TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY NOVEMBER 4, 1961 On the 4th of November 1961, just 15 days after the publication of the first message, the Virgin commends a new task to the children: to start getting up early to pray the Rosary at dawn in the Calleja everyday. “Jacinta and Mari Cruz went at six in the morning” Conchita writes,”but she (The Lady) told me to go at five in the morning, and I did, because the Virgin always wants us to do penance”. “Garabandal: Message of Hope” ,Fr. Luis Saavedre, page 144
I forgot to post this yesterday so I will today. TODAY IN GARABANAL HISTORY :NOVEMBER 4,1962 Garabandal and the Holy Shroud Only after Father Eusebio Garcia de Pesquera had written his comprehensive book on Garabandal,” SHE WENT IN HASTE TO THE MOUNTAIN”, did it come to light that the Shroud was mentioned at Garabandal. It was during one of Conchita's ecstasies when the Blessed Virgin spoke to the visionary about the Sabana Santa (Spanish for Holy Shroud). Among the spectators at that ecstasy was the Marquesa de Santa Maria, an excellent witness, and it was from her that Prof. Jacques Serre learned what the Virgin said about the Shroud. The Marquesa heard Conchita repeat the words of Our Lady: "It is the divine imprint of my Son."
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY NOVEMBER 6,1966 Notes recorded by Mother Nieves (the Directress of Conchita's college) "Conchita's Recollections" On the topic of praying for the " Miracle " day. "The people pray that the Miracle will take place. Don't you see that this is foolish? It will take place whether they pray or not. I only request that the message be fulfilled. Many pray for the Miracle in order that others, who have not believed, will be put down. This doesn't seem good to me. I think that my mother is anxious for the Miracle to come in order to be free from doubts and worry . . . It's wonderful to love God and to have faith, without seeing anything. " Mother Nieves— “God is patient; He gives us light by steps. The Virgin taught you slowly, but never showed herself displeased, isn't that right?” Conchita— No, never! We never saw her that way, even when she was speaking to us about the Chastisement. We have seen the Chastisement, did you know that? But whether or not it will take place, that depends. when we told her our faults, she was silent. From " She went in haste to the Mountain " Book 2, Chapter 3, “Recollections” pgs. 84-96.
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY NOVEMBER 7,1967 Artist who drew and painted Mary’s image at Garabandal started work. From November 7-15,1967 , Painter Isabel Daganzo ( who lived in Barcelona ) drew and painted on canvas the images of our Blessed Mother, under Conchita’s guidance in 1967. "I showed her, among several sketches, the one of Our Lady of Garabandal—she had directed me how to do it, first in the village and then in Pamplona—from which came the image that is venerated today in the chapel of the Archangel St. Michael in Garabandal, also reproduced in colored holy cards that are all over the world."- Isabel Daganzo
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY NOVEMBER 8,1966 Notes recorded by Mother Nieves ( the directress of Conchita's college ) "Conchita's Recollections" Conchita: " Helping others has done me much good. When I visited the hospitals, I noticed that I benefited. Then I remembered the things that attracted me at other times — like amusements, fine clothes — and I saw that they weren't worth the trouble." From " She went in haste to the Mountain " Book 2, Chapter 3, “Recollections” pgs. 84-96
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY NOVEMBER 9,1966 Notes recorded by Mother Nieves ( the directress of Conchita's college ) "Conchita's Recollections" Mother Nieves tried to lift up her spirits, telling her that when the (spiritual ) darkness passed she would enter into the fullness of God . . . Conchita— "What a joy if it were like that! But could I possibly experience more joy than I have experienced in the past? The apparitions of the Virgin filled me with happiness. But the locutions of Jesus are much better. I don't understand ... It is something superior ... I pray that He accomplishes His will in me." From " She went in haste to the Mountain " Book 2, Chapter 3, “Recollections” pgs. 84-96
GARABANDAL CONFERENCE IN TORONTO 11-9-96 WITH JOEY LOMANGINO AND JACINTA MOYNIHAN. I thought it would be a wonderful for those of you who have never heard Joey speak about his life, accident, conversion, meeting Padre Pio, trips to Garabandal, and the Warning and Miracle. I was blessed to accompany Joey and Marilyn Lomangino to Toronto for this Garabandal conference. At about the 51:25 mark of this home made video, and the end of Joey’s talk, you can see people lined up to meet Jacinta and venerate the crucifix our Blessed Mother kissed. Also another line to meet Joey & Marilyn Lomangino , and venerate the large medal our Blessed Mother kissed. Here is the You Tube link :
I will be on vacation for about a week, John will be posting my information for me. Please hold any questions for me until I return. Thank you.
