Yep. First thought same as yours: who didn't see this coming?

The Church of Christ (or those pretending to be) blessing sodomy and giving the 'two fingers' to God and to His faithful. What do they think this will gain them? And the narcissism of these sodomites. They revel in making a show of themselves.

Sometimes I wonder if it is a kind of exultation of evil. A fierce delight in shaking their fists at God. When you are your own god I suppose there must be hatred for the One who claims all worship. The Ancient of Days enthroned upon the cherubim and seraphim must really gall them.
    Terrifying.
Blessed be the Name of God most high now and forever. To Him be all glory. Amen.

"the heretical Jesuit priest Fr. Martin has propped up fellow Jesuit Fr. Richard Clifford as a biblical expert who claims the sin of Sodom was one of inhospitality toward immigrant foreigners rather than the sin of homosexuality."

It is interesting that in this book, written in 1907, the pope who reigns during the time of the antichrist is called John xxiv, and at the time there was not even a pope called John xxiii, and Pope Francis sometimes says, in a joking tone, that His successor will be called John xxiv, perhaps because the work " Lord of the World" is his favorite book, he sometimes tries to make a reference, or perhaps because he thinks that the church will face the ascension of the new world order soon.

It is not implausible that there are homosexualists who realise that the excesses of gender ideology represent a threat to their project of normalisation, through the genderists' obscenity and insanity provoking a counter- reaction against the whole LGBTetc campaign. It is also not implausible that this might be the viewpoint of the ruling homosexualist junta in the Vatican.

If Francis' successor takes the name 'John', let's hope that it will represent a return to tradition. For all his faults, Pope John XXIII bears far less responsibility for the problems induced by VII than Paul VI or Francis I.

I even think it is quite likely that the next pope will adopt the name John XXIV, after all Fiducia Supplicans represented a disaster for post-Vatican II ecumenism, with Coptic Christians breaking ecumenical dialogue with us and strong criticism coming from the Russian Orthodox Church. After a possible schism, the Johannine motto “may they all be one” can acquire a connotation of urgency, internal to our own Church.

    JOHN 17:20-22
20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.

Apparently the term "deaconesses in the spirit" comes from an early Christian treatise Didascalia Apostolorum.
"Appoint a woman for the ministry of women. For there are homes to which you cannot send a deacon to their women, on account of the heathen, but you may send a deaconess ... Also in many other matters the office of a deaconess is required."The bishop should look on the man who is a deacon as Christ and the woman who is a deaconess as the Holy Spirit, denoting their prominent place in the church hierarchy.

I didn't find within the document where it said "deaconesses in the spirit". As well, do not know how accurate the document I found is. I also have no idea if the German deaconesses will only be ministering to women, which seems to be the role they were originally given according to Didascalia Apostolorum.

Prayers. There is not really anything we can do about these things as laypeople but pray and leave it all in the Hands of God. I do feel for Faithful German Catholics though it must be agonising for them. At the time of the Protestant rebellion in Germany it was very common for Catholic Archbishops and Bishops to become Protestant and indeed entire Dioceses and Archdioceses to switch and become Protestant. So I suppose there is nothing really new in any of this.

None of us will go to hell for what other people do. So we will just have to pray for them and leave them to it.

Though not ordained as deaconesses, it seems that is where they are headed

Bishop Ludger Schepers, the pro-LGBT auxiliary bishop of Essen, ‘commissioned’ 13 women who completed a training program with the ‘Women’s Diaconate Network,’ a heterodox group that promotes women’s ‘ordination.’

UPDATE: This report has been updated to include a statement from German bishops conference spokesmen on Bishop Bätzing’s link with the event and Bishop Schepers’.

ESSEN, Germany (LifeSiteNews) — Thirteen German women have been “commissioned” as “deacons in the spirit” by a local bishop following a three-year “female deacons” training plan, in an event praised by the president of the German bishops’ conference.

    • On April 13, the auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Essen, Bishop Ludger Schepers, commissioned 13 women who had completed a three and a half year training program with the “Women’s Diaconate Network.” The Franciscan community of Waldbreitbach who hosted the event described the women as being commissioned as “deacons in the spirit.”

Schepers celebrated a Mass and certificate-awarding ceremony for the 13 women in his capacity as a long-standing friend and supporter of the movement. The bishop has a long history of heterodoxy and was the first German Catholic bishop to attend a homosexual “blessing” in 2022. He was recently appointed by the German bishops as the first “commissioner for queer pastoral care.”

In his homily, which he delivered jointly with Sister Edith-Maria Magar, the superior of Waldbreitbach, he called for the recognition of women as deacons. A summary of his words stated that he “emphasized that women are also called. Women rightly felt discriminated against in the Church and excluded with their calling.”

READ: Head of German Franciscans defends homosexuality and transgenderism, attacks Catholic teaching

According to the report by the local Franciscan group, Schepers is “angry that this imbalance is not seen as a grievance that needs to be remedied.”

For her part, Sr. Magar stated that the event “should not be underestimated as a political sign, the graduates are very happy about it.”

The nun criticized how “unlike men, they cannot expect to be ordained as deacons, and only because they are women.”

    Poor people, prayers tonight.

I bet if I were to ask the ladies and the Bishop these questions this would be the answer.:

Do you believe Artificial Contraception is wrong? No.

Do you believe abortion is wrong? It depends.

Do you believe sodomy is wrong? Not if love is involved.

Do you believe sex outside marriage is wrong? Not if love is involved

Do you believe in divorce? It depends.

Do you believe in women priests. Yes.

Do you believe in hell? No.

....and on and on and on. Whatever feels good, whatever feels right.

Big pink, sweet smelling puffy clouds wafting out from Germany....millions of miles of pink smiling clouds.
