We can't base our expectations of the outcome of the Consecration upon the character of Pope Francis. God used Judas in the most crucial Act of His Salvation.

    Amen!
Besides, Fr. Gruner didn’t know PF….not sure how he knew that the pope after PB would be the one, but this consecration was ordained in heaven no matter who the pope was or is.
Fr. Gruner from the Fatima Center killed himself trying to get this done! well done good and faithful servant!
Thank you Fr. Gruner! RIP….pray for us!

Precisely, and even more telling, it would not necessarily fulfill the exact request of our Lady of Fátima. Hence, we’d still be in BIG TROUBLE moving forward!

The blessed irony is that most of the global leadership and its media mouthpieces have deemed Russia absolute persona non-grata. This will make it more difficult for those among the hierarchy who might wish to abstain from partaking in the Consecration. These liberal types like to soak up the approval of the great and the good and might not wish to be accused by unbelievers (we know they don't give tuppence for the opinions of the faithful) of failing to 'show solidarity' with the Ukraine.

    Good point.

They might be cornered into doing it for Ukraine and by default Russia.

    It's wonderful how God works.

I am sure He has a good sense of humour.:)

Even the Consecration of Russia itself is intended to divert her from pursuing war. So, there are few excuses. I have heard of one Irish bishop who accused of 'heresy' those who saw COVID as a possible chastisement for recent sins. Perhaps, the likes of him will dismiss all this as 'superstition', but that would seem even to many of the atheists to be poor form. These types are all for show and signalment of virtue, so they'll be critical of any bishop who doesn't go along with it.

The Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon will also participate with a Mass and Consecration with Pope Francis. Slowly but surely more Bishops are joining in. This should give us great hope!

UPDATE: Archbishop Sample will join the Holy Father and bishops across the world for an international consecration. Livestream of Archbishop Sample's consecration will start at 9a.m. PST (5p.m. Rome).

Join us in praying a novena for the conversion of Russia and peace in Ukraine.

On Friday, March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation, Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. On the same day in Fatima, Cardinal Krajewski, Apostolic Almoner and envoy of the Holy Father, will make the same consecration.

The Latin Rite Catholic bishops of Ukraine, who requested that the Holy Father make this consecration, are asking the whole world to join the people of Ukraine in praying a novena beginning TODAY and leading up to the day of consecration.

Any novena prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary or Our Lady of Fatima can be used. See the link in our bio for prayers & more information.

He'll hardly pay much attention to me, but I emailed my archbishop, asking him to join with Pope Francis in the Consecration. Praying that he'll respond.

I went and forgot what Our Lady of Fatima promised would happen if the Consecration asked for took place.

'Russia will be converted and a Period of Peace will be Granted to the World'.

How wonderful. What an awful lot we have to look forward to.:):)

It would be cruel if it were meant that way.

    I don't think so.

I must say I am feeling loads and loads more hopeful about things.:):):)

Thank God and the Blessed Virgin.

Well I was about to book a week in Krakow - to visit shrine of Divine Mercy/St Faustina -- had flights ready to pay for & had sudden urge to chekc entry requirements when I realised you need to be fully vaccinated!!

So that was that out the window.

Checked Portugal, you can get in with lateral flow/PCR test so booked Lisbon instead - will spend a whole day in Fatima.

In Ohio, Archbishop Schnurr, Bishop Bonnar, and Bishop Thomas (so far) all informed me they will do the consecration. Two of them will do it in union with all the priests in the diocese. I wrote to six bishops total. My email was only one sentence and I am surprised to have gotten their responses so quickly. I am deeply grateful for their positive responses.
