There was a time when I thought that a select number of Freemasonry members around the world knew who the individual was who would take on the role of Antichrist; however, today I think that they will see the fulfillment of the prophecies in him when specific signs emerge around his ministry in the world. In my opinion, there will be something diametrically opposite to the Sign of the White Dove in the Baptism of Our Lord by the hands of Saint John the Baptist.

I never said "the Pope" is the Antichrist. That could never happen. I said, following St. Francis of Assisi, that "an Antipope" is the Antichrist.
Hypothetically since Catholics believe that evil but valid popes can exist, is it possible a Catholic pope could be the false prophet, the anti John the Baptist, who appears just before the anti-Christ?

No, Sunnyveil. A true Pope is not the False Prophet/Antichrist. An invalid, unlawfully-elected papal claimant is the False Prophet/Antichrist. Daniel 11 mentions him: 21 And there shall stand up in his place one despised, and the kingly honour shall not be given him: and he shall come privately, and shall obtain the kingdom by fraud.
Let’s be truthful here, this Pope is quite an enigma. I believe in the prophecy that Antichrist will fool even the elect. Who could fool the “elect”? Not someone from a Jewish background. The end times is about the Catholic Church, and not the land of Israel. I think it’s quite possible Antichrist may very well be inside the Vatican. If the evil one can infiltrate the Vatican, and sit on the seat of Peter, he can rule the world. The last straw for me with this Pope was his affectionate meeting with Bill Clinton. I was sickened.
Protestants may get a lot wrong, but their zeal for Christ is evident worldwide. They are growing in numbers. Instead, we are losing our faith. God has a way of teaching us humility. He may be using his Protestant children to wake us up. A Pope who preaches in a confusing way only discredits our religion. I think this is what is meant when prophecy says, that our Church will be going through the passion. What comes first in the Bible is the unity of all Christian Churches. Maybe that’s the focus of the end times. The end of the world may be when the conversion of the Jews occurs, but that’s not now. I don’t think.
Yes. Although I wonder since the anti Christ is the mirror opposite of Jesus in everything ,would his forerunner, his John the Baptist, so to speak not also have to be Jewish. Also the 12 Disciples he gathers around him as his, 'Apostles', would they not have to be Jewish too? Also of course the Anti Christ is to be Born in the Holy land. I would say quite a lot of present and recent World Leaders have characteristics of show shadows of the anti Christ. Justin Trudeau in Canada, or Barrack Obama in the USA are good examples of this. Charismatic, rich, good looking, smart, young and totally ammoral.

I think people tend to assign the AntiChrist role to whatever public figure that is popular, rich, and against Christ which of course can amount to thousands in this day and age. But we need to remember that this person would not only fool the religion haters and atheists, but ALSO the very faithful like us if we are not on our guard. I don't think any human whatever their station could do this. I believe it would HAVE to be a "new" creature, introduced to us as our creator, and who came to us to " Testify to the Truth" as Christ did when He told Pontius Pilate why He came here when His Kingdom was not from this world. In other words, an Alien, who is beautiful to our eyes, capable of defying natures laws causing miracles, and who claims to come to us to tell us the Truth about who we are, why we are here, and what is expected of us, etc... This beautiful all powerful alien who is kind to us, claims to want to help us in all things, and tells us all what we want to hear, is exactly the sort of power that could definitely bewitch not only the lonely, poor, addicts, sinners who don't want to give up their sin, but world powers who crave new technology and success in their countries. Many , many Catholics today pooh-pooh the strict teachings of the Church regarding things as sexuality, birth control, divorce, modest dressing, fasting, hell, punishment, Confession, etc.. etc... These are the people without discipline or loyalty to Christ who will definitely shed their religion and hop on board the Anti Christ train. So personally, I think it will be demons posing as Aliens who will come and seduce this world. We are already being prepared for them..... '

Revelation 13 says that the false prophet exercises all the authority of the beast in his presence; I believe this seems to indicate that the false prophet will imitate Moses, who exercised God's authority before the people and the elders (various religious leaders today?). Another point of opposition between them would be the power of the false prophet to make humanity worship the image of the beast. I believe that just as Moses came down the holy mountain bringing the tables of the law, the false prophet will bring death decrees to anyone who does not worship the image of the beast and follow his commandments.

There’s only one true religion and leader. And the False Church is already here. The Synod is a good example of it.
