I think the only way we can make any sense of Epstein and what he was up to as through the lens of a Satanic Hierarchy who control the World. I was listening to three commentators the other day who are totally without Faith, non religious. But even they admitted intense occultic involvement. Especially through the Rothchild family.

Apparently, the 'Star of David' is nowhere mentioned in the Bible. It is a later accretion to Judaism. It has been associated with Saturn worship, from what I've read. Saturn is the Roman god that devoured his children. When the US Supreme Court recently over-turned the Roe-Wade decision, 300 Jewish rabbis publicly objected, on the basis that abortion is a fundamental (presumably religious, given their professional position) right for Jews. Of course, the resemblance between the hexagonal Star of David and the satanic Pentagon is pure coincidence (sarc). Even though one is easily brought to question the origin of the phrase commonly used in witchcraft of 'putting a hex on someone' (I googled it and the results would shock you, and come up so glibly and casually). Google does say that 'hex' in this case comes from the German word for witch, 'hexen'. However, the hexagon has long been the symbol of this evil god and when one reads further in google, it is a prominent symbol in the Jewish Kabbalah and also many posts come up about an astronomical observation of a hexagonal feature on the North Pole of the planet Saturn. All very strange and disturbing. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Well it can be quite complicated. For instance we have different names for the various Satanic groupings. For instance the Illuminati, the committee , the freemasons and so on. But in a nutshell there does appear to a hierarchy that stretches back for centuries and includes some very famous very mega rich families that seems to pretty well run the World.. The best insight for me came from a talk by Father John Hardon who spoke of a very large group of Apostate Group of Apostate Priests who are at the center of Satantic Worship in the USA. We would as a matter of course have other such groups in say the Vatican and other places. Similar groups operate in other places such as the Kabbalistic Black Synagogue , the Jews. But just as the Catholic hierarchy has a top of a ruler(s) so the Satanists of all various strands have a central leadership. My best guess is that Epstein would have been very,very close to this.
The whole edifice of our so called western civilization is now based on deceit and lies - for the father of lies is the 'prince of this world' (John 12:31), he has temporal authority over the current world system and his rebellious spirit is present in every institution - The Epstein files are shining a torch into a very dark tunnel but this is only the tip of a very huge iceberg - darkness has overtaken many of our insitutions - education, medicine, phsychology, law & order, science, politics, and even the Church. The Church has conceded too much to the modern world - too many in the church have been tricked by the lies of the modern world - I have had an awakening of sorts - God has been either opening my eyes or perhaps unveling a curtain letting me see a little through the veil. The Bible is the Word of God and is inerrant. His Word is truth and He is incapable of lying. Genesis is the true word of God. I believe the Bible when God has revealed that he has created it is six days. Adam and Eve are our real parents created from the dust and they fell hard tempted by the satan. Evolution is a lie from Hell. Man has not evolved but actually fallen from a very high state. Christ walked on water, he changed water into wine, he fed the 5000 from 12 loaves and fishes, he calmed the storm, healed the sick, exorcised demons, he rose from the dead - He will come to judge the living and the dead. Let us take God at His word and stop pandering to the so called modern intellectuals who actually know very little. Too many so called Catholic intellectuals and apologists have taken the soup of modernism.
Candace Owens said that the pentagram form of the Star of David came from the ring of Solomon which was used as a royal seal. But that the hexagram was a later accretion. I don't remember ever reading about Solomon's seal in the Old Testament but it could be documented in various Jewish writings. Even though Solomon was renowned for his wisdom and built the Temple, he transgressed 3 basic commandments given by the Lord in Deuteronomy 17: 16, i e., the accumulation of 1. horses / cavalry, 2. wives and 3. money. Solomon, the Builder, is associated with the Masons and is in fact revered in those circles. But if you read the Bible (1 Kings chapters 10 and 11) you see that Solomon who started out so well ended in failure. Solomon had 700 wives and 1,000 concubines, many foreign women. "The weight of gold received annually by Solomon amounted to six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold" (1 Kings 10:14). [Note the 666] Because of his transgressions he opened himself up to false worship and Idolatry (he worshiped Astarte). "The Lord had said to the Israelites 'You are not to go among them nor they among you, or they will be sure to sway your hearts to their own gods.'" (1 Kings 11:2). "When Solomon grew old his wives swayed his heart to other gods" (1 Kings 11:4). "The Lord was angry with Solomon because his heart had turned away from YHWH, God of Israel who had appeared twice to him and had forbidden him to follow other gods." (1 Kings 11:9) I do not know much about the Rothchilds. There were four sons who inherited the banking business and they were dispersed to set up banks in the major centres of Commerce - London, Berlin, Frankfurt etc. There is a stark contrast between the alleged, nefarious cloud surrounding the Rothchilds and their public perception in the UK. For example, one of the Rothchilds has a very striking Gothic mansion in Wadeston, England. It is set in beautiful countryside and is open to the public. It is a perceived as a great day out for the family, as there are many attractions on the estate and nice restaurants etc. The house is 'magical' in the Disney sense. At Christmas there are impressive lights and Santa Clause for kids etc. So in the public's mind I would imagine the Rothchild's are the epitomy of respectability and "Community spirit'. Perhaps that Rothchild is 'respectable' or perhaps they are very good at public relations- I simply do not know, but just want to highlight the disparity here. Certainly, their love of money would make them susceptible to sins of various kinds.
