This makes much sense to me....If one is constantly seeking out "what's next", especially out of fear, one could easily miss God's call in the here and now.
I couldn't agree more. Xavier is unfortunately being used y Fr Rodrigue to spread his false prophecies. And in turn xavier is now using well known and well meaning catholic influences to spread these false messages. It's very harmful
The terms "period", "era" and "time" have equivalent words in Portuguese ("período", "era" and "tempo") and I believe they have a semantic range to the equivalent terms in English. IRMÃ LÚCIA – Memórias da Irmã Lúcia I. 13.ª ed. Fátima: Secretariado dos Pastorinhos, 2007, pp. 206 in https://www.fatima.pt/files/upload/fontes/F002_Memorias1.pdf “[...] O Santo Padre consagrar-me-á a Rússia que se converterá e será concedido ao mundo algum tempo de paz”. "[...] The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, which will be converted and the world will be granted some time of peace." These alleged quotes from Sr. Lúcia are unknown to me.
Thank you so much for this, it really clears a lot up for me. It also fits with what I found. So I am going with it. So if there is an era of peace, and I believe in the possibility, the period of peace mentioned in the Fatima message is not it. The only things I need to work out now are the new heaven and new earth mentioned in Isaiah and Revelation in relation to the "era of peace". Many visionaries mention these two things together, which don't seem to go together. If anyone understands how these two things could fit together please let me know. As I continue to read and investigate, it appears that the rolling up of Heaven and Earth like scrolls, and the creation of new heaven and earth, mark the beginning of the "Era of Peace". It's like the old is wrapped up and done, and the new comes about. The book of Revelation may not be sequential in regards to this matter.
On the other hand, and without wanting to be mean, "some time" is actually a period and could even be a small era... That's why I don't spend much time thinking about it.
I get what you are saying, and I know you are joking a bit. But it doesn't make sense for some time to refer to an era. An era is normally a long time marked by a significant change, containing periods of time. Our Lady is typically very precise. I think the period of peace was conflated with the era of peace, mentioned by other visionaries. So debates regarding whether the consecration was done correctly, or if there were enough first 5 Saturdays, prayers and repentance will continue. As well, if Isaiah and Revelation are referring to the "era of peace", it becomes a whole new realm of exploration regarding Fatima. Another thing to add to this, is that many visionaries reported events that are happening today, long before Fatima.
One of the other issues I am having reconciling is that many of the prophecies Jesus made in the Gospels, and some of the other prophecies in the new testament outside of Revelation seem to be coming to light, regarding the last days. As well, St. Faustina and Sr. Lucia both believed we are in the last days. There is also the prophecy from blessed Carlos Acutis' mother which says "God will fulfill all prophecy" once he is canonized. Then there is the implication from many seers that the "era of peace" is marked by the creation of a "new heaven and earth". I am beginning to wonder, is if it possible, that the thousand years that Satan is chained up and locked up in the abyss, is actually a short period of time. Because sequentially Satan should be over and done with by the time the "new heaven and earth" come about. We also know that a 1000 years is like a day and a day like a 1000 years to the Lord. I am going to be doing some more investigating today regarding this. It also doesn't make sense for everything to be wrapped up like a scroll, for God to renew the face of the earth, only to have Satan come back and destroy it again. Also, just to add one thing. Our Lady said "In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph". We know Our Lady is the New Eve, the woman who crushes the head of Satan. If She has triumphed, why would Satan be let out for a bit of time. Especially when she said in the end. The end would mean the war is over, Satan has lost and is done with. It would also make sense that the "era of peace" would begin once She has triumphed. If anyone has any insight regarding this, as to why this isn't possible please let me know. Not trying to debate just trying to get some clarity.
The Church Father's taught that the Church was given 1000 years to flourish. According to Malachi Martin. From 50o AD to 1500 A D. And then Satan was loosed. Makes sense. The Protestant rebellion and the enlightenment and then modernism. We may be closer to the end than we think..
This also makes a lot of sense. Because it sure seems like the devil is on the loose right now. The only problem I see with this is that Satan is chained up only once Babylon has fallen. At least sequentially it is a problem. Thank you for the heads up regarding Malachi Martin and the church fathers, I will definitely be looking into it. I am beginning to believe that we are in fact much closer than we think. There is some stuff in Zachariah and Isaiah I have to review again regarding the final battle.
I love your questions! Keep asking! You verbalize some of the things I also ponder but am unable to articulate!
I think part of the reason the questions can be hard to articulate is because we don't feel capable of doing this kind of investigation into scripture, so we don't even bother to formulate the questions. It's like a feeling of inadequacy. We think we need some kind of phd on the bible and visionaries or something. But it isn't true, God reveals what He wants to whom He wants. The messages are for everyone, the same with the Bible. I also have realized that no one is going to investigate this for me. Sam Shamoun is the best resource I have found when it comes to comprehending scripture. He says all the time that we need to ask the Holy Spirit for help in understanding all of this. So this is what I do, I ask the Holy Spirit for help every night in understanding what is actually going on in terms of scripture, visions and connecting it all. Many of the messages visionaries get connect directly to scripture, so it is my belief that they reflect each other.
So I found something regarding which I believe is referring to what you are saying. Late medieval interpreters such as Alexander Minorita (d. 1271) and Peter Olivi (1248–98) speculated that the thousand years refers to the Church's ascendancy that began with the conversion of Constantine in the early fourth century, and would end with the release of satan in the fourteenth century. The occurrence of the Great Western Schism (1348–1417) and the bubonic plague (1346–53), called the Black Death, confirmed this interpretation in the eyes of some. https://www.askacatholic.com/_WebPostings/Answers/2022_08AUG/2022AugWhatAboutTheMillennialReign.cfm But it has been 600 - 700 years, which isn't a short time. But... satan did ask God for power over the last hundred years and God granted it. This seems like it could be interpreted as a loosening. As well, I have to ask the question, why is God allowing satan to be loosed? The only answer that makes sense to me, is because God wants to create the opportunity for Our Lady to crush his head, fulfilling the prophecy of Genesis. I am not sure she can do that fairly if he is chained up in the abyss when She does it. Satan would cry foul.
Does anyone here think the "short time" that Satan is released for in Revelation 20 is also the same "short time" as mentioned in Revelation 12?
Thanks, I was just checking if anyone knew anything. I know that all of Revelation is based on clues from other parts of scripture, so I figured this might be another clue. For anyone interested, Sam Shamoun has done a 4 part series on Revelation 12. Mar Emmanuel has gone through the first 19 chapters. That being said, it is something like 200 hours of lectures. But what I have seen of them both so far has been amazing.
