Cardinal Burke and Cardinal Sarah are two of the very few good and holy prelates we have high up in the Church. I am so grateful for them. Perhaps their optimism came from their own holiness causing them to see the best in others. Regardless, there is absolutely nothing helpful about this post, other than a self-congratulations. And a very strangely sad thing to be congratulating oneself about.

What can we do but cry for our pope and our Church, pray, sacrifice and teach the Truth with charity to those around us? Discouragement threatens to weigh us down, but we must have hope. Keep our eyes on Christ Who is still in charge and loves His Church.

Prayer and sacrifice - we must remember that a lot of our priests have had a very poor formation and eventually some of them become bishops & cardinals.

We live surrounded by diabolical disoriention in the world and in the church.

18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

I always think of this when you see how many priests, bishops, cardinals and popes are loved by secular groups. Only Jesus can judge them, but if being loved by the world was as warning sign.....

I don't know if there really is such a word but it makes me feel discombobulated. Like I don't believe these things are really happening.

It is interesting reading the comments of ordinary Catholics on all these things and quite a few say they have just switched off taking any notice and are simply praying. I suppose alright, fine. Maybe they are right.

But I don't know its kinda hard to close your eyes like that. But maybe they are right. If I was a Carthusian monk or nun , a hermit, I would know nothing at all about any of this and I wonder if I would be any worse off?

    Just no attention at all.

    It is tempting.

    100% agree.

We are all being tried and tested in our personal lives, in our family/social circles, in school/at work, in our parishes, communities, and countries. The current apostasy at the top of the Church hierarchy makes us feel hopeless, oppressed, and crushed. The situation is worse for those who are persecuted and killed for their faith in other countries. In one of his homilies, a parish priest told his congregation, “There will come a time when the only one whom you can rely on [and trust] is God.”

I just want to share with all of you these words of hope and encouragement for the faithful remnant. May our tribe increase. I have copied the text below from https://veilofveronica.blog/

Beloved Lily of the Father (redacted):

You come before me asking about your suffering. Suffering after suffering. You lament that it feels like you cannot catch your breath before the next wave happens. You tell me you feel empty, as if you have nothing left to give.

Do you not realize that this must be so? I desire your vessel to be empty. I AM preparing to fill you in a way that will amaze you, but I need surrender. I need you empty of attachment to honor, pleasure, wealth, and power. I need you surrendered, dependent, empty of all that is not ME. I need you humbled.

Oh, you boastful hearts, if you only knew what true humility was you would not fight it so hard.

You have wondered about the days ahead, about the prophecies, about when I WILL act, as if you can know the mind of God.

Some things are not for you to know, but for you to TRUST, completely and totally.

I AM preparing you to be an oblation. I do not expect you to be perfect. I AM perfect. I expect you to enter fully into Divine Worship. Your life is to become a liturgy. Whether you live or die, live and die in worship of my Glory. I AM transfiguring love.

A time is coming when the Spirit will flood the earth. All with see with clarity. Partake in the heart of the Immaculate Conception. Her heart is the Ark of these times. The refuge of the flood. I give you a share of the Immaculate Conception because I Glory in your healing. I AM GLORY.

Yesterday you burned your right hand. As the pain seared through the night I put on your heart my Priests and their consecrated hands. My hands bore wounds for their hands to bring healing.

Woe to those Priests who abuse their power and authority with those anointed hands.

Come judgment the Priestly hands will either burn unconsumed in the fire of my Love and Glory or they will burn in agony for the sins committed against my Sacred Heart and against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Pray daily for Priests, when the outpouring flood comes, people will flock to them. Pray they cause no more Sorrow.

Do not wallow in dismay as you see catastrophe come, but persevere in prayer and trust with your entire being. You feel scattered now as the Apostles did during my Passion, but a time of unification is coming. True unity is union with ME.

Make up for what is lacking. Love is lacking in the human heart. Love with all that you are. It is love that makes you blameless and calls down my mercy and perfection.

My bride is to be Immaculate.

Rev. 3:05 – If you conquer, you will be clothed like them in white robes, and I will not erase your name from the book of life; I will confess your name before my Father and before his angels.

He said in an interview a few weeks ago that his mission as pope was not to solve the problems of the world but to proclaim the Gospel — a somewhat controversial statement if not understood in light of the fundamental mission of every Christian: “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” Now, the very strange "blessing of the block of ice" seems to go directly against this.

St Paul said we preach Christ crucified.

The pope was preaching climate justice.

Yes. A good reminder for us of Our Lady's words to Sister Lucie. Even the best minds would suffer from diabolical disorientation. We are there.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

I think many of us, like these good Cardinals, were genuinely optimistic about our new Pope Leo, we had high hopes for him. After the stormy papacy of Pope Francis we were excited for a breath of fresh air and a new beginning for the Church. I find myself becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the direction that Pope Leo is taking. He is very different from Francis, but his agenda is disturbingly similar. It is incredibly difficult to return to the sad days of Francis' papacy when the most we could do was to pray for his conversion, but here we are.

I think I see myself in that camp. It's not that I don't care, I do. But in looking at all the things that are wrong in me, and around me in the church and the world, I realise all I can do is pray and make reparation, and give alms when the occasion arises.
There's a pretty good chance that I will die within 10 miles of where I am right now as I write this, so my world in geographical term is small. However, this is where the Lord has planted me and it's where I need to bloom. If I get caught up in looking and / or worrying about stuff that I realistically can't do much more about other than what I am already doing daily, then I lose my peace. My prayers cannot be effective if my heart is not at peace.

It’s been raining here in Ireland just about all day. I wish to protest against this blatant Climate Injustice! I can only presume, according to this new-fanglin’ progressive church that all youse out there enjoying nice weather are exploiting us poor climate victims-ye’re all grave sinners and owe all us wet people reparations. As in all you’ve got.

Seriously, how does Pope Leo reconcile his support for immigration from the low carbon-footprint, warm South to the high-footprint, cold North while simultaneously hoping to preserve more blocks of ice? I thought the Catholic God was the Logos of Reason, One incapable of creating anything that could contradict itself. There I go again.

If I remember correctly, and I think the historical posts on this site will broadly confirm it, we took quite a long time for the majority of us to realise what Bergoglio was up to. This was understandable, at least according to my own perspective: it took me a very long time, in the face of what is now easily perceivable as overwhelming evidence, to come to terms with the appalling fact that a pope could be bad and a heretic. Perhaps, Bergoglio was a gift from God to inoculate us and to grant us wisdom and experience to deal with somebody who conceivably could turn out to be far worse?
