Yes. The first homeowners had a stove. The second owners removed it but left the hearth. The new stoves are more efficient so after our power outage we thought it would be prudent to have this installed. To the left is a door we had installed that goes out to our enclosed porch. So we can store the wood on the porch in the winter. We are in the center of town with an acre of land and a pole barn. We are blessed. Next project is getting the yard fenced in. We have a nice garden spot, established grape arbor, pear tree, raspberries. We are blessed.

Well we have the 10 acres and the well. The modular home is built but waiting on the contractor to prep the site so they can deliver the home to our land and finish it there. The hand pump for the well should be delivered next week.

We drive out to our land about once a week and love it so much there! We've discovered there are plentiful dewberries and blackberries, and there are 3 fruit trees but we don't know what the fruit is yet.

We've ordered our greenhouse which will be delivered in the Fall. We'll have to get our woven wire fence built once we've moved in, which is quite an expense, but necessary for the great pyrenees we'll be getting. Then we've got to build the chicken coop and rows of support for the muscadines we'll be planting in the spring. We have several fruit trees, raspberries, and blueberries planned as well. We'll see how much we're able to accomplish the first year!

But yeah, we're still living in an apartment, trying our best to be patient while the contractor doesn't seem to be in any hurry. God willing, there may be some progress this week!

Yes it is! Every time we're there breathing that fresh air and waving to our farmer neighbors, I have that "pinch me; I must be dreaming" feeling! God is so good.

Pray the St Expeditus Novena with the Pray app
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

    Intro Prayer

    Act of Contrition

Lord Jesus Christ, I am heartily sorry for my sins. Grant me, therefore, pardon of my sins and the grace I ask of You through the merits of the sorrows of Your loving Mother and the virtues of Your martyr, Saint Expeditus.

    Daily Prayer

O Glorious Martyr, St Expeditus, through the lively faith which was granted you by God, I ask you to awaken the same faith in my heart, that I may also believe wholeheartedly that there is God, but most particularly that I may be saved from sinning against Him.

    Concluding Prayer

O Saint Expeditus, my protector, in you I place my hope that my petitions may be granted if they are for my own good.

Please ask Our Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, for the forgiveness of my sins, and the grace to change my life, particularly the grace of (mention request here…) and I promise to follow your example and propagate this devotion to you.

(Now pray three Our Fathers in honor of the Most Holy Trinity.)

He's 11 weeks old, a very healthy baby growing like a weed! As my other babies were, he's super attached to me and won't let me put him down; but even though that makes things harder, I enjoy the special bond and constant snuggles. Right now we're in the preparation phase for his consecration to St. Michael on May 8, so I'm excited for that!
