This may be an odd prayer request, but I found out today that Bruce Willis is ending his acting career because he's been diagnosed with aphasia...a progressive disease that affects one's ability to speak and eventually to be able to understand speech or communicate. I read that most people die within 3 to 12 years of being diagnosed, if it's the type I was reading about. I have a very special place in my heart for Bruce Willis, because he reminds me so much of my dad. I'm broken-hearted that he doesn't seem to have any faith at all anymore and I'm hoping to save his soul. Please help me pray for him, that he will come back to God before it is too late. I want to see him in Heaven one day!
I just heard this on the news a minute ago. Sad he is financially wealthy and in spiritual poverty. Yes, we should pray for him. I hope he realizes his real loss before his mind loses its ability to do so. He does seem to be a decent guy.

A priest, who was the spiritual director of a lay organization that was devoted to Jesus and Mary, was visiting Las Vegas to give a series of talks about discipleship. During one of their breaks, a group treated Father to a nice lunch in a popular restaurant. After their meal, the waitress told them that their check was already taken care of and pointed out who the generous patron was. It was Reba McEntire. The priest did not know her as he was just visiting from Goa, India. Father told the group that he was going to pray for her and her intentions for the rest of his life. He also told the group of lay disciples that when your attention is drawn to a person, famous or unknown, God is directing a believer's prayers to a soul that He loves. Father also said he saw a picture of Madonna (the pop singer) and had been praying for her for some time. I would never have thought to pray for Bruce Willis, but I will now.
It is always good and worthy to pray for the salvation of one of God’s children. I will include him in my prayers.
I love this, thank you! I have always loved Bruce Willis...not in that celebrity crush way, but with a deep feeling of just loving the personality God created in him. My husband has always joked that Bruce is my adopted father, he just doesn't know it, haha. It's too bad that I never thought to pray for him until now, and I'm haunted by thoughts of him ending up in Hell... I think how awful it must be for God each time He loses forever a child He created so carefully and lovingly...each person a masterpiece. As I was heading out the door to take my son to his violin lesson, I commented to my husband, "If only I knew what it would take to save Bruce Willis' soul.." Lying by the door was a booklet I randomly bought at my parish book store a few weeks ago and hadn't looked at. I grabbed it and took it with me to read during the violin lesson. It's called "The Two Divine Promises," and would you believe what it said (an alleged promise made by Christ to a Polish nun back in the 1950s): "Each individual who will receive Holy Communion worthily for 30 consecutive days, and will recite one Our Father and Hail Mary for the welfare of the Holy Catholic Church, will receive for himself and one other soul selected by him, the assurance of Eternal Salvation." Now I can't know if this apparition and promise is true or not, but the fact that I randomly grabbed and read this right after asking what I must do to save Bruce Willis, seems like God's answer to me. So I will do it.
I am very familiar with that little booklet. It led me to Srs. Josefa, Faustina, and Benigna. I am convinced that God will honor those promises based on His merciful love. When I was a younger mom, I found out some very disturbing things involving my Dad; I was worried about his eternal salvation. My Mom and Dad had eight children and I couldn't imagine any of us separated for an eternity. So I followed the conditions for thirty consecutive days and asked Our Lord to save my Dad. It took many years before God showed me He had heard my prayers. Dad, a non-practicing Jew, was baptized into the Catholic Church when he was 87 years old. He died with a priest annointing him at his bedside. I'm so glad you reminded me about how rich our faith is...so may gifts.

Bruce Willis reminds me a lot of my brother-in-law who recently passed away from pancreatic cancer. Their personalities and the way they look are similar, except my brother-in-law was taller, more muscular, and balder. This saddens me about Bruce.
