I attended Mass in a neighbouring parish this morning. Mass was offered for Pope Francis which was fine. One of the priests gave a glowing eulogy on Pope Francis. He called him the Pope of synodality and it was all about listening and this would be an important part of his legacy etc etc. I feel that there is a battle royal taking part in the church. It's something like the Republicans Vs Democrats. All the people turning up at the funeral is giving heart to the liberal faction so prepare for Francis 2.
Wow. I did not realize that this lie has infiltrated into so many catholic platforms. Daniel is right, Matt must have been bullied into cancelling Daniel's appearance. There is a big, gullible audience out there for extraterrestrial talk, and a ton of $$$ to be made. With media, it's always about money and control. Diabolical plan for sure.
Well they may very well have a majority of the Cardinals and perhaps priests, but in the side of Tradition (with a capital T) is Mary , all the saints and good angels, and a poor humble remnant of faithful Catholics. Guess who wins in the end? Any further persecution makes the victory more glorious
I too, believe a big surprise is in store for the faithful. " The Spirit is the gift of God, the Pope explained, "of this God, our Father, who always surprises us: the God of surprises." This is "because He is a living God, a God who abides in us, a, God who moves our heart, a God who is in the Church and walks with us; and he always surprises us on this path". -Pope Francis 5/8/17
I can only say what happened to me when I prayed for Francis. I was praying for him and suddenly was pierced by a deep sorrow for sins. I was so stunned I stopped for a while, then went back to praying for him and saw him again. I was looking down at him and he was surrounded by grey and he was looking up onto a bright light. He looked younger and thinner and healthier than he had in life.
Maybe, in 2022, he converted after interacting with Our Lady. But the damage was already done, as the gears were already grinding. Perhaps also, his way of saying he was not actually a pope is by being entombed in St. Mary Major.
I also had a spiritual experience concerning Pope Francis a few days before he died. I won't go into details, but I think Mary wanted us to pray for Pope Francis' soul.
Cardeal pede "retorno à tradição" enquanto raça começa a ser o próximo papa https://www.yahoo.com/news/cardinal...uZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAK15FB Yesterday I was remembering that, with the death of Cardinal Pell shortly after that of Benedict XVI in 2023, the more "conservative" wing lost a kingmaker figure. According to rumors, he had been working to secure the election of Cardinal Erdő. I believe Cardinal Dolan might now play that role, but from a perspective of conformity with the Second Vatican Council.
Thank you so much for posting this and confirming something similar taking place with me as well. Like so many others, I too have been praying for the Pope's soul since he passed. At first, there was sorrow and regret for what could have been, but since yesterday, the tide has turned. I am now sensing deep contrition for my own sins. I have no doubt now that it is the prayers for Pope Francis that God is using to bring me to humility and repentance. I have never before experienced this but it suits me fine, I'd rather look at my sins than the sins of others.
The Holy Souls in Purgatory can pray for us, but not for themselves. The Church Suffering can pray for the Church Militant.
One of the Great Marian Promises is that, 'No one who has Confidence in me shall ever perish'. We see this in , for instance the Brown Scapular Devotion. Devotion to Our Blessed Mother is just about the greatest sign of hope in any soul. Papa Frankie did seem at least to have such a Devotion so that is a great sign of hope. One great thing does trouble me though is that he never gave the least public sign or repentance or trying to fix the really incredible harm he did to Our Holy Mother the Church. However I am still praying for his poor soul harder than ever. He is in the Hands of the Living God now who is always Just and always Merciful.
Happy Eastertide to all. I repent of the nasty comments I made about Pope Francis during his time. I prayed for him to not suffer hellfire since the beginning of the year. I note that after his hospitalization, he again went through the Holy Door of the Jubilee year. (He was the first one through when it opened and he went again through it in his wheelchair after his release from the hospital). So that means he gained the plenary indulgence. Also, I would say if Quis would like to shut and archive the Pope Francis thread, I think that is a great idea. Also, could I trouble those of you who speak Gaelic to translate or verify the translation of an Irish surname? It is a name derived usually from the Irish "Ó Doghair" Does the word Ó Doghair or "doghra" mean "sorrow". Thanks so much!
