The devil does not have the power to resurrect bodies, so he distorts the meaning of the Resurrection, turning it into something symbolic, using euphemisms and countless beautiful words to hide the fact that he can never become like God, the Author of life, who alone has the power to take it away and restore it. That is why Enoch and Elijah will return at the end of times and will be resurrected before the eyes of the inhabitants of the earth—because this will destroy the entire spiritual legacy of the Antichrist;after he denies the Resurrection of our Lord. I don't know what to think about the new pope. I will admit to being nervous and scared over the matter on Thursday , calm about it on Friday, and extremely concerned and worried today. In a way, I want to believe that we have a truly holy pope, but what if it is one of the ultimate masquerades? It does feel like the devil is almost out of time, and some have claimed that there will be a ravenous wolf pretend to be a pious lamb, but is this the individual, or is the bad one someone yet unknown? I have no clue.
I believe the false prophet will build a global ecumenical religion in the style of the Bahá'í Faith, but to do that, he needs to gather the pieces of what Francis broke within Roman Catholicism itself and possess an enormous and overwhelming charisma. I understand your point, but in my case, I was waiting to see if he would possibly start up the demolition tractor of tradition, as Francis did beginning in 2014 through the synods, before judging his ministry. What I just read is that he visited the tomb of Francis, possibly seeking spiritual guidance, so don’t expect any declaration anathematizing Francis and his pontificate in the coming years. Now, the fact that he was elected precisely on the feast of St. Michael—so closely linked to Leo XIII—makes me wonder why God would allow this, knowing that so many devoted followers of St. Michael would see it as a good sign.
