https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/...cis-russia-ukraine-mary-immaculate-heart.html Pope urges believers to renew consecration of Ukraine and Russia to Mary Speaking during his weekly General Audience in St Peter’s Square on Wednesday, Pope Francis urged believers to renew the consecration of humanity - especially Russia and Ukraine - to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Holy Father’s appeal came almost a year after he first prayed the Act of Consecration, at the annual “24 Hours for the Lord” Lenten penitential service in the Vatican on the 25th March 2022. “An act of complete trust” Pope Francis’ initial consecration of Russia and Ukraine to Mary’s Immaculate Heart was a response, he said, to the war between the two countries. “This is no magic formula,” he explained at the time, “but a spiritual act. It is an act of complete trust on the part of children who, amid the tribulation of this cruel and senseless war that threatens our world, turn to their Mother, reposing all their fears and pain in her heart and abandoning themselves to her.” A renewed appeal This Wednesday, the Pope said that “My thoughts go to the 25th March of last year, when, in union with all the bishops of the world, I consecrated the Church and humanity, especially Russia and Ukraine, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” “Let us not tire of consecrating the cause of peace to the Queen of Peace,” he continued. “I would like to invite every believer and community, especially prayer groups, to renew the Act of Consecration to Our Lady every 25th March, so that she, who is Mother, might preserve us all in unity and peace.” The Pope ended his appeal by remembering "tormented Ukraine", as he has at almost every General Audience since the outbreak of war, and urged his listeners never to forget the country, which, he said, “is suffering very greatly.”
The request in the text is for believers to "renew the consecration of humanity - especially Russia and Ukraine - to the Immaculate Heart of Mary." Why does he not just ask for Russia but inlcude all of humanity and the Ukraine? I don't know but would say that it's because he has a heart, sees that there is a WWIII underway (hence all humanity is caught up in it) and particularly because of the dangers to us all because of that conflict between nations that share same roots. You can be with the Holy Vicar on this one or not, I guess it's up to Catholics of good will to choose what would most please Our Lady on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
..Feast of the Immaculate Conception is actually my birthday . Anyways, I realise the world is in a precarious position, absolutely. However, the lady asked for the consecration of Russia. I just can't comprehend why they didn't do it as asked. I'm not saying the pope doesn't have a heart but neither am I saying that it is up to catholics of goodwill to choose what would best please our lady. I'm merely saying she asked for X. Therefore she should be given X. Maybe I'm looking at it too simplistically. Maybe I'm missing something. I really don't know enough about it to be able to argue the finer points of it. It just seems a simple and straightforward enough request to me. And should be done accordingly. Once done; the popes, the bishops, the clergy, the laity, whoever, can consecrate whatever and wherever they see fit as they wish. But, I believe the actual request of our lady should be undertaken to the letter.
I'm speaking here about the original requestof our lady, a year ago, whence they included Ukraine. And if I remember right, before that JPII consecrated not Russia, but the world. Now, absolutely we should consecrate everything to our lady. But I sometimes wonder why it wasn't done as she originally requested.
"But I sometimes wonder why it wasn't done as she originally requested." You, and a whole lot of other people are wondering the same thing.
We had an exchange in this thread about Jacob and Esau. I thought of those boys when I saw this ultrasound of two babies who appear to be fighting in the womb. https://twitter.com/i/status/1648003025225814016 Frances Hogan has a series on Genesis on Shalom World YT channel. In this week's show, she talks about the whole birthright theft between the two boys and points out how divided the family was: mother and son against the other son and the father. It was a very sad affair which I don't understand completely but thought others might like to watch especially given all the division in families these days.
Our Lady said to Sister Lucia, 'The Pope will do the Consecration, but it will be very late'. I do not think it has been done properly done yet and reading between the lines I do not think Pope Francis thinks it has either. I think his conscience is playing him up. As it should.
