It's no question a time of great confusion, which was foretold. Only question is how are we best to respond. I'm just not sure constantly criticizing good priests and bishops as soon as they don't do what we think they should is the right response...schism can come from both sides of the aisle. And I don't want to be a part of any such schism even of it appears we are on the "correct" side.
I will add him to my prayer list Jo. So many beloved sons we share who all need our prayers. May Our Lady purify and sanctify these cries from the heart and bring them all home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus..
Something is coming......imho, whatever it is, the whole "vaxxed vs unvaxxed" trial will look like a picnic in the park in comparison.......& this FS controversy seems geared to wear people down even more - at what should be the most wonderful time of the year.......
I hadn't thought about Father for awhile, but a couple of weeks ago when I kissed my brown scapular an image of Fr. Blount immediately came to mind. I can explain it, but I knew that Our Lady and St. Benedict were prompting me to pray for him. I hope we hear from him soon.
I have this feeling we won’t. He told us what was ahead after the pandemic. He said there is to be 2 more events that will shake the world. And he informed us that he knows who the Antichrist is. His current silence may be because the events are coming soon.
Well, 1 event which shook the world was the October 7th massacre by Hamas, and another event which shook (at least the Catholic) World was the release of this Document.
The logic of this is that we should do a bad thing (permit the blessings of Sodomite couples) in order to achieve a good end (the prevention of Schism). This is not Catholic Moral Theology . As St Alphonsus Liguori a Doctor of the Church if by telling one lie we could save the world we should not do so. We must never do a bad thing to achieve a good end. This perennial teaching of the Church was reaffirmed by Pope Saint John Paul in the document , 'Vertitatis Splendor' https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/veritatis-splendor-defeats-new-morality-10407 "If the object of the concrete action is not in harmony with the true good of the person, the choice of that action makes our will and ourselves morally evil, thus putting us in conflict with our ultimate end, the supreme good, God Himself" (p. 89, the official English text, Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 1993).
The idea that we cannot correct priests, Bishops, Cardinals and Popes who teach public arrant heresy because it is not nice to do so is mistaken. The greatest charity we can present such unfortunates and those who give them ear is to present them with the gift of the Truth. In either case if they putting forward heresy they are clearly not, 'Good' by definition, heretics and heresy not being , 'Good'.
This act of God is amazing, profound and edifying. God is obviously speaking to us. He is using the natural world (if man will not exclaim the truth than the very rocks will speak) Luke 19:28-40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” I also recognise the caution God gives in this lightening strike communication. The statue remains intact! Its only the keys and the halo that have been removed. The church remains but without its authority and with seeming spiritual abandonment. “Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? ' 'My God, my God, why have Thou Abandoned me? ' We (the body) follow our head, Our Lord Jesus Christ. His spotless bride, the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, enters the praetorium. We (the church) are at the second station and are about to be made to bear our cross. This glorious cross is ours! Yours and mine! Let us kiss this cross as Our saviour did! God Bless us all. Amen
