I've never watched him at all. Can't say why..... But I think one thing to be very careful of is falling into the trap of the "prodigal son's brother"........
I don't trust Fr Rodrigue. I like xavier but I think fr Rodrigue has him completely duped. Hope I'm wrong.
There certainly is something disquieting about Fr. Rodrigue, however; in this video Father is asking for participation in a novena to Our Lady, for world peace. Nevertheless, you are wise to discern that there is something that is not quite right. I've been visiting this forum since 2011, and it seems that every few years there is always a new seer that catches our attention, with messages from Our Holy Mother, or Our Lord. Some turn out to be false, some are still open to discernment, or in development. And then there are the many which have been approved, like Fatima and Akita. And lately there are some which were once accepted but now rescinded by the Church, like Our Lady of All Nations. Apparently, Xavier Ayral, truly believes in Fr. Rodrigue's messages. As he promotes him in his book.
I think we feel that way towards him because everything he says is to bizarre to believe. The reason we may feel that way about him is because what he says sounds so bizarre. But here we are today watching a WWIII beginning.
Everyone who follows Medugorje knew as soon as the message for June 15th was revealed what is coming down the line. Everyone. Including the Father. It was the easiest thing in the world for him just on jump on board with a message of his own. Any one of us could have done the exact same thing. It is called piggy backing. I am profoundly disquieted by the man's constant great drama and attention seeking. Xavier Aryal is just as bad for letting the wool be pulled over his eyes and promoting this ghastly stuff.
By the way Father Michele very recently said that France is just about to declare war on Russia dragging the rest of the world into World War 3, causing fear, not to say terror to many, many thousands of poor Catholics throughout the World. I hope when this doesn't happen people will recall yet another of his failed prophecies and the immense harm he had done and dump the guy and Xavier along with him. It is an awful thing to be terrifying poor people half to death like this this.
I agree that is very suspect that Fr. Rodrigue suddenly has an apparition once the novena began. I get the sense that Fr. Rodrigue may be genuine but his mind may get the best of him. So I give him the benefit of the doubt that he is well intended. As well, Xavier has a penchant for french people and MJJ, so it does not surprise me that he supports a prophecy from a Quebecois where France attacks first. That being said, I also appreciate a lot of the work Xavier has done in promoting many apparitions through his book. I would rather see people promoting apparitions than not. Personally I do not give much weight to this message, also because it is another message which seems to follow media talking points.
I think what happened was Father Michele heard about Medugorje and his imagination ran away with itself. In this case the false apparition and its promotion by Xavier will do immense harm.
It may, but at the same time more harm comes from not promoting. Discernment is necessary. Personally I use the shelf approach, I keep all of these messages on the shelf instead of throwing them away. As certain things come to pass I take those messages off the shelf. When they don't I throw them away. I agree that this is likely a false apparition.
I should also add that there are a couple other things that throw me off if I am being honest. One is that many of these people have a financial interest by promoting messages, in that they sell materials. Xavier has his book, and M&R sells merchandise and takes donations. There is nothing wrong with this, but at the same time there is an interest in promoting sensational messages for financial gain. Another is the way Xavier was kind of grooming those who hosted him in regards to Fr. Rodrigue's messages. Constantly complimenting them and calling them captains and such. If the messages are authentic, they speak for themselves and will silence the majority of critics. I also found it weird that Monique, who hadn't been seen in a while, suddenly shows up with Xavier in Montana. With no real explanation for it.
Indeed, Pax Prima, selling fear, either directly or indirectly, has become a cottage industry in recent years. One must remember that initially Father Rodrigue brought attention to some very scary predictions during his talks in California, where he shared his thoughts about the necessity of building refuges for the upcoming conflagration.
But I also remember that he did speaking tours in the US without his Bishop’s knowledge, for months. And he toured with John Leary, whose messages were ruled to be not of supernatural origin. I haven’t been able to get past that.
We have previously discussed Fr Rodrigue at length on this forum, so I won't stir up old issues. I also find it interesting that Fr.Rodrigue suddenly appeared with these warnings immediately following Our Lady's recent request for prayer at 11:30 pm in Medjugorge, and now this Montana video.
Those are the speaking tours that he did in California. I wonder why he picked California to share his visions. Although, it is common for well-known figures to visit other churches to raise funds for their mission back home. It was after this that his story begins to get very controversial, particularly the coincidence that you point out Heavenly Hosts, and the most surprising that his Bishop was not aware he had left his parish to conduct these international travels, and that he was scaring the heck out of the participants about the coming WWIII. Too many questions are left unanswered, too many inconsistencies, this is very troubling, and as several of you have pointed out there is a coincidental factor at play. --- After just seeing the Medjugorje thread, whether one believes in Father Rodrigue's recent vision, or the recent messages at Medjugorje, a novena to Our Lady for Peace is nothing to ignore. It does not take a prophet to see that the world is in deep distress.
One of the things regarding refuges that no one ever seems to bring up is 2 Peter 2:4-8. In fact I recommend reading the whole chapter. 2 Peter 2 4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) Essentially St. Peter is saying Angels are going to protect us in times of chastisement, if God deems it. People who are building refuges might think they are like Noah, but Noah received directions directly from God. Just as God didn't need David to build Him a temple, or even a house to live in. God doesn't need us to build refuges.
I think the root of all False Visions is pride. In this case to be thought special, holy, apart, to get lot of admiring attention. There was a funny story told about St John of the Cross one time. I think it went like this: Father John was summoned to a Convent were a nun was supposed to be having visions of the Blessed Virgin. On meeting the nun he asked, 'Are you the saint?' When she nodded Saint John said, 'No you're not !' and walked away leaving the nun with her mouth open. I heard another story about a wealthy lady in Rome who used to give loads of money to the poor and everyone regarded her as a saint. After she died however they found she had left a pile of money to aid her canonisation process. So that was the end of that. The Orthodox have a wonderful spiritual tradition called, 'Fools for Christ', which we don't have in the West 1 Corinthians 4:10 We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored! Basically the person of prayer deflects people having a high opinion of them by acting the idiot. I think there is a lot to be said for it.
Thanks, but I give credit to St. Peter I would also argue, to an extent, that building refuges is a lack of faith.