The Ruffini Prophecy BYJAMES HANISCH APRIL 18, 2023 4 MINUTE READ 0 COMMENTS If True, the Consecration of Russia May at Last Be Drawing Near. A Modern Mystic and Stigmatist Some of The Fatima Center’s followers are undoubtedly familiar with the prediction made by the Roman mystic and stigmatist, Antonio Ruffini, about when the Consecration of Russia will at last take place. By way of background, Antonio Ruffini was born in Rome on December 8, 1907, the eldest of three sons in a devout Catholic family known for its attentiveness to the poor. His mother died when he was very young. Having only a primary-school education, he learned from an early age to pray with his heart rather than from prayer books. By his report, Our Lord and Our Lady appeared to him for the first time when he was 17 years old. He received the stigmata (open puncture-wounds on his hands and feet) on August 12, 1951, after a vision which took place at a remote fountain along the Via Appia between Rome and Terracina. (Pope Pius XII later authorized the construction of a chapel on the site.) From that time on, Ruffini gave himself entirely to the physical and spiritual assistance of mankind, especially the poor and sick. Having entered the Third Order of St. Francis, he lived a life of eminent sanctity under a vow of obedience, displaying perfect humility in spite of his manifest spiritual gifts (including not only the stigmata, but also bilocation). A further endorsement of the authenticity of Ruffini’s charisms exists in that the noted miracle-worker Father Giuseppe Tomaselli published a biography of him. Antonio Ruffini died at age 92, on a date no less remarkable than that of his birth. Born on the Feast of Our Ladyʼs miraculous Conception, he died on that of Our Lordʼs – March 25, 1999. A Little Known Prophecy Now as to his prophecy about the Consecration of Russia, Ruffini was asked in the early 1990s if Pope John Paul II would ever relent from his refusals and heed Our Lady’s request for that act. He answered: “No, it will not be John Paul II. Neither will it be his immediate successor, but the one after that. He is the one who will consecrate Russia.”[1] In recent years, the meaning of Ruffini’s statement has become more uncertain with the questions surrounding Benedict’s apparent abdication of the papacy and Francis’ claim to it. Nevertheless, either the second legitimate successor to John Paul II is on the papal throne or he will be in the near future.[2] Meanwhile, however, in the absence of Heaven’s decisive intervention (which can only be had through the proper Consecration of Russia), the Mystery of Iniquity is making great strides toward the complete destruction of Christian society. We must maintain hope and continue to apply ourselves to the reparatory devotions which Our Lady of Fatima called for, but we must not entertain illusions about how dire our situation now is. Great suffering, including martyrdom, may well be in our near future. St. Jacinta’s Vision In her Third Memoir, Sister Lucia recorded a vision which Jacinta had witnessed, which Fatima scholars have long understood to be a glimpse of the end-scenario described by Our Lady, in a world and Church tragically devastated by war, hunger, and persecution. In the end, as Our Lady promised, this dark time will yield to Her glorious Triumph. A light will break forth in the long-desired fulfillment of Our Lady’s request for the Consecration of Russia: “At another time, we went to the cave called Lapa do Cabeço. As soon as we got there, we prostrated on the ground, saying the prayers the Angel had taught us. After some time, Jacinta stood up and called to me: ‘Can’t you see all those highways and roads and fields full of people, who are crying with hunger and have nothing to eat? And the Holy Father in a church praying before the Immaculate Heart of Mary? And so many people praying with him?’ [Some days later, Jacinta asked Lucia:] ‘Can I say that I saw the Holy Father and all those people?’ ‘No. Don’t you see that that’s part of the Secret? If you do, they’ll find out right away!’”[3] Given Lucia’s response to her cousin, this vision clearly pertains to the Great Secret of Fatima. It certainly seems reasonable to presume that the event depicted here – presided over by the Holy Father, in a church, before a statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, with many people in attendance – is the long-awaited proper Consecration of Russia. If so, it is likewise reasonable to presume the Consecration will take place in the midst of great famine, a frequent consequence of revolution and war.[4] Let us continue to pray and sacrifice ourselves for this intention, that the Consecration of Russia be accomplished in time to mitigate the full force of imminent wars, famines, mass devastation, and loss of souls. [2] Editor’s Note: We ask the reader to keep in mind that prior to its fulfillment prophecy is difficult to interpret, even if it appears self-evident. On the natural order, issues of language and translation can make them more abstruse. We have Ruffini’s prophecy in English, but that was not his mother tongue. Gruner was told by a source close to Sister Lucia that Our Lady assured her the Third Secret would one day be revealed during the course of a major war. if the highest authority of the Church determines in the future that Francis was an antipope, then there is a possibility that this war in Ukraine will drag on for years or that a world conflict will originate from another hotbed of tension in global geopolitics (all this assuming that the Ruffini's prophecy is authentic).
I don’t think Bergoglio is long for this world. There are very strong rumors out of Rome that his surgery was for cancer. In which case the next pope is not far off. And if he understands prophecy and the state of the world, he will do the Consecration quickly and correctly.
I would not say Pope Francis is an anti Pope, but somehow I think the prophecy skips over him. It will be the next Pope who does it. In very, very different times and circumstances.
I remember the rumors in 2021 that surgery on the intestine was to treat cancer in this organ, you who are a doctor can tell me if he could disguise this without using a colostomy bag ?
It all depends on how extensive the intestinal resection was. Partial resection doesn’t necessarily require a colostomy.
We’ll only know for certain in hindsight, when the Church writes the history of our times. IF the prophecy DOES skip over him, it will seem clear he had been an antipope.
interesting that the fact that his papal name has no numerals and adds nothing to the list of previous papal names seems a prophetic sign of this . I find it strange that when albino luciani was elected pope in 1978, the cardinal dean announced his name with a numeral being that it was an unprecedented name, and in the case of Francis that the same logic applies, no.
Many popes who are the first to use a name are not referred to as the 1st. The fact that John Paul I was introduced as I probably, prophetically, indicates the short short papacy that he would have and that John Paul The Great would be soon coming.
It bears remembering that Our Blessed Lady said that people pay no attention to her requests, 'Neither the good nor the bad'. So it's not just down to the Pipes but the people themselves. The Faithful ignored her requests and still do. Even if a good Pope did do the Consecration her stipulation for the Consecration of Russia would still not be met. I take it that a time will come when Faithful and Pope seeing the Armies of Russia actually move, will fall to their knees. But it's not just a Pope that needs to call to its knees, it's the entire Church. Every single one of us. Also probably Pope Francis has made probably the best attempt at it of any previous Pope. In all fairness to him. But no Pope can do things alone.
