I once fell in love "head over heals". but unfortunately fell head over heels when Geralyn and I visited family down in Pennsylvania this past weekend. This resulted in fracturing a bone in my right foot, my now wearing a leg brace for the next three months (won't be fun this winter!). And I won't be processing down aisles or carrying the Book of Gospels or kneeling, but I can still assist at the altar without kneeling, and (too bad for the congregation) preach. I humbly ask prayers for a quick recovery, that I don't drive Geralyn nuts (she is already nutty), and that the Lord infuse me with patience. You all are excellent prayer warriors; I appreciate your love and consideration.
Prayers to Saint Raphael. Everything happens for a reason . Maybe you have been too busy for proper prayer. This will slow you down. God does not depend on us. He may choose to use us, but that is a different matter. Busyness has been the downfall of may a soul. Be happy to be slowed down.
The 3 highlights are great, Padraig! More prayer time is always a plus! But getting pampered by Geralyn could become addictive!
I see the farmer next door hobbling about with a walking stick today. Poor man must have hurt himself too. The country can be dangerous. I also saw his young nephew out in the fields with a chain saw using it like crazy. No googles, no ear mufflers, no eye guard, no gloves, no boots just t shirt and jeans. It scared me just looking at him. Mad. Prayers
Mario I wish you a speedy recovery. I hope this time of reduced activity will give you opportunities you wouldn't have if you were not injured. I'll keep you in my prayers.
