I totally understand that. We've been praying for so long for it to be done again, and done right, and here is the closest we've come in decades to a chance to do it right....I just think it's a time for hope and doing everything we can with prayer, fasting, and contacting our bishops and the pope. If Catholics united on this and raised our voices to our Church leaders and God, we could get this accomplished.

It occurred to me while I was thinking and praying about this today that if this is the real deal, and the consecration is carried out as Mary requested, we may expect a couple things in these next 10 days: 1. A major ramp up of temptations, distractions, and attacks, as satan knows what's coming and what's at stake. He will probably try hard to prevent it and will go after all of us who are praying/fasting/spreading the word about needing our bishops. He will stir up conflict so we won't be united. We must stay in the state of grace, persist in prayer and fasting no matter what, go to Mass as often as possible, and try to be humble in all our interactions. Satan is powerless against humility. 2. I would not be surprised at all if false apparitions/visionaries that are demonically influenced come out with messages in the next few days disparaging the upcoming consecration...saying it's all a sham, or it's too late, etc. So I'd be on guard against that. 3. Satan may stir up larger trouble, to take our eyes off of this and make us fearful again. We must stay the course and give this all we've got in prayer so it has a chance of finally doing what Mary needs to save the world. If it turns out that it doesn't appear to fulfill Our Lady's requests, at least we'll know we did all we could and really put in our best effort for Our Lady. No prayer or sacrifice goes to waste. It will have a good effect, even if it turns out to not yet be the full consecration we hope for. And in the end, it WILL be done, for Mary said it would.
PF- you are spot on! satan will be doing all in his power to stop this from happening as Our Lady requested. And yes, we all should check our pride (the root of almost all sin) in these next 10 days. Humility will defeat satan. It’s Lent so we all should be accepting the Cross during this season anyhow. Our extra prayers as you note will be efficacious even if consecration is not done the right way. May I add that in addition to prayers, maybe in these next 10 days we do an extra fast day. Perhaps even just a fast on bread and water for those physically able to do so. And maybe up the alms giving. As you noted, these are great practices (especially in Lent) and will have great benefit Peace
No, this is not what Our Lady asked for. Our Lady said Russia, not Ukraine or Moldova, the USA or the European Union. Many here may not agree with Our Lady, but She precisely identified Russia as the source of the evil that is still very much alive today, as we have seen in the last two weeks. Just as John XXIII did not have the courage to consecrate Russia and John Paul II did not have the courage to mention specifically the name of that nation, for diplomatic reasons, so Francis will consecrate the aggressor and the attacked nation on the same level for the same diplomatic reasons. What will the Pope do when Russia extends its crimes to other nations?
It's hard not to suspect that Pope Francis is uninclined to offend his friend Kirill, and has perhaps opted for an equal opportunity consecration requirement.
