We should only ask God to forgive certain sides? We aren't all fallen, sinful human beings in need of God's mercy? I'm not sure I understand.

Is there a perfect good side in this mess?

By the way Trump wanting to nuke other poor people and turn other millions of people men women and children into burnt steak in Iran in support of Israel cannot Complain if people in the USA are turned into burnt steak too. Those who live by the nuke will die by the nuke.

The point you are missing is that Iran was bombed. 169 of it's children obliterated by the purest evil along with its leader with his family and on and on and on.These tyrannical forces want Irans destruction and humiliation.

 

I appreciate the sentiments, which are broadly true. However, a person who threatens a country, whom he unilaterally chose to attack in the middle of apparently successful negotiations, with nuclear, genocidal annihilation and reportedly was on the verge of carrying it out until almost the last moment very likely knows well what he is doing.

I don’t think his refusal to finally go ahead with this grotesque evil was due to any moral epiphany, either. It is being reported that he was stopped by a warning from Putin that Russia would return the serve upon the United States. I think this plausible, because the context of the Ukraine War would conceivably leave Russia as the next target.

 

Saying that everyone is evil is only another way of getting out from under/ True we are all sinners but some more so than others.

My point is that prayer, and not growing hatred for certain sides, is what will save this world from the destruction Satan is trying to unleash. The hatred is being directed at the wrong source. The only thing we should hate is sin, not other people. Those who want war and destruction are deluded, manipulated by Satan, and only God, with the help of our prayers, can stop him. And in the process, we could even save the souls of Netanyahu, Trump, and others who think they're in charge.

Ultimately, only Trump and Netanyahu can save themselves. They must choose to repent. Even God can’t/won’t force them.

However, I think it prudent to pray that they be stopped some way or other, for the sake of the millions, even billions, of lives that they endanger.

I was just praying a chaplet of mercy for peace and Mother Teresa's words came to mind-paraphrasing- The fruit of abortion is nuclear war. I offered the Chaplet of Mercy in atonement for abortions. All I can do now as one person is pray and fast.

 

That's true for everyone. We have to give God the slightest opening for the graces won for us by others' prayers to be able to come rushing in. Trump and Netanyahu's souls are worth our prayers and sacrifices. As well as all the other "evil" leaders of the world. They were innocent children once. God loves them and wants their salvation.

Imagine how different the world would be, how many wars would be avoided, if we truly loved and prayed for our leaders.

I notice from Catholic Prophesy there seems to be two strands to advice from heaven on the Hard Times, the Tribulation that is upon us. On the one hand and this is Scriptural we are promised Divine Protection.

On the other hand we are reminded that life is short and that those who persevere to the End will be saved, That, 'The good will perish alongside the evil.'

These two things seem contradictory, for how can we be protected if many of us are to die? It reminds me that Heavens way of looking at things is not ours. Heavens way of looking at things is from an Eternal Perspective. This reminds me so much of the Early Church after Pentecost when a whole series of terrible Persecutions broke out against the Church. In a way it looked like she was abandoned but in fact in a whole series of terrible defeats she was actually both defended and victorious. Just as with the Cross and Easter.

People are carrying on thinking things are normal and that things are going to be 'normal'. They are in for an enormous, enormous shock.

Trump in his foollishness and arrogance has initiated the pre-tribulation times predicted in Garabandal that precede the warning. The warning will happen when things are at their worst.

PS - those of us who have been on the forum a long time knew that Padraig would be moving to Spain just before the tribulations and I personally took his move as a huge sign. I also wrote my book on the rosary for these times to give to family and friends after the warning as a handbook for quick spiritual growth and I worked hard for a year to get it into publication 2022.

I know things are very,very bad indeed in the Balkans. On the verge of war. No one is talking about it, but this is true.

The World at the moment is like a large room full of people were a few start to actually fight and punch and kick each other. But the fighting spreads and spreads, soon the whole room is in chaos. Fighting everywhere. Anger, rage is like a disease, it spreads and spreads.

 

I recently read a book on some of the very early Fathers, with first-hand descriptions of what some of the early martyrs suffered. No human being could have endured it and they must have received Divine help. It was so terrible that the The Church, in her wisdom, has never rushed to condemn those who might have lacked the courage to go through with it and has also been quick to forgive-a sect that was less forgiving was condemned as heretical, I seem to remember). We owe so much to our brave martyrs. And we still have them.

My point is that God will give us the help to endure and will show the mercy of taking to Himself the many who might lack the means to do so. ‘The living will envy the dead’.
