As far as I know, only the so-called prophetic list of popes attributed to Saint Malachy—which apparently proved to be false with the outcome of the last conclave.
That is, of course, a legitimate point of view. And I know it can be tiring when someone comes round the corner again and tries to explain why a prophecy should perhaps not be discarded after all. Now it's me I believe it was Michael Pio who pointed out to following. "According to the previous interpretation of the so-called Malachy prophecy, the current Pope Francis as ‘Petrus Romanus’ would be the last pope in church history, immediately followed by the Apocalypse and the Last Judgement. However, the Bayreuth historian Hermann Hiery presents an alternative interpretation in the Catholic weekly newspaper ‘Die Tagespost’, according to which at least three more popes are to be expected before the end times described in the prophecy begin." According to this article, Pope Leo could be “De labore solis” (The toil of the sun). "‘De labore solis’ points to a pope under whom an event of cosmic proportions will take place, “perhaps a huge meteor or asteroid that comes close to the earth and eclipses the sun"." The Warning maybe? Incidentally, the article by the historian in ‘Die Tagespost’ to which CNA refers dates from 2021. This is huge. Going about things quietly, but affirming tradition. A direct refutation of Amoris laetitia, where Pope Francis described marriage as an almost possible ideal. Pope Leo says it is 'not an ideal', but the 'canon of true love between man and woman, total, faithful, fruitful love'. A nod to Humanae vitae (my emphasis in bold) and thus both barrels directed at homosexual pseudomarriage. Marriage and the family. This is the battleground. Great.
WOW! Given the celestial signs and Fatima, this fits very well! Thanks for filling in this piece of the puzzle!
The Final Battle Sister Lucia, one of the Fatima seers, warned that the final battle between the Lord and Satan would be about marriage and the family. She emphasized that anyone working for the sanctity of marriage and family would face opposition, as this is a decisive issue. This prediction was conveyed in a letter she sent to Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, who later shared it on Inside The Vatican and other Catholic publications. https://insidethevatican.com/magazine/the-final-battle-marriage-and-family/
Perhaps because common sense is a gift of the Holy Spirit. In the Holy Spirit Novena today we pray for the gift of Counsel. The Gift of Counsel The gift of Counsel endows the soul with supernatural prudence, enabling it to judge promptly and rightly what must done, especially in difficult circumstances. Counsel applies the principles furnished by Knowledge and Understanding to the innumerable concrete cases that confront us in the course of our daily duty as parents, teachers, public servants, and Christian citizens. Counsel is supernatural common sense, a priceless treasure in the quest of salvation. “Above all these things, pray to the Most High, that He may direct thy way in truth.” Prayer Come, O Spirit of Counsel, help and guide me in all my ways, that I may always do Thy holy will. Incline my heart to that which is good; turn it away from all that is evil, and direct me by the straight path of Thy commandments to that goal of eternal life for which I long.
And if one is not in a state of Grace I don’t think one receives those gifts. Unfortunately a great part of modern mankind simply is NOT in a state of Grace. Therefore Common Sense is not so common.
I do agree that gifts of Holy Spirit can only be conveyed to those in state of grace. If I remember my catechism Correctly, a state of grace is union with God. This separation from God happens with unabsolved mortal sins. But I do think a person remains in a state of grace if they have committed venial sins. So there is at least some hope for these gifts.
Pope Leo XIV: The Church ‘will always defend the sacred right to believe in God’ Pope Leo XIV address papal representatives on June 10, 2025, at the Vatican./ Credit: Vatican Media By Almudena Martínez-Bordiú Vatican City, Jun 10, 2025 / 14:11 pm Pope Leo XIV received papal representatives at the Vatican on Tuesday, reminding them that the Church “will always defend the sacrosanct right to believe in God” and that this life “is not at the mercy of the powers of this world.” In the June 10 speech delivered in the Clementine Hall of the Vatican Apostolic Palace, he thanked the papal nuncios and international organizations around the world for their work. The pontiff noted that “there is no country in the world” with a diplomatic corps as universal and united as that of the Holy See: “We are united in Christ and we are united in the Church.” “I say this thinking certainly of the dedication and organization, but, even more so, of the motivations that guide you, the pastoral style that should characterize you, the spirit of faith that inspires us,” he added. He particularly thanked them for being able to rely on the documentation, reflections, and summaries prepared by the diplomats when faced with a situation that concerns the Church in a particular country. “This is for me a cause for great appreciation and gratitude,” he reiterated. ‘Always be the eyes of Peter!’ Pope Leo XIV then shared with those present the account from the Acts of the Apostles (3:1-10) of the healing of the paralytic, a scene that, in his opinion, “describes the ministry of Peter well.” For the pontiff, the man who begs for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple represents “the image of a humanity that has lost hope and is resigned.” “Even today, the Church often encounters men and women who no longer have any joy, whom society has sidelined, or whom life has in a certain sense forced into begging for their existence,” he lamented. After looking into his eyes, the pope recounted, Peter said to the paralytic: “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, [rise and] walk.” After quoting this passage, Pope Leo noted that “to look into one’s eyes means to build a relationship. The ministry of Peter is to create relationships, bridges: and a representative of the pope, first and foremost, serves this invitation to look into the eyes.” “Always be the eyes of Peter! Be men capable of building relationships where it is hardest to do,” the pope exhorted them, asking them to do so with humility and realism. The Holy Father also placed his trust in the diplomatic corps of the Holy See so that “everyone may know that the Church is always ready for everything out of love, that she is always on the side of the last, the poor, and that she will always defend the sacrosanct right to believe in God, to believe that this life is not at the mercy of the powers of this world but rather is traversed by a mysterious meaning.” He also encouraged them to “always have a blessing gaze, because the ministry of Peter is to bless, that is, always to know how to see the good, even that which is hidden.” “Feel that you are missionaries, sent by the pope to be tools of communion, unity, serving the dignity of the human person, promoting sincere and constructive relations everywhere with the authorities with whom you are required to cooperate,” he urged. In conclusion, he reiterated that their work “always be enlightened by the sound decision for holiness.” After the speech, the papal representatives received a ring bearing the inscription “sub umbra Petri” (“under the shadow of Peter,” cf. Acts 5:15) from the pope as a sign of communion. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ca...ays-defend-the-sacred-right-to-believe-in-god
Interestingly, there are rumors that Parolin's candidacy collapsed during the last conclave due to an internal speech by Cardinal Burke denouncing his role in the Church’s obscure agreement with the Chinese dictatorship. There is much talk about a "middle-ground" pope being chosen through a mutual agreement between progressives and conservatives. However, if the Burke factor truly carried weight in the last conclave, it is likely that Prevost will need to take a clear stance before the conservatives on this thorny issue inherited from the previous pontificate.
Totally see it and relate to it. I also whole heartedly believe the answer is within the eye of our Lady of Guadalupe.
Part of the still amazing discoveries found within the Miraculous Tilma... Is found within the eyes of the Blessed Virgin. A Scientist, was inspecting the Image, and nearly fainted... when he realized that the entire Vascular system, and eye detail were anatomically correct, and in fact had an image deep within the Iris. This would essentially be unseen to the Naked eye, until the Invention of Magnification Lenses, that could acquire the image within the Eye. The Image, Has a Woman, at the Center, with a Husband, Children and Grandparents. It's also has a glassy movement, showing how when the Woman, and Man get closer... the children and grandparents also do. The people performing the inspection figure it would be a message to the modern day, seeing as the magnescope was essential for even being able to see and discover it. The image hovers over the Tilma they say 46 Stars, 46 popes... each of the constellations (which depict the starry night that Juan Diego had shown the image to the Bishop within his office... This is seen within the other eye in the tilma. anyhow... the last report I was reading about in re: the constellations is they are connected by their Priestly Vocations... The weather conditions of where it was stored, and located... Scientists figure it SHOULD have lasted approximately 50 yrs... It is a Cactus Tilma made in the 1500's... yet it has survived an acid attack, and direct explosion... that damaged everything in the room with it... yet the Tilma endures May God Continue to Bless and Be with the Blessed Virgin.
yeah, I really enjoy looking in to Marian Visitations... Another Undeniable one... Our Lady of Las Llagas, in Columbia. A woman with a Deaf/Mute Child (hits home for me, my parents were deaf)... Would bring her daughter to the shore, while she would go pick berries (or something another). She came back, her daughter spoke and heard for the first time... Mentioning she was playing with the 'little boy' close to his mother. Not long after... the child took ill, and passed away. The mother remembering THIS story within grief... Brought the child to the alcove. The child came back to life. The townspeople thought it to be a trick, and the church was not sure what to think... Until. The image of the Rock of Las Llagas appeared, (Mary w/ Jesus... Holding a Rosary and Brown Scapular to St. Dominic & St. Vincent de Paul. The evidence is and was undeniable. When scientists trying to discover how the rock attained the image... Drilled in to the rock, only to find the ENTIRE ROCK has the Image ingrained through it Oh... and why the Scapular/Rosary? It was meant to be an answer that both would be pleasing to the Lord... It was being questioned within the church at the time, which was greater. Just was thinking about this story while thinking about Guadalupe, and thought I'd share another one
I've been waiting for this because of the prophesied. Pope Leo has set several dates for canonisations, including these: ...On Sunday, 7 September 2025, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati and Blessed Carlo Acutis will be raised to the honour of the altars... Pope Leo XIV made a deliberate dichotomy that followed a clear idea: The joint canonisation of Acutis and Frassati on 7 September unites two young lay people who were characterised by a fervent devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist and a marked charity. Both offer a shining example of holiness in ordinary life - especially for young people... https://katholisches.info/2025/06/13/carlo-acutis-und-pier-giorgio-frassati-werden-heiliggesprochen/
