Ah yes, great explanation. I didn't see this before I posted. I had also read about strange oppression and other demonic influences entering practices or families who were using homeopathic medicine. Firsthand accounts. It sounded pretty bad. I'd stay far away.

There are some veterinarians who think homeopathy a helpful treatment in certain animal conditions. I never got the impression from any of the ones I know that they had any awareness of an occult connection. I am fairly sure in my memory that the veterinarian who was the principle promoter of homeopathy in Ireland took his own life. I personally only regarded it as an alternative 'science' and dismissed it as completely illogical. I have never used a homeopathic veterinary remedy. I certainly will not do so in the future after reading this thread.

Still, the evils of such New Age practices are dwarfed by those perpetrated by modern Western medicine and likely to be accompanied by more in the future...abortion, sterilisation, contraception, surrogacy, sex changes and accompanying hormonal transformations, creating biological chimeras, cloning, euthanasia and on and on. The danger seems to be that when God is abandoned as our guide, the demons will step in immediately to replace Him, no matter what our scientific credentials.

    Amen.

The only thing I’d caution is that some pagan “holistic” practices really were an attempt to come up with contraceptive or abortifacient potions, and this is the reason the Church was once opposed to these “natural” healers, going so far as to consider some pagan naturalistic healing practices as akin to witchcraft.

  7. Yes Padraig. So coincidental. Too coincidental.

  8. I just bought supplements from a company. They contain ginger, elderberry and a few other things that i researched for stomach problems. I do believe that plants do have cures. In fact it also has echinaciae, zinc and garlic. Pine tea is know to help sinuses and chest congestion. I have a tree outside and would not hesitate to make it if needed. Modern medicine will collapse soon enough and we may be looking for help for ailments. Julie Jahenny made recommendations for the plaque with instructions. Is that considered magical and evil to make an herbal tea? I am curious.

  9. My wife had debilitating morning sickness with our fourth child. Nothing the doctors did helped. She was really suffering.

As part of my job I dealt with a Chinese medicine/ accupuntrist /holistic med practitioner. She was very highly recommended, had all the required training, certification and experience.

I was a new revert to the faith and was unaware of the possible occult connection.

She recommended ginger in large doses. It worked......

Then we lost the child to miscarriage.

I found out later ginger is an abortifacient.

    So much sorrow.
    So much guilt.
I makes me so sad even decades later.

I will never trust any alternative medicine practitioner or practice again unless it is completely free of any possible new-age tainting.

No I don't think there's anything wrong with herbal teas. God did put healing properties into many plants. That's very different from homeopathy.

Oh no...I'm so sorry! Ginger is often used for nausea but I didn't know it is an abortifacient! I've actually always had a strong aversion to ginger so can't stomach it when I'm nauseous.

Goodness, I'm just so sad for you. Don't feel guilty...You didn't know!

  13. Confession helped with the guilt.

But the sadness over a lost child never completely heals.

Im sorry for your loss and pain friend could it be that the loss of your child had nothing to do with the ginger I can find no strong evidence to support that and my wife took large amounts of ginger during all of her seven pregnancys in fact I got fed up looking at it.

  19. Possible.

But there are studies suggesting ginger can have an abortifatient effect.

We had 5 other children. Only one miscarriage shortly after taking the ginger. She didn't take ginger during any other pregnancy.

    Perhaps a coincidence, perhaps not.

    Is it worth the risk?

Modern medicine has become Frankenstein medicine. Chilling. Science run amok. I myselfike and use some so called herbal remedies. In medieval times every monastery had a garden to supply remedies to the monls and the surrounding communities. But the "life force" component in homeopathy is disturbing. And the encyclical did list it with reiki and other occult practices. Given the world we ate in these days I guess we have to be super vigilant. At least I do.
