    Linda;

Thanks for taking the time to explain.

I do have a question: did your spiritual director have any comment about that particular message?

    Keeping you in prayer -

    Linda,

Thanks for your honesty and answer on the popes. I am reminded that the children at Fatima, Garabandal, Medjugorjie, etc. did not know their catechism either. Maybe Glenn can correct me on that one. Anyways, any further clarification on the lack of emphasis on Pope Francis would be greatly appreciated.

I just got back from spending a great day with my family and am glad you posted Linda. I must tell you that I am at peace with most everything that I have read in your messages. I am in full agreement with what Phillip said in his posts above. Miker quoted a bunch of the Catechism, which I also read prior to my post. However, I did not find anything in his post that clarified my concerns with the highlighted 'red' sentences.

I am also happy that you tried to further expand on those few sentences in question. I can see your humility and desire to understand them better yourself. You seem to have an open dialog with our Lord and our Lord seems to desire to provide clarification to you in your questions to him. Perhaps he will provide further clarification for us, who remain uncertain on the sentences in question. For me, it is not a bright red flag, but a yellow with red hew (caution) flag until I can better understand. I am no theologian, but one gift I feel I have is to see unclear language in reference to doctrine. That is why these few sentences stuck out immediately to me, because it is language I have not heard before. God Bless, and be assured of my prayers.

The girls in Garabandal were alittle different story because of their age. They were 12 year old simple mountain people, and if you remember, they didn't even know how to say a rosary (Mary had to teach them ),and they certainly had very little understanding of the Catechism or the events as they were happening. Some things took years to unravel before they understood why.

The things I notice immediately about Linda is that unlike MDM, she is open about her identity, she is open to church scrutiny and for that matter our scrutiny, and she exhibits no desire to convince anyone to absolutely believe in her messages, and she excepts the burden of these messages (and the ridicule that goes with it ) even though she may not understand every word. Did the children of Fatima, Garabandal, Medjugorie, St. Bernadette (of Lourdes) understand everything, and be able to explain it ? So I will give her the benefit of the doubt for now and continue to pray for myself to discern and understand, and pray for her also.

Phillip - I've missed your voice on the forum!!!

I'm also struggling with keeping myself from falling down rabbit holes on the internet. (By the grace of God, I've already weaned off of cable news.:)) My goal is to stick with this forum, and maybe another site or two. I've also tried to fast from online time, and I do better some days than others. My goal is to limit my internet usage to Sundays. We'll see...

I too have had an apparition, locutions etc... This makes me believe other's experiences probably easier than most since it happened to me. My rosary turned gold right away, along with dozens of other supernatural events in my life, so much so that I came to expect the supernatural more than normal LOL! Anyway, thank goodness Jesus led me right to the Carmelites and gave me much interior knowledge of the Church, which I was able to confirm with the the Catechism and the scriptures. As I have said before here, even if Jesus told me to, I would be extrememly cautious about publishing messages. I was given permission to tell my initial apparition and message by my Provincial in the Carmelites, but there is absolutely nothing new in that message about the sacrament of Marriage. There are so many of these out there now that I'm starting to think it can cause much confusion. I love the idea of God trying to get mankind to "wake up!" however there is SO much danger of teaching the wrong thing and leading people astray in all these, especially those that do not know their faith very well. This is how many sects have started, by a human supposedly receiving "urgent" revelations. Anyway, Linda must live out her mission for God as do the rest of us, and I give her credit for bravely facing the critics and revealing herself. I probably won't read all of the messages, as I can see there are some grave questions, and time is not something I have alot of with my rule and prayer life. I am glad we all have each other for discernment and help in all these things, and some very helpful spiritual direction we can all give to each other.

    Hi Kathy,
Thank you for your prayers. I have left a message for him but have not heard back yet. I plan to ask him about the entire piece. He is very helpful and has allayed some of my fears when I have heard things that alarmed me. I will keep you posted for sure.

I would advise Linda that in future you run all your messages past your Spiritual Director before posting.

I advise you especially raise to him the concerns expressed on the forum before anything else, especially the section concerning the death of Christ.

I further advise you close down your internet site before he clears everything.

I admit I am gravely concerned about all this....

    Hello again, everyone,

I appreciate all of your insights and direction and feedback (and I am now surviving on Pepto and Tums! :) . I am very happy to have others who have strong knowledge of the Catholic Church and its teachings reading these messages. That is always my worry - what if the words are not God's words? What if I am being used or attacked in order to mislead others at some point? I'd rather be questioned than not. To lead others astray is a horrible sin. So please, keep reading and point out anything that alarms you (or makes you happy).

Carmel333, I did discuss that issue with a priest (that is, new sects coming out and focusing on the wrong thing - like the miracles as opposed to God and His message). I admit, reading what you said scared me because the priest said people are making up their own religions (in his words) all of the time and while they seem to be in line with Catholicism, they really are not focusing on the right thing. The only thing I can/would do is not join or not support that sort of group and be very vocal about not supporting it. I see that it does happen and people do go in for that sort of thing. I also know I don't want to confuse anyone. I never thought working for God would be so scary. Being laughed at, I can handle. But leading people astray...??

If you read today's message, you will have seen that God answered my question about Benedict and Francis. In essence, He told me it was none of my beeswax! His love is very indulgent, so please don't get the idea that He was mean or angry. He was just telling me that it wasn't something I needed to worry about. He answers questions when I am confused. I don't always understand the answers until weeks later, but He probably enjoys that too.

