I think this is why I've always been under the impression that there are just 10 secrets total, for the world. Because it seems that Mirjana is the one tasked with revealing them to the world when the time comes. And there are only 10 secrets on her parchment.

You’re welcome. The public secrets are the same, yes.
You’re right. There are only 10 for the world.

But now Cardinal Fernandez is in control of the messages and the secrets as all has to be run through his office first.

Yes they'll let us all know 50 years after we are all dead. Maybe send a slow pigeon to our graves.

Witness how they butchered and hid the Fatima Secret.

Which Our Lady instructed them to reveal but were so smart they knew better .

I feel another rush of hot blood to the brain.

Perhaps we should try praying and fasting better than the laity did in the 1900s!

God knows how it will all play out, and He sent His Mother anyway. I'm confident that, with our prayers, Mary will get the secrets to us when we need them.

I would question that thought. Both Eve and the New Eve were completely free to submit or not, for they were untainted by original sin. The foreknowledge of God is a mysterious truth, but not a determiner of our choices.

I do like your insight in how our prayers can be an inpetus for the conversion of others!:ROFLMAO:

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Aren’t the messages just going to the Cardinal present in Medjugorje, not Fernandez? Since that Cardinal (his name escapes me) believes in Medjugorje, I don’t think this is something to worry about.

This is a really good point, and I am questioning this whole thing, and to be sincere I don't really feel like I have an adequate answer to this. Jesus, who is God, interacted with Judas for three years and he still wound up in hell. Adam and Eve both walked with God and still fell. But when Jesus interacted with St. Paul, he went from a Christian blood lusting Jew to the exact opposite. So in a sense, it seems like God can regulate the faith of people, but they have to be open to it. Which seemingly goes back to the parable of the sower. However, a prayer accepted by God, can change the course of a person's life greatly.

If anyone wants to chime in, I would appreciate it. I don't see myself as debating. Just trying to put a question to rest.

The way I see it is this. God knows ahead of time what a person is going to do with any graces that are given to him. So He gives more graces to people He knows are going to respond faithfully, and He gives less graces to those He knows will squander them.

I like this, however Judas received 3 years with Jesus. A huge amount of grace and he still ended up in perdition. I remember hearing something in scripture along the lines that if someone squanders their graces, they turn into impediments. I guess this is the parable of the talents, but I think I remember seeing this said somewhere else. I remember hearing something else whereby God will withhold graces knowing that they will be misused causing a soul to fall.

Yes, there's some mystery to it all, I think. Sometimes we get our brains in knots trying to figure it out, but in the end, it is sufficient to trust God knows what He's doing and has the right to deal with every person how He wills. Since none of us deserve anything at all!

The Apostolic administrator is Archbishop Aldo Cavalli - I am not sure what his stance is but he now has control of the future messages/secrets and will report back to Cardinal Fernandez.

"In light of the clarifications offered above, he (Archbishop Cavalli) will then discern any future messages—or past messages that have not yet been published—and should authorize them before any publication. Likewise, he will take such measures as he deems necessary and will guide pastoral discernment in response to new situations that may arise, keeping this Dicastery informed" (Dicastery of the Doctrine of Faith - Cardinal Fernandez).

There we have confirmation from the horses mouth that the Vatican aka Cardinal Fernandez now has control over the messages and secrets.

Paul did have a tremendous turnaround, but it was always governed by buckets of humility. We see this very clearly in Philippians 3:

8 Indeed I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, based on law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith; 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that if possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

...that if possible I may attain...It strikes me that the great saints have buckets of humility. I may look at them with admiration, but their reference point is always the Lord.

Our Lady says it best! I am the handmaid of the Lord; be it done unto me according to your word!

Cavalli has stated he feels positively about Medjugorje.

I don’t think, however, that Cavalli is going to send the monthly message to await approval in the Vatican every single month. I really don’t think that this will have any bearing on the monthly messages.

In regards to the secrets, I guess it’s possible the Vatican could intervene but I can’t see the visionaries or priests at Medjugorje not releasing the secret if someone in the Vatican told them. I feel like someone involved would just publish them anyways.

Do you suppose that he had this humility prior to his conversion? Because it doesn't seem like it. The same with St. Augustine.

I had heard that Marijana was on a plane before and someone said, I am safe because this plane can’t crash with you on it. You need to be alive to reveal the secrets. She said, that wasn’t necessarily true. I thought that was in he book, but I could be wrong.

Yes, I think this was Mirjana objecting to the notion that she was untouchable/completely safe from death before the secrets begin. I think it comes more from her humility than from her thinking she may not be alive when they begin.
