Yes, I agree Brian. I thought to see if the dates line up with the prophecies of Akita but the October blood moon date is 3 days off from the new message. Still 3 days is always significant, I think. The CP’s latest videos are good to watch imho but I think that most things have been mentioned on the forum although he shows that radiation fallout instructions are more prevalent in a lot of places now.

Well, two of my boys are in a Religious Order, so stock piling is not currently on the agenda. Our two youngest consider such prep as either unnecessary or fatalistic. The other two have families: one understands but really doesn't have anywhere to store goods (5 kids, small house), while our middle son's family is on board. But they are faithful Catholics on a different wavelength. I must admit if there is a societal collapse, Geralyn and I would not hoard, so...

I believe that I mentioned this before but I had a conversation with a priest that I consider very holy and wise and while he understood the desire to prepare for the days of “Spit”. He pointed out that the prepper may not be at home/ location of their supply at the time of desperate need and be unable to get back to the stockpile. He emphasized the need to prepare spiritually for physical suffering because we WILL face it. We need to practice fasting and trusting God because eventually that is what those who are left will have. He also suggested that those being compelled to prep may be inspired by God to not just prepare for themselves and their family - but travelers who may pass by ie, the prepper may never use their supplies but those left may find it and answer to their prayer. While I would love to buy every prep for all situations heaters/ water storage/ food/ medicines - I do not have the room or money to be able to do this. I keep a modest supply of items but would never be able to get thru true devastation for any length of time. I will be relying on God and my Blessed Grapes

I agree with you completely. This over talking about physical prepping shouldn't be in the forefront. Assessment of our soul in relation to God should be. A little prepping, then pray, pray, pray. Our lives could be demanded of us tomorrow. Multiplication of food has never been an issue for Jesus. A strong sense of self-reliance can be dangerous. I was thinking when Jesus sent the disciples out in pairs, taking no second cloak or sandals etc. Then His power would work through them. We need to be "in want" for our faith to be restored.
I’m still watching CP but I have an inability to truly prep for some reason. I hope that rabbit and squirrel taste like chicken. I see that some weeds are edible also. I suppose that I am trusting in God but I know that I need to work on this more
Prepping is in some respects for the birds. It is also spiritually damaging. I'm sure there are people who have been prepping physically for decades and have now died still waiting for armageddon. The best thing is to stay in the state of grace, continue to grow in discipleship, and of course make modest provisions according to your means. Let's face it. Unless you have an army backing you up those with goods and supplies, if things really did go medieval, would be hounded out and destroyed by the deranged mob. Then what?
I had a great time at a shooting range in Krakow a couple of weeks ago. Americans have easy access to the opportunity to shoot and indeed own Glocks, AR15s etc. But the Irish here know there's zero chance of that here so while I had the chance I took it and shot them all AKs pump action shotgun AR15 Vector sniper rifles Glocks and other stuff that gave a kick and went bang I don't remember the name of. I know almost nothing about guns but now I know what fun they are to shoot. But afterwards I did reflect on whether I could use them to take a life. I agree with BrianK's reflections but I don't live alone. Who knows what we are capable of until we are tested for real.
Exactly. This is what prevents me from anything more than modest and prudent prepping. Even sharing which we should do would be fraught with risk.

Buy a little carbon monoxide alarm to go with it for safety. Beware the exhaust does not touch anything it goes burning hot. Turn it to its highest temp at startup up for a while to burn off excess carbon. Do not use whilst sleeping. Do not use when drunk. Do not use the jubilee clips sent with it, go and get good quality ones. You can use red untaxed diesel with these legally and it save a mint. Watch a few instructional videos on utube , the Chinese instructions are dire if you do not read Mandarin...and who does? Keep an eye on it. Make sure your place remains well ventilated. Buy a good tough safe Jerry can to save running back and forward to the gas station. I have been a prepper and it's funny you mention what you said. I often pray about my supplies with this exact intention, that it is not mine to be used but God's to do with it what He wants especially if going to others who may need it more than I.
This discussion reminded me of a dream I had that I posted here back in 2014 in the share you dreams thread. 4. Nuclear Explosion NYC end of April 2014: I was standing on a hillside over looking the Manhattan skyline. I remember my dad there and another presence but can't remember now if it was an angel or possibly a saint. I turn to the east and look at this missile streaking towards the city. As it gets over the center of the city I see the flash and then mushroom cloud. Next thing I remember I am on a train north of the city trying to tell everyone what was going and and who was behind this and that this was all allowed to happen by the president selling the country out to the Russians and Chinese since we were broke as a nation. I knew this was the precursor of more horrible things to come and no one would believe me or listen to me. I remember then needing to figure out how to get back home to my family in Kentucky then I woke up.
Yes we do need to feel our dependance on Jesus. He is our portion and cup, our only security, the rock on which we stand.
Don’t get me wrong, I so wish when I was younger and more able bodied that I Would have been able to buy or build a homestead and live off the grid would have been my dream. I still wish I had the room to do serious prepping (no one will convince me that Nate on the Canadian Prepper doesn’t have his own bomb shelter) but alas I am who I am and where I am. I keep thinking I’m bettering myself spiritually and keep sliding back down. It can be very discouraging.
