I'm totally fine...just have a bumpy sore shin, haha. Honestly I've laughed several times today over how ridiculous the whole thing was. Something has been lightened in my spirit today. It may seem weird but it's been a long time since I've found myself looking forward to the next morning just because it's a brand new day. I'm usually surviving minute by minute. Even though my husband will be working extra tomorrow so it'll just be me home all day with the kids, I'm really truly looking forward to tomorrow.
Thanks for this post. I always wondered how Portugal escaped the ravages of the war. Our Lady is the answer! A few months ago Fr Ripperger related how during the exorcism he was conducting the evil spirit revealed his time was almost up. That "He" was coming to end the demon's power. "He" referred to God. Demons will never say the Name. Fr Ripperger thought this might mean the enemy's choke hold on the Church might be ending. No one foresaw thd wonderful consecration yesterday.
I attended the consecration of Russia and Ukraine last night at our cathedral. It was packed and absolutely everything about it was beautiful! It filled me with such hope. It was one of the most catholic celebrations that I have ever attended in our diocese apart from the Latin mass. I was honestly, surprised. Thank you Mary and Jesus!
There was an OK turnout in the cathedral where I went, far from packed, but it was kind of disturbing to see so many people just sitting around outside the church enjoying themselves and seemingly oblivious to what was happening inside. Loud music playing in the plaza across from the church as I went in. I couldn't wait for the doors to close behind me as the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Californication" was drifting in through the open doors for all to hear
That is beautiful! Whenever I learn something new about prophecy or the faith I wonder why the heck that is the first I have heard of it. Seems like something that should be well known! When I first learned of Fatima and Our lady of Guadalupe and then Garabandal, I wanted to shout it from a mountain!!
President Biden's provocative call for 'regime change' in Russia has been rowed back by the US State Department, surely a de-escalating moment of sanity. Combined with increasing talk of partition of the Ukraine, we might be seeing the beginning of the end of the slaughter, with the help of God. On the day when Our Lady said 'yes' to God, we might be seeing God saying 'Yes' to Our Lady.
Does anyone have an idea of how many Bishops actually joined in the consecration? There's a report that a number of Bishops attended a two day conference in Chicago on 24th and 25th March. I suppose that they could have done the consecration privately but that doesn't seem right. I'm wondering now what percentage of Bishops actually joined with the Pope. I know that it wouldn't be possible for every single Bishop to do it and I know that they couldn't be coerced but what difference would it make if a lot of Bishops opted out? I'm more than a little concerned at this news. If it were just that group of Bishops I suppose it would be OK but how may opt-outs would it take to have a negative effect?
Thank you, Muzhik, for setting my mind at rest. Convinced that this consecration will prevent a world war, I get the jitters when I hear of anything that might cast doubt on it.
This reminds me of Saint Theresa of Avila who when she tripped and fell flat on her face in a puddle of water, complained to Jesus for letting her fall. She said Jesus, You complain that so few souls love You, well what do You expect if You treat them like that.
If one of the greatest saints, and a Doctor of the Church to boot, can say that, there's hope for us all! I suppose that someone who knew Our Lord so faithfully and intimately goes to show how absolutely human He is, and not just a Divine Being. One of the better qualities of being human is to have a sense of humour. Our Lord would have to have a great sense of humour. We all need a lot of that sense, these days.
I once saw an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist trip and fall as she was about to distribute Holy Communion. All the consecrated hosts spilled out on the floor. The Papal Nuncio was at the Mass and the church was packed. Poor lady. My heart went out to her.
I witnessed an EMHC in high heels walking down the steps from the altar with a chalice of the Precious Blood, trip and spill it all over herself and the steps. Horrifying!
