Your ancestors didn't fight for the Ireland we have now, that's for sure. I don't listen to or watch RTE at all, apart from hurling and football, and seldom watch the BBC, but even that very liberal institution is more objective than the denizens of Donnybrook.

It is my understanding that death rates in 2021 are up compared to prior years.

There could be a race now between attempting to vaccinate everyone and the completion of a mass natural vaccination by the highly contagious Omicron. They've started stepping up on our winter booster programme, but my money's on the little virus! There're very many reports now of people, vaccinated and unvaccinated, showing positive, many getting tested for reasons of travel in the Christmas period. Very few have noticeable symptoms, from what I'm hearing.

I think this is because, at its core, the current war is a spiritual one.

Yes, agreed. But are you sure vaccines are effective?

Yes, and we know where division comes from, it comes from the diabolical. So we know what stance to take on the vaccines

Governor Larry Hogan, the governor of Maryland, routinely tests himself for Covid. He has received the vaccine and a booster. Today he tested positive for Covid.

Yes, things appear confused under the surface, but beneath all the fog and mist two armies gather for the Final battle. The angels have sounded their Trumpets of War.

How terrible that the ones who were supposed to lead us in this have betrayed us and joined Darkness in the Fight. The one who should have spoken out has fallen silent.

But Mary is our General and so we have already Triumphed.

Yes, Maria. You have great insight on all counts.... I think though that it doesn't really matter whether you're right or wrong on pretty much all of those matters you detail above.
What matters is that you are humble. And your humility keeps you from creating division and from 'blaming' others. Christ does not like division.
I just read 5 minutes ago - on the back of a book I'm about to start reading, that Jesus said to be ever watchful for the signs of his return. To keep yourself on the straight and narrow. And significantly, He also urged [us] to test everything, to take nothing for granted nor at face-value.
Too many people, I believe, have listened to a narrative without properly questioning -- or 'testing' -- it.
I have fallen-out with a lot of people (who think I'm bonkers) for merely advising them to think critically.

Many of those people then thought I'd 'see sense' after catching such a bad dose of it. And they carried that smug, 'sanctimonious' look on their faces that you speak of, when I bumped into them.
They neglect however Jesus' advice; for we truly must 'test everything'.
And I think that advice applies more meaningfully now - in our present time, than ever before.

Yes! Test everything. I am not sure of anything that appears in the news, and I am not sure of the statistics. I am so glad you are well now.

    Aweeeee, thank you so much!

There's no doubting it was a potent disease. But as someone said earlier in the thread, natural immunity must come. And are these people now in a race to get as many jabbed as possible before, collectively - humanity beats it?
Maybe that's why they've become ever more draconian in their approaches.

    Yes, jackzokay,

They neglect however Jesus' advice; for we truly must 'test everything'.

JoeJerk attempts to divide and conquer by tempting us to pride, no matter on what side of the aisle we stand. I have been careful not to broadcast my current situation (non-chaplain) in my parish, though some are surprised at my recent availability. It will be public soon enough.

I can't judge the pro-vaccers; they are tuned into the MSM where there is virtually no deviation from the vaccination selling points. Similarly, I must not gloat either. For instance, I have a close relative who is diabetic and must work to have insurance, thereby avoiding any mix-up or stoppage in her insulin supply.

On the other hand, the formulators of the Great Reset are a different breed and I pray that some of them will repent!

    Lord have Mercy!

I heatd part of this interview. I think it was Claire Byrne interviewing. The doctor said somewhat scoffingly - For the rest of the world Omicron is a major illness but for South Africa it's not. Asked why that is, he said only 40% vaccinated so it's not that. In desperation Claire said, But the majority of those in hospital are invaccinated and he agreed. As far as I recall she ended the interview there. On that note so to speak.

In Ireland when RTE give figures showing larger numbers of unvaccinated in hospital they are quick to point out that this is disproportionate to the general population which is 90% vaccinated. To apply this reasoning to the S African situation appears to have slipped the mind of Claire Byrne's earpiece prompter.

If the majority are unvaccinated, it's inevitable that the majority of those who end up in hospital will be unvaccinated. Either Claire Byrne, or her prompter, are devoid of basic logic or the question was disingenuous. Given the prompt ending of the interview at that specific point, it's hard to avoid suspecting the latter.

I very much cling to this prophecy, it also contains a message of Our Lady crushing the proud head of satan. I keep thinking the quote about the one who should speak falling silent relates to Pope em. Benedict.

Yes, but what might be even more fearsome is that it might refer to,say the next Pope, who may very well be even worse than Pope Francis. It is hard to believe that there could be a worse Pope but it is quite possible.

Thanks Jack, but it's not so much humility as a fear that if I get the virus and die there'll be a sign on the pearly gates saying "no admittance without a vaccine passport".

We did see the worst of some people but we also saw the best of many. I know a home care worker whose workload almost doubled due to at risk colleagues having to stay home during the lockdown. Unlike people in fulltime care, her clients had no restrictions on visitors which meant that she had to be extra vigilant. And there are plenty more like her who stepped up to the plate quietly and without any fuss in all sorts of jobs providing service to the public. It's the same in the Church. Plenty of priests did their best to minister to their flock quietly without drawing attention and the wrath of the covid nazis down upon them. Not just priests, but Deacons like Mario and probably many people in lay ministries too. We tend to focus on the bad ones but for every Bishop of Berlin there are tens or maybe hundreds of good people serving in the Lord's vineyard. I thank God for them. Sadly, I can't say the same about our political leaders. One brush would be enough to tar the lot of them.
