Thank you for your concern, Carmelite. I believe I've turned the corner tonight. In the mid-afternoon I experienced for the 3rd day in a row a constriction in my breathing due to a feeling of heaviness in my upper lungs, as if they didn't want to easily expand. On the other hand, my oxygen levels are good and my regimen is complete now: ivermectin, D, zinc, hydroxychloroquine. We've axed burning wood for the time being which has eliminated any chance of residual smoke in the air. In my bedroom, I'm sleeping in a recliner which keeps me upright. My beautiful wife, Geralyn, is here and my two daughters called to give moral support and share some laughs. Christopher called to keep me abreast on how wonderful it would be for Geralyn and I to move to Texas. So if the meds don't work, love surely will! The world keeps turning and January has turned into a true winter. We had a 20" snowfall in the second week and have had over 13" the last couple days, with Geralyn bearing the brunt of snow removal this time. Life shall go on! Jesus remains on the Throne!I'll offer up my remaining difficulties for MOG members since I won't be going to Adoration tomorrow night! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us all! Place us under your protective Mantle!
Dear Terry, What a relief that you are on the mend! You’ve weathered the storm! Yeah! Praise Jesus. Continue the recovery!
Praying for all asking for prayers on this thread. I’ve had the virus twice and am thankful to have gotten through it. Praised be God.
Praise the Lord, Mario. Thank you Denise, for the prayers. I cannot imagine going through this scourge TWICE. UGH. God bless you.
Gosh Denise…I pray you’re done! I’m waiting to get this new variant just to get it over with. Dr, Campbell said everyone is going to get this one. If he’s right, I’m glad it a less serious variant.
This is such good news! Thanks be to God. Very smart to limit the wood smoke. And sitting in the recliner to sleep is an old trick of mine. I've lived with respiratory issues for years and these are good strategies. Just so very glad you have turned a corner. Bravo Geralyn! But then don't forget you took care of her when she had covid.reading your weather report makes me think Texas might be a good idea! We are coping with snow turned to rain and overnight freeze. Everything is a skating rink. Texas sounds good!
my question is if with omicron the virus still causes a systemic disease that attacks kidneys, blood clotting, and heart, or if it just causes respiratory disease.
Although they are saying Omicron doesn't cause respiratory issues, no one really knows how much Delta is still out there. A guy at work was off last week sick, I rapid tested him last Friday on day 6 and he was negative. His wife has been off for 10 days from her job with confirmed covid. Although he was feeling a bit better on Friday over the weekend he got worse. Fever, cough and clearly quite sick. I tested him this morning and he was positive. (that T line came in fast and bright on the strip) So he is off for 5 more days minimum. His symptoms were clearly worse than Omicron for sure. Funny that the unvaxed guy is taking on the testing at work but someone has to. I use a quality medical mask, keep good distance and sanitize. As I mentioned to him and I think many don't realize is we can get multiply viruses at the same time. The belief we only get one at a time just isn't true. People could get flu virus and covid virus at same time easily right now.
Good question. I am not sure the "experts" know but if we follow South Africa 's reports it seems mainly a mild respiratory infection.
Our cases are steadily rising here. 92% vaccinated in my Canadian province. Before vaccines we had no hospitalizations and now ICU filling and hospital getting busy. I am told 65% of our hospitalizations are vaxed people. There are some who have very mild symptoms, then a friend's of ours was knocked right off his feet. Though he had no respiratory distress. So strange how it hits everyone so differently. I truly wonder about the vaccines program and what it's really doing.