The Great Miracle & 8 DAY NOTICE The “extremely great” Miracle which Conchita mentions in her Diary is more fully discussed in the notes she gave Francisco Sanchez-Ventura, author of “The Apparitions of Garabandal” : “I am the only one to whom the Blessed Virgin spoke of the Miracle. She forbade me to say what it will consist of. I can’t announce the date either until eight days before it is due to occur. What I can reveal is that it will coincide with an event in the Church and with the feast of a saint, martyr of the Eucharist; that it will take place at 8:30 on a Thursday evening; that it will be visible to all those who are in the village and surrounding mountains; that the sick who are present will be cured and the incredulous will believe. It will be the greatest miracle that Jesus will have performed for the world. There won’t be the slightest doubt that it comes from God and that it is for the good of mankind. A sign of the Miracle—un señal del milagro—which it will be possible to film or televise, will remain forever—para siempre—at the pines.” Conchita’s Diary: "The Blessed Virgin advised me of a great miracle, saying that God, Our Lord, would perform it through her intercession. Just as the chastisement will be very, very great, in keeping with the needs of the world. The Blessed Virgin has told me the date of the miracle and what it will consist of. I am supposed to announce it eight days in advance, so that people will come. On September 14, 1965, Conchita said: “The sign that will remain forever at the pines is something we will be able to photograph, televise and see, but not touch. It will be evident that it is not a thing of this world but from God.” At another time, concerning the Great Miracle, she added that, “it would last about 15 minutes.” On August 10, 1971, while talking to a group of Americans, she offered this revealing information: “It will take place on or between the eighth and sixteenth of March, April or May. It will not happen in February or June.” We know when Conchita is going to make the Miracle announcement roughly. Miracle in April (8-16) so her announcement has to be from March 31-April 8,

Today in Garabandal History: Nov.12,1966 I found another one of those great little known stories, on how our Blessed Mother performed “small miracles “ all the time ,that went unnoticed until years later . This stories comes from when Conchita was in school in Burgos, under the direction of Mother Nieves Garcia. This story was revealed to Mother ,by Conchita on Nov.12,1966. Conchita speaking to Mother Nieves : “You know Fr. Collin? Now he is trying to pass for the Pope ( he is a Frenchman with a small group of followers who called himself Clement XV.) he was in my village. He wanted to speak with me but my mother wouldn't allow it. The people ended up throwing him out of the village. Well when I was in Rome, they showed me a picture from a newspaper in which I was shown at Fr. Collin's side, and it mentioned there that he had been with me and many other lies. I deny this since I have never been with him. They make up many things like this. One day a woman came to my village and insistently asked me to inscribe a card for her. I wrote nothing more than "Ask that God bless our only Pope his Holiness Paul VI." I don't know why that occurred to me. A little later a priest I know well ,came running up and said to me " What have you written for that woman ? She is a Mason, a supporter of Fr. Collin". Amazing how Mary saw everything going on and protected Conchita!
Today in Garabandal History: November 13 ,1965 ARE YOUR HANDS EMPTY ? The Last Apparition at Garabandal November 13, 1965, was a day mixed with joy and sadness for Conchita. The Virgin appeared with her Child to the teenager but it was to be for the last time at Garabandal. As Mary had already indicated this was to be a special apparition for kissing religious objects and Conchita had many with her. After kissing the articles, the Virgin said: 'Through the kiss I have bestowed on these objects, my Son will perform prodigies. Distribute them to others. Talk to me, Conchita, talk to me about my children. I hold them all beneath my mantle. This will be the last time you will see me here but I shall always be with you and with all my children. Conchita, why don't you go and visit my Son in the tabernacle? He waits for you night and day." Conchita said to the Virgin, "I am so happy when I see both of you. Why don't you take me now to heaven with you?" She replied, "Remember what I told you on your patronal feast day? " When you present yourself before God, your hands must be filled with good deeds done for your brothers and for His glory. At the present time, your hands are empty."
