I feel I have committed an unforgivable sin and that God is angry with me and that I am damned. I was at Mass earlier and felt a very good connection with God during it but I'm worried again
Poor Peter . I doubt very much if you have ever done a tenth of the bad things I have ever done in my life. My Spiritual Director said to me one time after my conversion that he wondered how I could ever sleep at night. I quoted him Isaiah, _Even if your sins be red as scarlet I will make them white as snow'. We have God's promise which is that of the Church. God through the Church and Scripture do not lie.
Don't listen to Satan. Pray to blind Satan. Ó Lady spread the grace of the Flame of Love over Sanctus and all humanity.
God is delighted when we have absolute trust in his unfathomable divine mercy. I plead Gods divine mercy on my judgement day. Oh Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a fountain of mercy for us, I trust in you.
You know the film, ' Jesus of Nazareth ', was filmed in the South of Italy, by a British crew. At the scene were Jesus preached the Beatitudes, everyone on the very large set, cameramen included, began to cry and we're very much moved. But I know of no accounts of any conversions, including that of Simon Powell the guy who played Jesus. He never converted either. There is a lesson in that somewhere.
Yes, very well put. Next year will be our tenth anniversary. A good time to renew our marriage vows. I tried to get my wife to do it this year (April) but failed. Anyway, the other day we got blessed as a couple by a Priest from our parish. A start....
Thanks Agnes. I'm wondering have I done something to offend God. I try and offer my suffering up for souls
Send those evil thoughts right back to the "sender". Ask your Guardian Angel to help you deflect them right back into the abyss from whence they came......and sing praises to the Lord ~
Romans 8:31-39 What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else? Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
