prayers Rick, from what I have learned I don't think mucus is a condition associated with covid so you may well have a secondary infection, Can I suggest you also look into or try neem supplements..
I thought that this Ivermectin would allow me to recuperate faster. It knocked my cough out pretty quickly for the most part. But I still have a small headache. But the thing that worries me the most is my wheezing. When I try to breathe I wheeze and cough with just a little phlegm comes out. Has other people have the same problem with the wheezing? I have been extremely tired and extremely weak. My oxygen level is in the 90’s, which I don’t understand how it could be in the 90s with the wheezing. My wife couldn’t find any Neem in this small town. but I have some NAC. I wonder if that would help. I have been taking Mucinex but that knocks me out. I pray that I am going to get better. I took the FlCCc protocol of 0.4 twice. I wonder if I need to take more of the Ivermectin. Any suggestions for a faster recovery will be helpful. If this wheezing doesn’t get any better, I might need to go see a doctor I think.
Wheezing is a common symptom of asthma. Perhaps your md would give you an inhaler for a temporary treatment? Praying for you Rick. I've suffered from respiratory stuff all my adult life. It is no fun and scary.
Great advice Ann! If I remember, I’m betting Rick is probably taking all of the immunity supplements. If so, he’ll recover and prayerfully without going to a hospital. Rick, since you’ve been a solid contributor on this thread, you know and are doing everything right! Still, everyone is different and it might be a bit rough. Honestly, that chicken soup advise was great. It does help.
That nebulizer might help with the wheezing Rick…? The NAC is also for lung support. I personally would absolutely take it.
I found this on NAC…just did a quick search: https://faseb.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1096/fj.202001807
A doctor can prescribe an inhaler. If taking mucinex, drink lots of water, hot liquids along with it. The chicken soup/broth is great.
This FLCCC treatment suggests Vit I of .4-.6 per KG for 5 days or until recovered. So twice is not following the protocol. from FLCCC ivermectin2 0.4–0.6 mg/kg per dose (take with or after a meal) — one dose daily, take for 5 days or until recovered. Use upper dose if: 1) in regions with aggressive variants (e.g. Delta); 2) treatment started on or after day 5 of symptoms or in pulmonary phase; or 3) multiple comorbidities/risk factors Praying for your recovery. NAC has wide ranging benefits, I've taken 600mg for about a month. Rationale for the use of N-acetylcysteine in both prevention and adjuvant therapy of COVID-19 2 INHIBITION BY THIOLS OF SARS-COV-2 BINDING TO CELLS The angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is the functional receptor for severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronaviruses, responsible for entrance into cells of both SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2, the etiological agent of COVID-19.9 Therefore, the interaction of viral spike proteins with ACE2 is a critical step in the viral replication cycle. The receptor binding domain of the viral spike proteins and ACE2 has several cysteine residues. Molecular dynamic simulations showed that the binding affinity was significantly impaired when all the disulfide bonds of both ACE2 and SARS-CoV/CoV-2 spike proteins were reduced to thiol groups. These findings are consistent with the view that the reduction of disulfides into sulfhydryl groups completely impairs the binding of SARS-CoV/CoV-2 spike protein to ACE2 (see Figure 1) and provide a molecular basis for the severity of COVID-19 infection due to oxidative stress.10 Furthermore, both animal studies and clinical studies suggested that supplementation of NAC, which is known to attenuate the tolerance to nitrates, modifies the function of the renin/angiotensin system in vivo. Such an effect is probably mediated by inhibition of ACE activity.11 By blocking ACE, NAC may provide protection from the deleterious effects of angiotensin II, a potentially useful activity in SARS-CoV-2 infection.12
I was also extremely tired and weak for several days. Had to stop twice just climbing a flight of stairs and lean against the wall for support when I walked to the bathroom. It's no joke but that tiredness and weakness will pass, I got my strength back very fast. I didn't have any wheezing. I have heard that a nebulizer will help with that, as someone else suggested. Yes, chicken broth is the way to go, especially if you lose your appetite from loss of taste and smell.
Yes, NAC is there to protect your lungs from the cytokine storm and the clotting effects of covid. It is this clotting in the capillaries going to your lungs that is very fatal and causes your oxygen levels to go way down. NAC also increases your levels of glutathione, which is the master antioxidant in your body since the covid virus depletes it in your early days of sickness and you have to restore it as quickly as possible because the cytokine storms usually happen on Days 7,8,9, and 10...
Thank you Jason…you explained it so much better..I just couldn’t remember it all…it has so many benefits….
