Church which makes me ill. Now is the time for our brave Priests and Bishops to stand up for our Church. A nun, appointed by The Pope yesterday said that Jesus was flirting with the Samaritan woman... how is this ok.?? Soon we must choose sides. May God hold us close.
I remember one Saint said that the very worst Chastisement that God could inflict on the World is that the Church should turn Apostate. They say Padre Pio fell over in a dead faint of horror when he was shown this.
It may be very selfish of me but at the end of the day we all make our own choices. The basic one is to choose either to go to heaven or to go to hell. No one can force us to go to hell. If these dreadful people choose to go to hell, well, it is their choice. We must make our own choice is to go to heaven. As St Paul says, what can separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35-39 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a] 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