Who was it that said at the time of Vatican 2 that they were opening the windows to let in some fresh air or something to that effect? In a recent podcast Anthony Stine said the Paul VI said (not sure if it was in a document) that he was putting the Church at the service of the world.

The blogger Vox Day [Christian, but not (yet) Catholic] is currently writing a series of posts on his blog, eloquently attacking the ideas of the Enlightenment. He pulls no punches. This very busy man has also recently published a very focussed mathematical attack on Darwinian Evolution, 'Probability Zero', which I'm currently ploughing through. I think he's worth reading and can only be doing good (somewhat like the other people doing works in Christ's name, that the Apostles mentioned to Our Lord).
DeG, in a post above InVeritatem mentioned Candace Owens recently talking about the origins of the Star of David. I had watched that episode and it was very interesting. I think you mentioned before that you don't tend to watch videos. In the same one she talks about the roots of Freudian Psychoanalysis being in Jewish mysticism. She refers to a book called Sigmund Freud and The Jewish Mystical Tradition by David Bakan (originally published in 1958) which I'm hoping to read soon. I just wondered if you had heard of it already or might be interested in it.
I remember G.K. Chesterton describing Freud as 'Fraud', in his own time. I think that sums him up. Freud created the false idea of even infants having sexuality, something previously unthinkable at that time, at least in the Christian milieu. I have read that Freud's very first patient, the wife of a friend, jumped out the window of his office to her death. His legacy, Psychoanalysis, is most notable for parting people from their money, while curing none of them. It wouldn't surprise me if his psychology was rooted in Jewish mysticism, or even Talmudism. There are multiple reports to be found of horrific child abuse among the Talmud-following Jewish Orthodox Tradition. I think Candace would want to mind herself.
I would like to understand whether the theory of Evolution, which is considered totally incompatible with Catholicism, also extends to the evolutionary scale of hominids, progressing over time until they gradually acquired distinctively human characteristics, reaching their full expression in Homo sapiens sapiens. I ask this because the fossils of what would be our ancestors are difficult evidence to ignore, as are the arguments that atheists often raise against us, such as the claim that humanity’s descent from a single couple runs into the problem of incest among the first descendants of Adam and Eve. I have generally relied on the mental reservation that the awareness of good and evil is what primarily distinguishes us as human, and that this awareness was first acquired by Adam and Eve. This, in turn, led to their distinction from animals, which act by instinct. For this reason, just like dinosaurs, such creatures do not interfere in any way with the plan of Redemption.
Yes, I don't really have any interest in his ideas but would be keen to see if they're not actually "his ideas", as he portrayed. I think the author refers to Freud's "work" as a secular form of Kaballah. Candace also refers to another book (which I don't recall the name of) which says there was child abuse going on in Vienna at the time, which apparently there is evidence to show that Freud knew about.
Today is the Feast of Saint Josephine Bakhita (1869 - 1947). I saw something earlier when reading about her again and it's not entirely unrelated to the thread topic. In 2023 the Canadian sculptor Timothy Schmalz created a large piece called "Let The Oppressed Go Free": "It depicts formerly enslaved Afro-Italian nun and saint Josephine Bakhita opening a trapdoor as she frees figures that represent human-trafficking victims. The sculpture contains almost a hundred figures representing the different faces of human trafficking including sex exploitation, forced labor, debt bondage and more.
