Well, there are actually more legal restrictions on abortion and homosexuality in Russia than there are in the United States, so I am not sure what your point is there. Since the 1984 Consecration, Russia has gone from being the most brutal, atheistic Government on the planet to having more restricitons on the planet's two greatest evils (Abortion and Sodomy) than the West. Sounds like Russia is converting to me. You also seem to have confused the Consecration with the Triumph. The Consecration was accomplished in 1984. Pope Francis is not going to repeat it. But we still await the Triumph. You see, the Consecration is not magic. The Consecration of Russia was only one part of the Request that leads to the Triumph. David, I am not trying to argue, there is mystery to the end of times. But, there is little fruit (the Berlin Wall coming down) so this shows the Consecration hasn't been done as the Blessed Mother asked. Here is a recent private revelation. You cannot find one statement by JPII or Sister Lucia where they personally declared the word RUSSIA in an Official Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. All who say it happened so, repeated what they wanted to hear, not what was actually said. Father Amorth, who headed the 1984 consecration confirmed that JPII wanted to use Russia, but all prelates around him told him he could not use Russia specific, so he used the word WORLD in its place. This is a fact.
Fatima, How about if everyone who wishes at MOG, pick an evening moment of time, keeping in mind the time zones and stop and pray together for this intention, that Pope Francis asks the Bishops to name Russia and not the world. I've been praying Our Lord would appear to the Holy Father...I am serious.

HAPPY FEAST DAY of the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Our Lady’s title, Mother of God, was solemnly ratified at the Council of Ephesus in the year 431. The Protestant error denying Our Lady this title is one of the five blasphemies for which She seeks reparation through the Five First Saturdays devotion. In a 1929 letter to her confessor, Sr. Lucy explained the need for reparation for such grievous blasphemies: “Our Good Lord in His infinite Mercy asked me…to make reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and to implore pardon and mercy in favor of souls who blaspheme against Her, BECAUSE THE DIVINE MERCY DOES NOT PARDON THESE SOULS WITHOUT REPARATION.” Holy Mother of God, preserve us!
Wrong. In the letter the Pope sent to the world's bishops in preparation for the 1984 Consecration, the Holy Father clarified that it was to renew both the consecration of the world (1942) and Russia (1952). This time he did so in union with the bishops. Sister Lucia confirmed in correspondence that the Consecration was done correctly in 1984 and was accepted by Heaven. To say otherwise is to call Sister Lucia, Cardinal Ratzinger, the Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith Archbishop Bertone, Pope John Paul II, Father Fox and numerous other Catholics liars. Most of the Fatima-Consecration-wasn't-done-correctly innuendo and calumny originated with the Gruner Cult which shares one glaring trait with the Medjugorje Cult: Disobedience and Defamation towards legitimate Church authorities. Funny how that works. I guess birds of a feather do really flock together.
This doesn't appear to be a Church-approved private revelation. I think Monsignor Essef is a very holy man, but he is not the one to decide if this private revelation is valid. That's up to this seer's local Bishop to decide.