NOVEMBER 14, 1965:The reason Albrecht was at Conchita's house was ,this is the day after the very last apparition of the Blessed Mother (Nov. 13, 1965 ). CONCHITA OPENS UP WITH GERMAN EDITOR ALBRECHT WEBER The German publisher was at the village on the very day Conchita had her last apparition of the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel. During his stay, he had a series of conversations with Conchita, of which he published certain excerpts in 1993, in his fine book, 'Garabandal, The Hand of God.' In the presence of Aniceta, Eloisa Deguia (Madrid), and his own sister, the conversations bore, among other major topics, on "the last Popes," on the future "Unity of the Church," on "abortion" as well, about which Conchita, astonished, pointed out to A. Weber that it would cause the Cup of divine Wrath to overflow! The Blessed Virgin had spoken about this unfortunate practice to the visionary, in terms that had left her stunned. Indeed, at the time, Conchita did not understand "how it was possible to kill a child in his (or hers) mother's womb without killing the mother at the same time . . .!" [Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, J. Serre, page 203]
4 World famous Saints supported Conchita Garabandal ! St. Padre Pio St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta St. Pope John Paul II St. Pope Paul VI I can’t think of another Marian apparition that a Visionary had such credible public support and defense of her visions in ecstasy. In addition to her 4 years of visits by our Blessed Mother, she also received several Locutions from Jesus himself ! Not to mention her life spent in quiet ,spiritual, humility, another great example of a true Visionary. St. Padre Pio: “Asked on another occasion about its authenticity, he answered curtly, ”How many times must she appear there to be believed ? “ St. Mother Teresa: "It was in 1970 that I heard about the apparitions of San Sebastian de Garabandal for the first time . . . From the beginning, I felt that the 'events' were authentic . ." St. John Paul II : “May God reward you for everything. Especially for the deep love with which you are making the events connected with Garabandal more widely known.” St. Pope Paul VI “ the Holy Father came to her and announced joyfully in a clear voice, "Conchita, I, the Pope, bless you and with me the whole Church blesses you."
November 16,1966 — Conchita: “Sometimes they judged me bad without reason. I remember that one day the guards told me something bad that had been said about me. I let out a laugh, because I didn't understand. They became angry at my laughter. Later I mentioned it in my home, and everyone was upset. They even came to threaten the guards for having said such things to a child. “ From " She went in haste to the Mountain " Book 2, Chapter 3, “Recollections” pgs. 84-96 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was talking to Conchita one day in April 2014, and I was telling her how much I hate the lies and gossip on the internet against her and our Blessed Mothers messages, and she said it didn’t bother her. I said “why ?” She said “ I don’t have anything to hide from God, so I don’t worry about what anyone else thinks”.
November 17,1962 Conchita had heard that there was danger of war because of the situation in Gibraltar . . . She was worried, thinking of her brother Miguel, and she spoke to the Sister as soon as she saw her: —" How afraid I am of war! Will it happen?” In 1962, when they were talking about the threat of war, I mentioned it to the Virgin. Will there be a war? She only answered me, God does not want war for His children. That says a lot, doesn't it? In order to inspire Conchita to be strong in the face of difficulties, the sister talked to her about Christ. This obviously pleased Conchita; however, she ended up saying this: — I think more of the Virgin. It is . . . as if I have more feeling for her. The Lord is very serious. And when He speaks to me, He seems concerned for everyone. The Virgin, as if more for me . . . Anyway, in summing things up: who loves the Mother, also loves the Son. Isn't that so? From " She went in haste to the Mountain " Book 2, Chapter 3, “Recollections” pgs. 84-96
