Hi, I need help so badly.. I've already been sent to the hospital for despair..I feel we are going through the second coming and Ive committed a vast amount of mortal sins in the past year ( my fault I know ) I know sins can't be forgiven during the second coming as Jesus is here to judge and not forgive.

So what am I expected to do , wait for hell and just call myself a foolish virgin.

So.many scripture indicate Jesus becomes like the sun during the second coming, the light and many will have dreams and visions and be purified.

    I feel I'm becoming more evil ..

I can't cope, it's all my fault. I use to be holy and do pro life campaigns and rosary promotions but I've ruined it all and I hate myself .

I can't believe what I've done, I've lost my salvation and I use to work so hard for it.

Listen carefully. You have bought the enemy's lie that you are so bad Jesus cannot forgive you. WRONG WRONG WRONG. A humble and a contrite heart He will not despise. (Paraphrasing the psalm) the Second Coming is NOT YET. A purification is upon us to wake us up and send us back to Jesus. Get to confession as soon as you can and keep repeating Jesus I trust in You. He is calling you back with loving persistence. Go with Him. Get to confession.

AED has given very sound advice. Hold tight to it.
You are right - these are dangerous times indeed. If satan can win you over to him through despair and loss of hope - you bet he will do all in his power to make you fall.
So fight despair. Fight it like your life depends on it.
I've faced debilitating despair even recently. I've done just as AED advised - and it WORKS.

In addition, keep very busy. I can't stress this enough. Work hard at your job if you have one. At home, keep busy cleaning, mending, gardening, cooking. In my years of suffering from depression housework kept me from tragedy. I did all of it so that my family was cared for and so that I did not become a burden to them. I can't even begin to tell you how much that helped me.

So, fight on. So many of us are fighting too.

YES! While you still have breath in your body you can ask Jesus to forgive you " and buy back eternity." (Jesus's words to the Holy nun St Joseph Menendez)

But what about the parable.of the virgins, the ones who oil ran out, they were alive

Or the parable of the master who got drunk and thought the lords coming was late, he then repented , but God has already judged his soul

    Padrepiofan,

Listen to yourself: "it's all my fault; I've ruined it all; I hate myself. I have committed a vast number of mortal sins and am becoming more evil. You even suggest that soon Jesus will come as Judge and it will be too late to experience His Mercy.

Maybe you have committed many mortal sins in the past year. Your reaction has been to condemn yourself.

There are many successful people in the world who have committed many mortal sins, who reject the truth that they face judgment from God. You are in a much better place than they.

So try not to wring your hands in despair because the Lord remains ever ready to extend the merits of the Cross to you and forgive you. And every time His Mercy cleanses your heart in this way, thank Him and try your best to move forward: pray everyday. Attend Holy Mass. Receive Holy Communion and go to confession regularly. Given your situation I would try to go to confession every two weeks. Focus on the love God has for you: fathomless!

Reject what appears to be the devil's most frequent temptation: that you are hopeless. A lie from the pit of Hell.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Here’s what happened to me in March of this year. It may be something to consider, though it might not apply to you.
I have struggled with self hatred and self condemnation for decades, since the age of 12, I think. Difficult family of origin issues which came to a head with the death of my father, and subsequent family legal crises. I spoke with a very gentle, wise priest (over the phone!!) and he said that I needed to confess unforgiveness towards those that had hurt me. He urged me to go immediately. I went to a different priest for the sacrament, following the first priest’s exact advice. I was very surprised to realize a short while afterwards that my self hatred and condemnation was GONE! I still struggle with sin, and am very aware of my many weaknesses but that bottomless pit is gone!

    How wonderful.

You might find that you experience a lot of spiritual progress at the present. Rather like a dam that stops the flow of a river and turns it into a lake. Then when the dam falls the waters surges.

I found this myself when I learnt to forgive through the grace of God.

Hatred and bitterness are a bit like an acid that we take into our hands to throw into the face of an enemy, but we find the acid burns our own hands to the bone. It hurts ourselves more than anyone.

But I have found even when the Dam breaks forgiveness is not a one off but a work in progress. Forgiveness is ongoing.

But when the dam breaks it gets loads easier.

I suspect it is the same with all habitual sin; say impurity. The dam needs to break and that is the work of God. A miracle of grace.

Forgiveness is such a funny thing. I find nowadays it is not the big things but the tiny things I need to work on. I suspect a lot of lack of forgiveness in myself lies rooted in pride.

If I was not so proud it would not matter the least bit what anyone said or did to me.
St Phillip Neri was so right when he said,

'My pride will die half an hour after I do!'

Some very good advice here Padrepiofan. I would also like to suggest that you make an appointment with your Pastor so that you can sit down with him and talk to him about all these things that are troubling you and causing you to dispair. He can spend more time with you this way, give you guidance and set your mind at ease. That’s what I would do. Be assured of my prayers for you.

Yes please get to confession and you will be totally forgiven. Then go every month or more frequently if needed. Then start praying every day.

I haven't been to confession in over a year and have never looked forward to it so much in my life. Unfortunately I have to wait until October. Go as soon as you can padrepiofan.

It sounds as though you are battling an addiction. The path to overcoming addiction is to identify your interior battles and voices, and work on developing accountability partners. Reach out in your struggle, you're not alone; every Christian is battling! Or should be! Identifying the negative conversations in your head and then reaching out to others who can help you battle these voices is the gold standard of recovery. Review these interior conversations, write them down, and address them in an objective light. Doing this with the help of others and with God's help is an especially useful way to gain objectivity and break down the smoke, mirrors, fear and shame as well. Usually forgiveness needs to be put to work, here, too. Is anger or pride motivating these thoughts and feelings? Identify that! Go to confession for that. Also, come up with some battle sentences to respond to your negative voices because they are lies.

Also, put order into your life, set an alarm and commit to the Angelus at 6 am, 12, and 6 pm. Don't stop this prayer. Order is an essential weapon in battling demonic oppression.

Christ did not come for the saints.
He came for the sinners. He came for you, and through His blood, sweat, and tears, He knows how hard it is, He knows the constant battle. He told his apostles to forgive infinitely, 70x7. There is always hope. He cares that you are trying. That's what's important to Him. He is here for you. Reach out, we are all sinners.

Jesus loves you; so much so He's allowing you a very small share in His Passion.

Do your best to stay in the here and now. "What ifs" don't matter because thoughts are not facts.
