Applying for work

When my youngest son went for his first serious job interview, he asked a good question, but basically lost the job by being too honest! His good question was asking for the distinction between two sets of chemicals he would be working and to whom his assessments would be reported. In other words, he took it to a level beyond what would be his immediate responsibilities and delved into the team's responsibilities. But the interviewer subsequently informed him that the reason that he lost the position was that he was "too honest". He was asked how often he had arrived late at his current job; his response was "a number of times" rather than focusing on his improvement over time. One other thing to do is gather as much pertinent information about the company who is offering the position so that during the interview they can see you've done your homework.

So I would suggest you sit down with someone you respect (maybe someone you had put down as a referral) and go over your last interview. They could recommend areas for improvement. I'll be praying.

 

I applied for job working the grounds of a local museum, I like it both because I love history and because, working the ground would probably give me good practice and experience in preparation for becoming a homesteader.

Please pray that I get this job if it's the Lord's will, I applied a few days ago and am waiting to hear back from them.

 

Lord, bless RW with this museum job that it may provide him with a stream of income and work with his hands to accent the beauty of your creation. Dear Lady, pray for your child in this regard!

I may have a job interview tomorrow, please pray for me.

 

Very timely, I was just watching the rebroadcast of daily Mass on EWTN a few minutes ago and I always have the closed caption on. Well between Mass and an old episode of Mother Angelica Live, the CC said "Pray to St Joseph if you are looking for a job". I don't know if this was Mother talking before the show started but the episode is about St. Joseph. Good luck and you'll be in my prayers!
