Yes it is. My daughter needs prayers as she wants a home birth and this could cause issues with that. Our hospitals are crazy re the cov id stuff and we just don't want to get caught up in it all.

They say Europe is experiencing the biggest drought in 500 years. They should all come to Ireland and get drowned with the rest of us.:)

I understand that after this last set of remains were found, Hillary Clinton was spotted trying desperately to refill Lake Mead, but apparently her hose isn't big enough.

May God heal these poor people and bring them to conversion and repentance.

I have been working with a poor young Catholic man who is living with another in a homosexual relationship. He suffers from deep clinical depression , is taking medication and has started missing work shifts. He tells me how very sad he feels. My own belief is that this sadness arises from a life of deep sin. Sin only leads to unhappiness/ I wish I could explore all this with him, but this topic is so dangerous these days. He could explode like a rocket if I suggest such thoughts to him...

But I am praying for him. Of course all our lives our touched by sadness but nothing compares to the joy of having Jesus and His Mother as companions.

I was leaving Church after Mass last week and I mentioned to Jesus that I was sorry to leave Him alone in the Tabernacle in an empty Church. He tapped me gently on my chest and said,

'But I am here in the Tabernacle of your Heart. I am leaving here with you!'

I wish this sad lonely young man could know this joy.

The Tabernacle of the praying heart. This constant friendship.

I see in European Rivers exposed by the huge drought, 'Hunger Stones' are emerging which commemorate last droughts/famines. On them people in the past carved little messages of the year and so on. One from the Great Drought of 1613 says simply, 'Look on us and cry', which to put it mildly looks very, very ominous.

It seems clear that this is world wide drought now. It appears to be everywhere.

Some of the more famous ones are gone now. The Altarstein or Elfenstein was a hunger stone in the Rhine near Bacharach, which in the 19th century was thought of as a Roman altar to Bacchus (hence the alternative Latin name “Ara Bacchi”). If it was visible due to low water levels, it was interpreted as predicting a good vintage. Victor Hugo saw and described it on his trip along the Rhine in 1840. Considered a danger to shipping, the stone was dynamited in 1850.

    Other notable stones:

    • Still surviving, a hunger stone in the Rhine near Worms-Rheindürkheim was first inscribed in 1857, and most recently in “Hunger Year 1947.”
    • A rather more cheerful tradition accompanied the occasional emergence of a large stone in the Moselle, near Traben-Trarbach: Bottles of wine would be buried near its base, to be drunk when it became visible next time.
    • A hunger stone in the Elbe near Bleckede reads: Geht dieser Stein unter, wird das Leben wieder bunter — “When this stone submerges, life becomes more cheerful again”.
    • A stone in the Elbe near Magdeburg has a more contemporary message: Wenn du mich siehst, ist Klimakrise. August 2018 Greenpeace. — “When you see me, the climate is in crisis.”
This year is the most recent occurrence of droughts only a few years apart, bringing the hunger stones to the surface. Previous instances were 2018, 2015, and 2003. Thanks to globalized agriculture, none of these droughts has led to famines. But the increased frequency could be seen as an important, long-term manifestation of climate change in Central Europe.

Not everybody sees hunger stones as a bad omen. The townspeople of Meissen were so disappointed by the disappearance of their historical Hungerstein that they installed a new one in 2018.

It just occurs to me that these Religious Statues are now being seen from 600 years ago..then 600 years ago for a considerable period of time been at least as low as it is now....what does that that say about Human led Global Warming?

I notice how few people are talking about the like of Greta Turnburg now. People just want heating and light in their homes no matter where it comes from...

How can there be such a thing as a Global Drought/Famine? I have heard of droughts/ famines in regions or countries of the world. But one that encompasses the entire planet?

    This is something new.
