This is neither here nor there - just a reality, but when speaking of the pope and his election as pontiff, I just hate referring to any of it as political. Of course, even Pope Benedict said that the conclaves are not always the work of the Holy Spirit and this makes me very sad.
Very disturbing on social media today. I think some of these people are just looking for a reaction from Catholics.
The second half of this was really good. I think he is getting at an idea that Pope Leo XIV will be focused on bringing the church into the current age. Possibly in response to all the technologies coming out? Very neat.
A French writer said one time that everything is political and that the most political thing a person could ever say would be that I am not political. None of us is ever truly alone. So we are all political one way or another , like it or not.
The church has always been political as much as we hate to admit it. Jesus constantly poked at the authorities.
I think a good way of getting a sense of him will be in how he treats the Latin Mass. If he calls off the attack dogs. Not only this but how quickly he calls off the attack dogs. He should call them off right away. I mean at once. When he wakes up in the morning. Also he should be sacking the evil people in the Vatican right away. I mean pretty well he should be chopping off heads right left and centre. It should be a blood bath. Those guilty of sexual abuse all over the world should be in prison at once.
He should at once reaffirm the Deposit of the Faith. Affirming that he is , unlike Papa Frankie, is a actual Catholic. He should at once start lining up and excommunicating the heretics...starting with the Cardinals, then the Bishops and throwing them out.Beginning with Germany. He should at once declare that Papa Frankie was a heretic and never actually Pope. He should declare null and void al his so called teachings. He should reaffirm the rule of Canon Law. He should at once suppress the Jesuit Order/ All this before breakfast. Then he should get started.
I have been trying to study and practice living in the Divine Will for over 10 years and I can honestly say that I have never experienced the graces that I and many others I know have received. Everything church related, the sacraments etc, have become to have so much more depth and meaning. I know quite a few people trying to live this spirituality and only see good fruits coming from their lives.
I agree, the problems in the Vatican aren't going anywhere and increasing scrutiny and exposure means everything will come out in time. Better to start on the investigations now rather than get caught up in one. Essentially, be on the right side now or the wrong side later. Getting rid of TLM restrictions immediately is an awesome idea. Get rid of all the globalist agenda stuff that doesn't need be focused on, bring some common sense back into the church. 90% of church attention doesn't need to go to gay blessings because of the constant propaganda of going out to the margins. You'd think the only people on the margins are gays and trans people at this point. Focus primarily on the family, vocations, and online dialogue/debate (where conversions are coming from). Stuff like this, let some stuff sort itself out. Quit forcing stupid stuff.
I just pray to God they don't kill him. Good people tend to be so innocent. My first visit would be to the Swiss Guard looking for a personal protection weapon. Or two. Or three or four. Then I would not be sleeping in the same place. I would never ever take the food or medication they gave me. I would be hunting for good people I could trust. Good hard sound men of a military/security back ground. Good Catholics. I would trust no one unless they were worthy of trust. He is in a real evil shit hole. I would be just expecting them to try to kill me.
I like all of this. I would also force these heretical Cardinals into online public streamed debate. If they cannot back up their arguments properly they need to recant or leave. Make them back it up. This way it doesn't look heavy handed, it just looks like Cardinals who are trying to force their own agendas getting removed. Sic Sam Shamoun on them. Catholic teaching didn't come out of nowhere. It is battle tested not agenda driven. Which is why the Catholic church is winning online currently.
I can never get over how innocent good people are. I can never ever get over it. I fought in a all out war for maybe six or more years or more. Believe me if you fight in a war you fight to win. You don't stay innocent for very long. It's either you or them and you want it to be them them that doesn't come out the other side. There is nothing the least bit nice about it. People are so, so, so innocent. If he is living in the Vatican he is living alongside the most evil people in the entire planet. I guarantee it. Pope Benedict woke up to it and ran for cover. I can understand why.
Just to clarify, I previously mentioned the new pope's comment about a synodal Church because it gave me the impression that the Church might be entering an irreversible stage of structural reform. It somewhat resembles the death spiral the Anglican Church experienced during its process of decentralizing governance—something that looks more like an inverted pyramid than the principle of apostolic authority that Christ entrusted to the bishops and the papacy. My best wishes to the new pope, and may God bless him. But I felt the need to make clear what came to mind as soon as he mentioned a synodal Church.
The man is a Cardinal Padraig, he knows this already I guarantee it. You know what goes on in religious life, you experienced it, now multiply that by 100 at the Cardinal stage.
I don't know how bad it was in Peru or Chicago but I will tell you this when he gets to live in Rome he will get his eyes well opened. I could not believe it the last time I was there. The sense of evil was overwhelming. Pure Satanic evil in its very worst form. But then I was only passing through. But to actually live there as a good Pope...I can't imagine.
He was Prior General of the Augustinians twice. He took the bishops in Peru through wild changes in government in Peru. He has been in the Vatican and dealt with the Vatican many times. I am positive he is spiritually battle hardened.
