In prayer today I got an overwhelming sense of the evil of this generation, worse than at the time of the flood, worse than Sodom & Gomorrah. That sin and evil is spreading exponentially and as a consequence we are rapidly heading towards serious tribulation. The dam appears to be about to burst. Mercy will soon transform into justice. Hold tight, pray, stay in a state of grace as we are entering tribulation times.
I have felt this as well. It is truly worse than the time of Noah. I have increased my prayers. The darkness is palpable.
It drove him to the Bible. I think of Jesus's words to the young man: " you are not far ftom the Kingdom of God"
A few Christmas' ago, a priest gave an unusual homily. Just look at and contemplate the manger for 20 minutes. Hmm, Ok, I'm not good at this but OK. Well after learning how many verses of Camptown Races I knew, I finally did and was right at the crib adoring Jesus. Suddenly I realised how sinful I was, my nothingness- I was nothing before His majesty. Then suddenly I was overwhelmed with the sinfulness of the world, it nearly knocked me flat. How patient is our good God with us, how loving, trying to gather His children to Him. How much longer will we have this time of mercy, before the time justice comes. Before I come as a just judge, I am coming first as ‘King of Mercy! You will prepare the world for My final coming. Speak to the world about My mercy… It is a sign for the end times. After it will come the Day of Justice In addition to these words of Our Lord, the Mother of Mercy, the Blessed Virgin, gave to Faustina this prophecy and instruction: You have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just Judge. Oh how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for granting mercy. To St. Faustina, Our Lord stated, “I am prolonging the time of mercy for the sake of (sinners),” while warning, “But woe to them if they do not recognize this time of My visitation.”
I was listening to an interesting interview today with Father Dan Reehil, an exorcist priest from Tennessee. He said the same thing, that this generation is the most evil of them all. He believes that there has been a significant increase in demonic possessions since the pandemic, a direct result of the church closures.
It is as if hell has been emptied and all the demons have been allowed out to complete the corruption of a perverse generation.. the suffering has been endless and constantly personal for many of us. This is the test. Red, white or blue martyrdom..
I had intended to post this video on the Escalation thread because I thought that Pax Prima might find it interesting. I think now that it has some relevance here. It's part of Fr. Kirby's Bible Study on Genesis. In the video Fr. Kirby covers the Nephilim story in Genesis 6. It's what he says towards the end of the video that seems particularly relevant here. He refers to St. Augustine's belief that the line of Abel and Seth was restored in the baptised. It's at about the 50th minute of the video.
Thank you very much for posting this. I very much like this possibility. The continuation of the bloodline of Abel and Seth via being a baptized Catholic would explain a lot regarding what we are seeing today in the world over the last few hundred years. Also, an interesting fact regarding the book of Enoch is that St. Augustine never read it. We only got a hold of it in something like the 18th century from Ethiopia and then again recently in Qumran.
You're welcome. Fr. Kirby's bible studies are excellent. I first came across them when he did 1 Samuel. That study seems to have disappeared from youtube but all his Genesis videos are there. I was very disappointed last year when he said that when he finished Genesis he wouldn't be uploading the next series. Thanks to Pax Prima mentioning the Nephilim, I looked for his video on Genesis 6 and discovered that he seems to have had a change of mind after he commenced a study of Exodus. The first 18 chapters of Exodus are not on the website but he has been uploading the videos since Exodus 19 and has reached chapter 25 in his latest video. He said at the end of that video that he will finish Exodus 25 next week and then take a break until next Spring. Sorry, I tried posting a list to his bible study playlist but I just can't make it work. You'll find the list on his youtube channel.
I don't think that not having read Enoch makes a difference to what St. Augustine said about the baptised being a restoration of the line of Seth. What matters is that the book is not part of the Canon of Scripture so, even though it contains truthful statements, it can't be relied on as being the inspired word of God. From my limited search, it appears that the only Christians and Jews who believe it to be Scriptural are Eritrean and Ethiopian Christians and Jews. It wasn't included in the Septuagint. I found a Catholic Answers video where Tim Staples explains why it is excluded from the Canon of Scripture. I'll post that video the other thread because I don't want to take this thread off topic. The reason I posted the Fr. Kirby video here is his quote from St. Augustine. God destroyed the world after the people of God (the line of Seth) became overwhelmingly sinful after interbreeding with the line of Cain. Cain's descendant was a bigamist and murderer, and Seth's descendants were on the same path. Noah alone was righteous. Only his family were spared from the flood, and one of his sons was nothing to be proud of. In our time, it's the countries of the baptised where marriage is belittled. And they use the sign of God's covenant with Noah for a symbol as they push sinfulness on the rest of the world. God will keep his covenant to not destroy the world but we, the people of God, can expect a serious chastisement.
At the same time all of this is going on, so many children are having dreams of Jesus coming soon. It is crazy how many of these stories I see come up on Instagram reels of late. So many kids ages 4 and up are having dreams of Jesus and you see their parents video the kids telling what they saw and heard. It is so wonderful that when evil is at its peak and the veil is being lifted for all to see, we also have heaven at its peak. We may truly be in some part of the end times and the Triumph of the Immaculate heart is so so close now. Interesting that Tucker C has been attacked in that way. To be honest, I thought really violent attacks were rare and only knew of St Pio being beaten up by demons. I have two daughters who have told me of demonic attacks though not to shedding blood. As a little girl for a while I used to hear demons screaming horrible things at me but I ignored it and it went away. I’m so glad I didn’t tell my parents as they would probably have thought it was a psychosis. I think demons lash out at souls who draw close to God. I think God must have plans for Tucker.