Well, that is all for now. Thanks for hearing me out and again for your insights and feedback.

    God bless everyone!
    Linda

PS: Padraig, I don't know if I am the person you hope I was/am, but take heart regardless. God is beautiful, amazing, great, and wonderful. If He is guiding you, how can you go wrong?! :)

Padraig, I do and will. I do not wish to cause concern. In the meantime, because I don't know how to shut down the site without deleting everything, I will delete the pieces in question. Oh Padraig, my stomach is dropping. This is not what was meant to happen. I am taking care of it at once.

Hi Linda. I know exactly how you feel I think. Mine all started in 1997. I hadn't been to Church in years, cradle catholic but no faith. I was a very 90s woman and proud of it  . I did a complete turn around in my life, my thoughts, my values. My family was horrified and thought I was some sort of freak:D. I was shouting it from the rooftops evangelizing, and wish I were more like that now. I do usually talk about God in every conversation, and many people see my brown scapular and bring up God and their faith. My suggestion to you is to read the Diary of St Faustina. WONDERFUL book and Jesus asked her also to write down messages. She had many stumbling blocks and Jesus always made her be obediant to the Church and her superiors first. Then, HE worked the miracles to get her messages out. Anyway, I think you will not only greatly enjoy the book, but may help you to make some sense of your mission and what you are being called to. God Bless!

  12. I haven't had the time to read much in the forum recently but while perusing new threads these bold type paragraphs jumped up -particularly the last line I've highlighted in red.

Maybe I'm missing the context or something, but even though Heaven is always telling as to not to be afraid, Jesus, the Gospels, or any saint in the Church whatsoever has ever pronounced in the name of God that we will not suffer. Suffering is never spared to a Christian because it is another name for the Cross and there is no salvation without the Cross. God didn't take Jesus down the Cross nor does take us down the Cross -or suffering. But God always give us the grace to endure, suffer, overcome, remain faithful, or even to find joy and triumph over suffering.

I just want to offer a little note of caution as it seems that this site quoted here has been almost canonized by acclamation already.

    Beautiful and thanks. Trust.

Blesséd Children, times come that will be difficult for many. Prepare yourselves with much prayer. Food will not help you. Large homes will not help you. Money will not help you. Politicals or politicians will not help you.

    Then I think you've misunderstood.

We've invited Linda to this forum, and have the rare opportunity to ask her questions directly. She's opened herself up to our scrutiny, which is a brave thing to do, considering the sharp elbows that are sometimes thrown here.

I think it's also important to remember this: as well as being a possible recipient of locutions from the Lord, she has joined our community. We all have the opportunity to offer her hospitality and whatever wisdom is at our disposal.

That sentence you highlighted in red is a big red flag to me,...Jesus embraced the cross of suffering and as followers if we are to follow Him will do the same.
I hope Linda has a very good spiritual director as nothing should be said or done without great discernment.

I will keep Linda in my prayers. I think she has a good heart. Many of her messages are beautiful, others, like today's are incoherent in places.

What Our Lord said to Alexandrina De Costa about suffering,..'
My daughter, suffering is the key to Heaven. I have endured so much to open Heaven to all mankind, but for many it was in vain. They say "I want to enjoy life, I have come into the world only for enjoyment." They say "Hell does not exist." I have died for them, and they say they did not ask Me to do so. They have formed heresies against Me. In order to save them, I select certain souls and lay the cross on their shoulders. Happy the soul who understands the value of suffering! My cross is sweet if carried for love of Me... I chose you from your mother's womb. I watch over you in your great difficulties. It was I who chose them for you, that I might have a victim to offer me much reparation. Lean on my Sacred Heart and find therein strength to suffer everything.'

  19. Thanks for the information, Kathy , and welcome to the forum, Linda! :)

However, in my opinion, being a member of our forum has nothing to do whatsoever with the discernment about messages or locutions a person claims to be receiving; neither to the possibility of commenting/replying posts in any thread of the forum.

If I'm not mistaken, MDM was a member of this forum for a while, so this might not be indicative of anything. And of course I welcome this and every other member of the forum with the same respect and appreciation.

I just wonder what I'm supposed to have misunderstood -meaning what might be wrong with my post- I just expressed my opinion in all due respect inviting clarification. Godsmessagesforus as a member can very well do that, I don't think she needs to be protected or shielded in any way.

    Maybe I'm again misunderstanding something?

    Peace!

I am sorry Linda that my message last night was a little curt. It was alte and I was getting to bed. I should have couched it more charitably and in a more caring way.

I am convinced you are a very good humble person . It seems to me that God calls us all to grow in love and if I ever get to heaven myself it will not be for never having made mistakes.

Not the least of which was a loss of objectiivity when I first read a few of your messages. As 'Woman Clothed with the Sun ' mentioned I went far to over board in accepting them without properly studying them properly. Or indeed studying them all at all. I just really glanced at a few. But as I say of God ever lets me into heaven it will not be for having been infallible. A lesson learnt I hope.

There is an old Irish Legend of the , 'Will of the Wisp' which appears at evening time to seduce the unwary traveller across the bog in a short cut. In a way such things as this are like the Will of the Wisp. The best place for the traveller to be at such times is on the firn rock of a good Spiritual Director. Simply submit yourself to his direction and you will be always on firm ground.

Praying for you at mass this morning,

You are a good humble Catholic,

My thoughts and prayers are with you,

May you always stand on solid ground,

    God bless,

    Padraig
