Feeling very disturbed and under attack spiritually tonight. Could do with prayers. Experienced a very bad spiritual attack earlier. It was horrible. I dont know what or whether it is coming from God or from the evil one.
IMHO God does not bring spiritual attacks. He may permit it for a season but He is Love and Compassion and Mercy . "He is close to the broken hearted and the crushed in spirit He saves" ( psalm 34)
Still experiencing strange feelings and darkness and thinking God is angry with me but doing my best.
You are in my prayers Peter. This suffering united to Jesus has HUGE meaning and efficacy even though you cannot see it. He is using it. Mary Our Mother is with you.
Is it possible to find a priest or Bishop to pray deliverance prayers for you? On Sept 18 Monsignor Rossetti - Saint Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal will be praying. You would have to google it and Register before. Praying!
I still get the feeling that God is angry with me over my faults but I am asking him for help and telling Him I'm sorry and saying the divine mercy chaplet and miracle prayer.
REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. with hands on head pray: "In the name of Jesus, I command the demons of hopelessness to leave." Amen
I opened up the Missal tonight wondering about the suffering I'm going through and saw the scripture where it says that "God treats you as one of His sons "and how "he disciplines those who He loves"and how this can be uncomfortable when it is happening but to "raise your limp limbs and carry on." I forget exactly what reading it was but it is something to that effect. It is encouraging either way.
I love the story of St Teresa of Avila. One time she was travelling ina cart to found a new Carmel , it was raining heavily, the cart got stuck in the mud and she got out to push. She wound out flat on her face covered in filth. She complained toJesus about this and He replied , 'It is thus I try my friends '. To which St Teresa of Avila replied, 'Little wonder then that you have so few friends then!'
St Teresa also said that from the viewpoint of heaven life will seem like only a night spent in a bad hotel. St Paul also said that all we endure in this present life is not be compared to the treasures of the life to come. Life reminds me of sitting at a window of a train looking out. As we look ahead we may see great mountains of troubles heading towards us. But the train of life races along. The next time we look out the window they are only speaks in the distance. It is a great lesson to learn not to gaze at the mountains of troubles but at the Cross and the mountain He crawled up to lie there.
