Note that his latest comments were last Friday, timed to manipulate the stock market and the fools fell for it yet again, with oil prices falling. Expect a return to bellicosity next week.

I’ve heard of a prophecy, by an Orthodox monk, that Russia takes Constantinople, with an accompanying huge conversion of Muslims. I thought it wishful thinking, but one never knows.

It's part of the same prophecy by St. Paisios. When Russia wins over Turkey in this war, they give Istanbul to Greece, and a third of Turks convert to Christianity. Also, Turkey will be balkanized.

Wow, Pax. I had to look up the word "balkanized." Thanks for your post.

A very appropriate term for the dismemberment of Turkey. The people of the Balkans would not mourn it.

The image has been confirmed as authentic; it does not depict a single individual but rather a coordinated chain of actions . The images were then shared on social media as an act of boasting among soldiers .

Two thousand years have passed, and nothing has changed… Jesus was killed by the Romans, then the most powerful force in the world, on the orders of the Jewish crowd and the priests, because they wanted the creation of a greater Israel. The Roman emperor was considered a god, Rome was seen as invincible, and both sides justified their actions as a higher power given to them by God.

Today, the United States is the most powerful force in the world, Trump is regarded by some as a godlike figure, Israel continues to expand its territory, and both appeal to a higher power. It is striking that 2,000 years later, both sides persecute Christians and reject Christ and act together. The only irony is that the United States is nominally a Christian country, and the president campaigned and promoted himself as a Christian or pro-Christian candidate with such values. It seems that attacks on churches, Catholics, and the pope… the killing of priests by as a greatest ally, and smashing Christ’s head with a hammer all fit perfectly into that policy.

The danger is that many of the people who will grow up not knowing of a time before AI will not be able to discern the ‘slop’ from reality.

This is what it’s really all about. The battle between Christ and those who refuse to accept Him. As you say, nothing has changed in 2000 years.

Yes, this photo and action of Israeli soldier shows that Christ and Christianity is still attacked today, just as He was 2,000 years ago. Maybe I am a pollyanna but I see this as a great opportunity to respond as early Christians- even like Peter, John and apostles did as we read this week during Mass in the Acts of the Apostles. They were cursed, beaten, imprisoned but thet proclaimed Christ even more boldly. This act by this soldier is awful and painful but who knows maybe God allowed it to raise questions among the Jews of today? Maybe its a monent for all of us to witness to Christ like the apostles? Not by screaming at anyone ir condemning but speaking truth. Its an opportunity to say repent and convert! And not just by our words but our actions of not hating. Maybe one of these soldiers and other jews who are watching will say... these Christians walk the talk? Christ was and still is mercy even when we are "crucified ". In many ways it a chance to be a martyr. So yes to say you whi did this are wrong. But more, you are missing an opportunity to be saved. Probably most would still reject but even if one says yes, that woujd be great!

This is nuts, the world has some serious anger issues, amongst many other serious issues, and it is only getting more ridiculous. Imagine hating on the loving God, even if a person doesn't believe it still is absurd.

It ain't only Jews doing this either, it's been going on for a very long time, too long. Atheists, Muslims, Hindus, satanists, governments and God only knows what else attack at every opportunity. Then on top of this we got fighting between Christians. Even the hierarchy of our own church has lost the plot and is eroding everything from within. It's out of control, demons riding people like horses at this point.

We are well on our way to having a serious come to Jesus moment world wide. It's like that parable where the master comes home after a long trip and finds everything out of order. He is gonna start laying a whoopin on servants.

This reminds me that it was the "wise virgins" who had enough oil to light their lamps upon the Masters return. I think in our days we need as our "oil" the Word of God and Eucharist to ensure our "lamps" dont go dark. As Our Lady urges in all her messages... pray, pray, pray!

I posted this video earlier today on another thread - 'Many Are Becoming Catholic'.
While not strictly what the thread title says, it's a very strong conversion story nonetheless. Ron Copperman was raised in a mixed faith home. His mother was Catholic and his father Jewish. He grew up feeling he was Jewish in a largely Christian neighbourhood. After his Bar Mitzvah he decided to explore other 'Paths'. He embraced Buddhism and other more New Age practices. He also took drugs and had some weird experiences. At a festival one day a Christian woman spoke with him and he felt his heart open to Jesus. He seems to still consider himself as Jewish but accepts Jesus (Yeshua) as the Messiah. The channel is called Jews for Jesus and the interviewer seems to have been on a similar journey.

Judaism is a difficult and confusing identity. It depends on how it is defined and there are several ways of doing so. I think E. Michael Jones’ definition is the most accurate-a Jew is someone who rejects Christ. On this basis, Ron or any other ‘Jew for Jesus’ is not Jewish and St John the Evangelist supports this interpretation. Possibly, Ron sees himself as culturally Jewish, perhaps even genetically Jewish, but that’s less fundamental. The crucial question for him would be which he would choose as the most important part of his identity: Christ or his Judaism?

This is the final part of the same discussion where they speak about being 'Jewish' and accepting Jesus.
I don't think either of them were raised as 'Orthodox Jews' and both went through experiencing other 'spiritual' approaches, so perhaps this has had some effect on their viewpoint also.
